Superfast Special Trains between Pune and Bilaspur

Central Railway has decided to run 14 Superfast Special trains to clear the extra rush of Passengers. The details are as under:

08296 Weekly Superfast special will leave Pune at 15.15 hrs every Wednesday from 01.10.2014 to 12.11.2014 (7 trips) and will arrive Bilaspur at 12.05 hrs next day.

08295 Weekly Superfast special will leave Bilaspur at 12.15 hrs o­n every Tuesday from 30.09.2014 to 11.11.2014 (7 trips) and will arrive Pune at 11.45 hrs. next day.

HALTS: Daund, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Akola, Badnera, Dhamangaon, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Raipur and Bhatapara.

COMPOSITION:-  Two AC 2-Tier, Five AC 3-Tier, Five Sleeper class, 4 General second class and 2 General second class cum guard's brake vans.

RESERVATION: Bookings for 08296 will open from 25.09.2014.

JANSADHARAN Special Trains to clear the Rush During Dasara Season

South Central Railway will run Eight Jansadharan special trains between Tirupati-Nizamabad, Machilipatnam-Tirupati and Tirupati-Kakinada-Renigunta to clear extra rush during the Dussera season.

The Jansadharan special trains are specially designed services to meet the needs of passengers who could not get reserved accommodation in other trains and for those planning their journey in the last minute.

Each of these fully Un-Reserved Jansadharan special trains will be run with all General Second Class Coaches. These services will be useful in easing out the load o­n the General Un-reserved Coaches of regular Express Trains in that route.

For travel for a distance beyond 200 kms, passengers can purchase their tickets three days in advance from General Booking Counters.

I)Tirupati-Nizamabad-Tirupati Jansadharan Special Trains

(via  Vijayawada, Khammam, Kazipet, Secunderabad):- (02 services)

Train No. 07639 Tirupati-Nizamabad Jansadharan Special train will depart Tirupati at 05:00 pm o­n 1st October, 2014 (Wednesday), arrive/depart Secunderabad at 05.50/06.10 am o­n the next day and arrive Nizamabad at 09:25 am.

In the return direction, Train No.07640 Nizamabad-Tirupati Jansadharan Special train will depart Nizamabad at 04:25 pm o­n 2ndOctober, 2014 (Thursday), arrive/depart Secunderabad at 07.40/08.00 pm and arrive Tirupati at 10:00  am o­n the next day.

Enroute, these special trains will also stop at Renigunta, Gudur, Nellore, o­ngole, Chirala, Tenali, New Guntur, Vijayawada, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Kazipet, Janagaon Moula Ali, Malkajgiri, Bolaram, Medchal and Kamareddi stations in both the directions.

These trains will have 14 coaches viz., twelve General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake van Coaches.

II)Machilipatnam-Tirupati- Machilipatnam Jansadharan Superfast Special Trains

(via  Gudivada, Vijayawada, Tenali):- (02 services)

Train No. 07403 Machilipatnam-Tirupati Jansadharan Superfast Special train will depart Machilipatnam at 10:10 pm o­n 30th September, 2014 (Tuesday) and arrive Tirupati at 06:35 am o­n the next day.

In the return direction, Train No.07404 Tirupati- Machilipatnam Jansadharan Superfast Special train will depart Tirupati at 07:15 pm o­n 3rdOctober, 2014 (Friday) and arrive Machilipatnam at 03:45 am o­n the next day.

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Pedana, Gudivada, Vijayawada, New Guntur, Tenali, o­ngole, Nellore, Gudur and Renigunta stations in both the directions.

These trains will have 14 coaches viz., twelve General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake van Coaches.

III)Tirupati-Kakinada-Renigunta Jansadharan Special Trains :- (04 services)

Train No. 07257 Tirupati-Kakinada Jansadharan Special train will depart Tirupati at 10:00 pm o­n 28th September and 5thOctober, 2014 (Sunday), arrive/depart Renigunta 10:23/10:25 and arrive Kakinada at 10:50 am o­n the next day.

In the return direction, Train No.07258 Kakinada-Renigunta Jansadharan Special train will depart Kakinada at 03:00 pm o­n 29thSeptember and 6th October, 2014 (Monday) and arrive Renigunta at 06:00  am o­n the next day.

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Gudur, Nellore, Kavali, o­ngole, Chirala, Tenali, New Guntur, Vijayawada, Gudivada, Kaikaluru, Akivedu, Bhimavaram Town, Tanuku, Nidadavolu, Rajahmundry, Dwarapudi, Samalkot and Kakinada Town stations in both the directions.

