Summer Special Trains between Visakhapatnam and Nanded


In order to clear extra rush of passengers during summer season, thirty four special trains between Visakhapatnam and Hazur Sahib Nanded will run from 5th March to 26th June, 2013 as per the following schedule:-

Train No. 08509 Visakhapatnam - Hazur Sahib Nanded Summer Special Train will depart Visakhapatnam at 19 30 hrs o­n (Tuesdays) i.e., 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th March, 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th April, 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th May and 4th, 11th, 18th & 25th June 2013 and arrives Hazur Sahib Nanded at 14 35 o­n the next day.

In the return direction, Train No. 08510 H.S. Nanded -Visakhapatnam Summer Special Train will depart Hazur Sahib Nanded at 16 15 hrs o­n (Wednesdays) i.e., 6th, 13th, 20th & 27thMarch, 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24thApril, 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29thMay and 5th, 12th, 19th & 26thJune 2013 and arrives Visakhapatnam at 10 15 o­n the next day.

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Kazipet, Secunderabad, Kamareddi, Nizamabad, Basar and Mudkhed.

These special trains will comprise of o­ne AC II Tier, o­ne AC III Tier, ten Sleeper Class, five General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches, totaling to Nineteen Coaches.

Salient Features of the Railway Budget 2013 Pertaining to South Central Railway


The Railway Budget 2013-14 has been presented by Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal, Hon’ble Minister for Railways in the Parliament today (i.e.) 26th February, 2013.

D. ALLOCATION OF FUNDS UNDER SOME OF THE MAJOR HEADS FOR FY 2013-14
·Rs.124 Crores (Crs.) have been allotted towards Passenger Amenities, as against the revised grant of Rs.100 Crs. for FY 2012-13.
·Rs.437 Crs. have been allotted towards construction of New Lines, as against Rs. 281 Crs of last year.

Fare related changes announced in Railway Budget 2013


As per the Railway Budget 2013 presented today by Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal, Hon’ble Minister for Railways, there is no fare increase in any of the classes. However there are changes in Reservation Charge, Supplementary Charge for Superfast Trains, Cancellation charges o­n Reserved Tickets, minimum and maximum Tatkal charges and Clerkage charges which have been increased. The details are furnished in Annexure attached as follows:

SCR to provide Additional Stoppage


South Central Railway will provide one minute halt at Moula Ali Station for Train No. 17202 /17201 Secunderabad-Guntur-Secunderabad Golconda Express with effect from 5th March, 2013on experimental basis.

Train No. 17202 Secunderabad-Guntur Golconda Express will arrive/depart Moula Ali at 13 13 / 13 14 hrs.

Accordingly in the return direction, Train No. 17201 Guntur-Secunderabad Golconda Express will arrive/depart Moula Ali at 12 38 / 12 39 hrs.

Machilipatnam-Yesvantpur Express named as KONDAVEEDU EXPRESS


Train No. 17211 / 17212 Machilipatnam – Yesvantpur - Machilipatnam Express is named as KONDAVEEDU EXPRESS with immediate effect. Hence forth, the nomenclature of this Train will be “Machilipatnam-Yesvantpur-Machilipatnam” KONDAVEEDU EXPRESS”

Two Special Trains between Hyderabad and Allahabad


In order to clear extra rush of passengers during Maha Kumbh mela at Allahabad, South Central Railway will run two special trains between Hyderabad-Allahabad as per the following schedule:-

Train No. 07091 Hyderabad - Allahabad Special trainwill depart Hyderabad at10 30 hrs o­n 09th March, 2013 (Saturday) and arrive Allahabad at 13 30 hrs o­n the next day.

In the return direction, Train No. 07092 Allahabad-Hyderabad Special train will depart Allahabad at 17 45 hrs o­n 10th March, 2013 (Sunday) and arrive Hyderabad at 22 45 hrs o­n the next day.

  Enroute, the special train will stop at Secunderabad, Jangaon, Kazipet, Jammikunta, Pedapalli, Ramagundam, Manchiryal, Bellampalli, Sirpur Kagaznagar, Balharshah, Nagpur, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna and Manikpur stations.

These special trains will comprise of o­ne First AC, two First AC cum II tier AC, o­neII tier AC, o­ne III tier AC, twelve Sleeper Class, two General Second Class and two Luggage cum Brake van coaches totaling to twenty o­ne coaches.

Introduction of New Bi-weekly Express between Pune and Amravati


Railways will introduce a new Bi-weekly Express train between Pune and Amravati with effect from 3.3.2013.  The details are as under:


11405 Express will leave Pune at 22.00 hrs o­n every Sunday and Friday from 3.3.2013 and will arrive Amravati at 15.00 hrs next day.


11406 Express will leave Amravati at 18.30 hrs o­n every Monday and Saturday from 4.3.2013 and will arrive Pune at 13.15 hrs next day.


Halts: Uruli, Daund, Jeur, Kurduwadi, Barsi Town, Usmanabad, Latur, Latur Road, Parli Vaijnath, Parbhani, Purna, Hingoli, Washim, Akola, Murtijapur and Badnera.


Composition: 5 Sleeper Class, o­ne AC-2 Tier, o­ne AC-3 Tier, 6 General Second Class, 2 General Second Class cum Guard’s Brake Vans.


RESERVATION: Bookings open from 1.3.2013

Highlights of Railway Budget 2013-14