These trains will have 10 coaches viz., eight General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake van Coaches.

SPECIAL TRAINS FOR FLOOD-AFFECTED AREAS

N. F. Railway will run two Passenger Special trains between New Bongaigaon – Goalpara Town and Guwahati - Chaygaon from 25thSeptember to 30th September to facilitate travel of flood-affected people as well as restoration materials

The 1st Passenger Special will leave New Bongaigaon at 7 AM to reach Goalpara Town at 8.30 AM. This train will have stoppages at Majgaon, Abhayapuri, Jogighopa and Panchratna. In the return direction, the train will leave Goalpara Town at 1 PM to arrive at New Bongaigaon at 2.15 PM.

The 2nd Passenger Special will leave Guwahati at 7.10 AM to arrive at Chaygaon at 8.30 AM. This train will have stoppages at Kamakhya, Azara and Mirza. In the return direction, the train will leave Chaygaon at 12.30 PM to arrive at Guwahati at 1.50 PM.

THREE MORE TRAINS CANCELLED: Apart from the trains cancelled as mentioned in our earlier press release, the following trains are also cancelled o­n 25th September 2014.

(1) 15471/15472 Alipurduar – Kamakhya – Alipurduar Intercity Express.

Special Train Between Aurangabad-Tirupati Extended

In order to clear extra rush of passenger traffic during Dasara festival season, South Central Railway will extend the run of the Special train between Aurangabad-Tirupati for eight more services.

Train No. 07405 Aurangabad-Tirupati Special Train will depart Aurangabad at 03:00 pm o­n 3rd, 10th , 17th, 24th October, 2014 (Friday) and arrive Tirupati at 03:30 pm o­n the next day.

In the return direction, Train No.07406 Tirupati-Aurangabad Special train will depart Tirupati at 05:10 pm o­n 4th, 11th, 18th 25th October, 2014 (Saturday) and arrive Aurangabad at 08:00 pm o­n the next day.

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Jalna, Parbhani, Purna, Nanded, Mudhked, Basar, Nizambad, Kamareddi, Secunderabad, Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Tenali, Chirala, o­ngole, Nellore, Gudur, Venkatagiri, Srikalahasti and Renigunta stations in both directions.

Online Booking of Retiring Rooms at 18 Stations of SCR Launched

As part of passenger amenities, Retiring Rooms are provided at important/tourist/pilgrim stations over Indian Railways. Shri D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Hon’ble Minister of Railways, has announced in his Budget Speech that the booking of Retiring Rooms will be made o­nline in a phased manner for the convenience of passengers so as to enable them to book retiring rooms in advance according to their itinerary.

            In compliance of the Budgetary announcement made by the Hon’ble Minister for Railways, South Central Railway launches e-booking of Retiring Rooms at the following stations, in the first phase, with effect from 25th September, 2014:

1. Hyderabad
2. Parli Vaijnath
3. Warangal
4. Kurnool City
5. Nizamabad
6. Basar
7. Vijayawada
8. Tenali
9. Rajahmundry
10. Gudur
11. Nellore
12. Tirupati
13. Renigunta
14. Raichur
15. Guntur
16. Nandyal
17. Nanded
18. Aurangabad

 E-booking of retiring rooms at Secunderabad has already been started as a pilot project earlier and is continuing to function.

Advance booking of retiring rooms at the above stations can be done through internet o­n a confirmed /RAC reserved ticket, during the reservation period (advance booking period) by logging o­n www.irctctourism.com.

The following are the main features of the above scheme:

(i) Advance booking of retiring rooms is permitted o­nly o­n confirmed/RAC tickets and not o­n waitlisted tickets.

(ii)   Booking of retiring rooms is not allowed o­n UTS/Printed Card ticket in advance. However, a genuine passenger holding such general ticket for more than 500 Km will be allowed to avail this facility at the railway station o­nly, subject to availability.

(iii)  Booking of retiring rooms will be permitted for a period of 12 hours or 24 hours as per need    

       and in any case not more than a period of 48 hours.

(iv)    On o­ne reserved (PRS) ticket not more than three retiring rooms can be booked.

(v)   In case of all the retiring rooms are booked, the passengers having confirmed tickets desiring to avail retiring room facility will be provided with a waitlist number which will automatically be updated in case of any cancellation.

(vi)    On cancellation of ticket, the booking of retiring rooms shall automatically get cancelled.

(vii)    The cancellation of booking of retiring rooms will attract cancellation charges as under:


  • Deduction of 10% of the amount paid for booking in advance of 48 hours of the day of occupation.
  • Deduction of 50% of the amount paid for booking within a period of less than 48 hours of the day of occupation.
  • No refund o­n cancellation o­n the day of occupation.


(viii)If the passenger does not turn up within o­ne hour of the actual arrival of the train, the Retiring Room Supervisor may release the booked room in favour of the next passenger in the waiting list provided the waitlisted passenger turns up within o­ne hour of the actual arrival of train.

(ix) The mode of refund will be same as the mode of payment.

(x) Passenger who book the retiring room needs to carry any o­ne of the following photo ID cards:

  • Voter ID Card
  • Passport
  • PAN Card
  • Driving License,
  • Photo ID issued by Central/State Government
  • Student ID Card with photograph
  • Nationalized bank’s passbook with photograph
  • Credit Card issued by banks with laminated photographs.


Four Superfast Special Trains between Secunderabad and Kakinada Town

South Central Railway will run four superfast special trains between Secunderabad and Kakinada Town, viz., two services via., Nalgonda, Guntur, Vijayawada, and Rajahmundry and two services via., Kazipet, Vijayawada, and Rajahmundry in order to clear extra rush of passengers as per the following schedule:-

1.         Train No. 07101/07102 Secunderabad-Kakinada Town-Secunderabad Super fast special  train (via., Nalgonda, Guntur, Vijayawada).

Train No.07101 Secunderabad-Kakinada Town Superfast Special Train will depart Secunderabad at 11:30 pm o­n 28thSeptember, 2014 and arrive Kakinada Town at 09.15 am o­n the next day.
In the return direction, Train No.07102 Kakinada Town- Secunderabad Superfast Special Train will depart Kakinada Town at 06:30 pm o­n 29th September, 2014 and arrive Secunderabad at 04:15 am o­n the next day.
Enroute, these trains will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalguda, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry and Samalkot in both the directions.These trains will have 16 coaches viz., o­ne AC II Tier, nine Sleeper Class, four General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake van Coaches.

2.         Train No. 07202/07201 Secunderabad-Kakinada Town-Secunderabad Super fast special train (via., Kazipet, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry).

Train No.07202 Secunderabad-Kakinada Town Superfast Special Train will depart Secunderabad at 11:30 pm o­n 2ndOctober, 2014 and arrive Kakinada Town at 09.45 am o­n the next day.
In the return direction, Train No.07201 Kakinada Town- Secunderabad Superfast Special Train will depart Kakinada Town at 07.15 pm o­n 3rd October, 2014 and arrive Secunderabad at 05:20 am o­n the next day.
Enroute, these trains will stop at Kazipet, Warangal, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry and Samalkot in both the directions.
These trains will have 16 coaches viz., o­ne AC II Tier, nine Sleeper Class, four General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake van Coaches.

CHANGES IN PATTERN OF TRAIN SERVICES IN CHENNAI SUBURBAN TRAINS

To facilitate engineering works at Arakkonam railway station, changes were made in the pattern of some suburban train services in Chennai – Arakkonam section for 28 days from 11.08.2014.  The changes were extended further for a period of 15 days from 09.09.2014.  Now, it is stated that the changes will continue until further advice.  The changes are as given below.

A. The following trains will be partially cancelled between Thiruvalangadu – Arakkonam.

Train No.43803 Chennai Beach - Arakkonam EMU local scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 04.30 hrs.
Train No.43405 MMC – Arakkonam EMU local scheduled to leave MMC at 06.40 hrs.
Train No.43425 MMC – Arakkonam EMU local scheduled to leave MMC at 18.05 hrs.
Train No.43427 MMC – Arakkonam EMU local scheduled to leave MMC at 18.40 hrs.

B.Partial cancellation of Ladies Special EMU between Tiruvallur – Arakkonam.

Train No.43807 Chennai Beach – Arakkonam Ladies Special EMU local scheduled to leave Chennai Beach at 18.05 hrs. will be partially cancelled between Tiruvallur – Arakkonam.

C.Extension of EMU to Chitteri.
Train No.66011 MMC – Arakkonam MEMU fast local scheduled to leave MMC at 17.45 hrs. will be extended to run upto Chitteri.

ADDITIONAL STOPPAGES

For the convenience of rail passengers and to clear extra rush during Festival season, Railway has decided to provide additional stoppage to the Special Train No. 05624/05623 Kamakhya - Bhagat Ki Kothi- Kamakhya Weekly Express at Mahendragarh, Sujangarh, Laudanu, Didwana, Choti khatu & Khatu stations as per following programme:-

The 05624 Kamakhya - Bhagat Ki Kothi weekly express special train will reach Mahendragarh, Sujangarh, Laudanu, Didwana, Choti khatu & Khatu stations at 01.14 p.m., 04.53 p.m., 05.06 p.m., 05.32 p.m., 06.00 p.m. & 06.08 p.m. respectively while in the return direction, the 05623 Bhagat Ki Kothi- Kamakhya Weekly Express special train will reach Khatu, Choti khatu,Didwana, Laudanu,Sujangarh & Mahendragarh stations at 07.11 p.m., 07.19 p.m., 08.12  p.m., 08.38 p.m., 08.51 p.m. & 01.03 a.m. respectively with two minutes stoppage  in both the directions.  

WEEKLY SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN GORAKHPUR AND ANAND VIHAR TERMINAL

In order to clear the extra rush of passengers, the Railways have decided to run festival special Train No 05057/05058 between Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar T. Weekly as per the following programme:

 The 05058 Anand Vihar T - Gorakhpur Weekly Special Train will depart from Anand Vihar T. at 05.10 p.m.on Wednesday i.e. o­n 01.10.2014 & 08.10.2014 (02 Trips)to reach Gorakhpur at 08.00 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the05057 Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar T. Weekly Special trainwill depart fromGorakhpurat 08.55 p.m.on Thursday i.e. o­n 02.10.2014 & 09.10.2014 (02 Trips)to reachAnand Vihar T.at 11.00 a.m. the next day.

 Comprising of Six General Class , Six Sleeper Class ,One A.C. 2 Tier, Two A.C. 3 Tier & Two Second Class cum luggage van coaches, the 05057/05058 Anand Vihar T.- Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar T. Weekly Special Train will stop at Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda ,Lucknow (NR), Moradabad & Ghaziabad stations enroute in both the directions.

PROVISION OF HALT AND CHANGE IN TIMING

It has been decided to provide halt at Basti station in Up and Dn direction to train No. 02017/02018 LTT - Gorakhpur Premium special train running during Puja/Diwali festival season. The halt provided at Bhusaval will be treated as Operational halt.

(B) CHANGE IN TIMINGS OF 02172 JAMMU TAWI -CST MUMBAI WEEKLY SPECIAL -

Train No. 02172 will leave Jammu Tawi at 05.00 hrs (instead of 10.30 hrs) o­n Sunday 28.9.2014 and 5.10.2014 and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai at 22.20 hrs (instead of 00.45 hrs) next day.

There will be no change in the departure and arrival timings of Train No. 02171 Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai - Jammu Tawi special.

RAILWAY EXTENDS RUN OF 09705/09706 JAIPUR-DELHI SARAI ROHILLA-JAIPUR

In order to clear extra rush of rail passengers,Railways has decided to extend the run of09705/09706 Jaipur-Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Jaipur Superfast Ac Special Train(52 trips in each direction)as per the following programme-

In its extended run ,the 09705/09706 Jaipur-Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Jaipur Superfast Ac Special Train will run  daily from 01.10.2014 to 30.11.2014 (except Thursday) from Jaipur & Delhi Sarai Rohilla (52 trips in each direction)

  The 04413 Delhi Jn.– Hoshiarpur Bi-weekly Express Special Train will depart from Delhi Jn. at 09.00 p.m.on every Monday & Wednesday from 29.09.2014 & 26.11.2014 (18 Trips)to reach Hoshiarpur at 05.15 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the 04414 Hoshiarpur – Delhi Jn. Bi-weekly Express Special train will depart from Hoshiarpur at 10.30 p.m.on every Tuesday & Thursday from 30.09.2014 & 27.11.2014 (18 Trips)to reach Delhi Jn. at 07.10 a.m. the next day.

INTRODUCTION OF NEW WEEKLY EXPRESS TRAIN BETWEEN JAMMU TAWI AND SHRIGANGA NAGAR

For the convenience of rail passengers, the Railways have decided to introduce new Train No. 14713/14714 Shriganga Nagar- Jammu Tawi- Shriganga Nagar Weekly Express (Via Abohar, Bathinda, Dhuri)as per the following programme:

  The 14713 Shriganga Nagar- Jammu Tawi Weekly Express Train will depart from Shriganga Nagar at 02.45 p.m.on every Wednesday from 24.09.2014 to reach Jammu Tawi at 02.20 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the 14714 Jammu Tawi- Shriganga Nagar Weekly Express train will depart from Jammu Tawi at 05.30 a.m.on every Thursday from 25.09.2014 to reach Shriganga Nagar at 06.20 p.m. the same day.

 Comprising o­ne A.C. 3 Tier, Seven Sleeper Class, six General Class & Two Second Class cum luggage van coaches, the 14713/14714 Shriganga Nagar- Jammu Tawi- Shriganga Nagar Weekly Express Train will stop at Abohar, Malout, Bhatinda, Rampura phul, Tapa, Barnala, Dhuri, Malerkotla, Ludhiana, Jallandhar Cantt., Dasua, Phatankot Cantt., & Kathua stations enroute in both the directions.

Super Fast Special Trains between Secunderabad and Gondia

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Dussera & Diwali festival season, 28 Superfast Tri-weekly Special Trains will be run between Secunderabad and Gondia as detailed below:-

Tr. No. 08892/08891 Secunderabad – Gondia - Secunderabad Superfast Tri-weekly Special Train (28 Services) :

Train No. 08892 Secunderabad-Gondia Superfast Tri-Weekly Special Train will depart Secunderabad at 06:15 am o­n 24th, 27th, 29th September, 1st, 4th, 6th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th, 20th ,  22nd and 25th October (Wednesday, Saturday and Monday) and arrive Gondia at 06:15 pm o­n the same day.

In the opposite direction, Train No.08891 Gondia-Secunderabad Superfast Tri-Weekly Special Train will depart Gondia at 06:30 am o­n 23rd, 25th, 28th& 30th September, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th 12th, 14th, 17th, 19th, 21st and 24th October, 2014 (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday) and arrive Secunderabad at 06:15 pm o­n the same day.

Enroute, these Tri-weekly Special Trains will stop at Jangaon, Kazipet, Kolnur, Peddapalli, Ramagundam, Manchiryal, Belampalli, Sirpur Kaghaznagar, Balharsha and Nagpur stations in both directions.

These trains will have 20 coaches viz., three AC III Tier, fifteen Sleeper Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake van coaches.

PREMIUM EXPRESS SPECIAL BETWEEN YESVANTPUR-BELGAUM

South Western Railway has decided to run PREMIUM EXPRESS SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN YESVANTPUR-BELGAUM-YESVANTPUR(Tr.Nos.02687/02688) for ONE SPECIAL in each direction, to clear extra rush in ensuing festival season, as per the following details:-

Accordingly, Train No.02687 YESVANTPUR-BELGAUM PREMIUM EXPRESS SPECIAL will depart at YESVANTPUR station at 20-40 hrs., on Wednesday, the 01st October, 2014(One Special only)and arrive at BELGAUM station at 07-10 hrs., the next day.

En route, the Premium Express Special arrives/departs at Tumkur at 21-50/21-52 hrs; Davangere at 01-43/01-45 hrs; HUBLI at 04-30/04-40 hrs; and arrives/departs at Dharwad at 05-03/05-05 hrs., on 29th Sept.2014.

In the return direction, Train No. 02688 BELGAUM-YESVANTPUR PREMIUM EXPRESS SPECIAL will depart at BELGAUM station at 17-50 hrs.,on Sunday, the 05th October, 2014 (One Special Only) and arrive at YESVANTPUR at 05-00 hrs., the next day.

En route, the Premium Express Special arrives/departs at Dharwad at 20-03/20-05 hrs; HUBLI at 20-30/20-45 hrs; Davangere at 22-48/22-50 hrs; and arrive/depart at Tumkur at 03-50/03-52 hrs.

The Express Special will have total 18 Coaches, consisting of Sixteen Second Class Sleeper coaches & Two Second Class luggage-cum-brake vans.

Nos.02657/02658) for 04 Specials in each direction for clearance of extra rush during Holidays and festivals of Dussera and Deepawali, as per the following details:--

Accordingly, Train No.02657 BANGALORE CANTT.-THIRUVANANTHAPURAM CENTRAL PREMIUM EXPRESS SPECIAL will depart at BANGALORE CANTT. at 19-15 hrs. on 26th, 28th & 30th September, 2014 & 02nd October, 14 (Total : 04 Premium Specials) and arrive at THIRUVANANTHAPURAM CENTRAL station at 08-20 hrs., the next day.
