TEMPORARY AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS

To clear extra rush of passengers during summer season-2012, Railways have decided to augment the train no. 11123/11124 Gwalior- Barauni Express and 11107/11108 Gwalior- Varanasi Express trains on temporary measures as per the following programme: 


The train no. 11123/11124 Gwalior- Barauni express train has been augmented by Two additional General Sleeper class coaches upto 30.6.2012 from Gwalior and upto 1.7.2012 from Barauni with immediate effect.


The train no. 11107/11108 Gwalior- Varanasi express train has been augmented by Two additional General Sleeper class coaches upto 30.6.2012 from Gwalior and upto 1.7.2012 from Varanasi with immediate effect.

Ahmedabad-Mumbai Duranto Express to run daily

Ministry of Railways have decided to increase the frequency of 12268/12267 Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Duranto Express from Tri-weekly to daily w.e.f. 26th April,2012 ex. Ahmedabad and w.e.f.27th April,2012ex Mumbai Central.





Train No. 12267 Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad Duranto Express departs from Mumbai Central at 23.25 hrs to arrive Ahmedabad at 06.00 hrs. Similarly, Train No.12268 Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Duranto Express leaves Ahmedabad at 23.45 hrs to reach Mumbai Central at 06.15 hrs, the next day. 

SPECIAL TRAIN

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during the forthcoming celebrations of 500 years of Jhira Pragat Samagam at Bidar from 25.04.2012 to 30.04.2012 .Northern Railway will run the following special trains no., 04610/04609 Amritsar-Bidar- Amritsar as per the programme:-

04610/04609 Amritsar-Bidar- Amritsar Special Train

04610 Amritsar-Bidar special Train will depart fromAmritsar at 02.50 p.m.on 23.04.2012, 27.04.2012 and 30.04.2012(3 trips)to arrive at Bidar Jn. at 08.30 a.m. the third day. In the return direction the 04609 Bidar- Amritsar special Train will depart from Bidar at 05.00 a.m. on 26.04.2012, 30.04.2012 and 03.05.2012(3 trips) to arrive at Amritsar at 00.15 a.m. (Mid Night)the third day.

Consisting of two ACThree Tier,11 Second class sleeper, 3 General Class &2 Luggage cum brake Van coaches, the 04610/04609 Amritsar-Bidar- Amritsar special Train will stop at Amritsar Jn, Jallandhar City, Ludhiana Jn, Sirhind Jn, Ambala Jn, Panipat Jn, New Delhi, Palwal, Agra Cantt, Jhansi Jn, Bina, Bhopal Jn, Itarsi Jn, Nagpur, Balharshah, Kazipet Jn, Secundrabad Jn, and Vikrabad stations enroute in both the directions.

The train no. 14018/14017 Delhi Jn.- Muzaffarpur Sadbhawan Express train will beaugmented by One additionalgeneral sleeper class coach on temporary basis from 25.4.2012 to 27.6.2012 from Delhi Jn. andfrom27.4.2012 to 29.6.2012 from Muzaffarpur.

The train no. 12450/12449 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Madgaon Goa Sampark Kranti Express train will beaugmented by One additionalA.C. 3 Tier coach on temporary basis from 23.4.2012 to 30.6.2012 from Hazrat Nizamuddinandfrom25.4.2012 to 3.7.2012 from Madgaon.

The train no. 14524/14523 Ambala Cantt.- Muzaffarpur Harihar Express train will beaugmented by One additional general sleeper class coach on temporary basis from 24.4.2012 to 30.6.2012 from Ambala Cantt. Faizabad and from 26.4.2012 to 2.7.2012 from Muzaffarpur.

STOPPAGE OF NEW DELHI-JABALPUR- EXPRESS AT DHAULPUR STATION

Railways have decided to provide a two minute stoppage to the train no. 12191/12192 New Delhi- Jabalpur-New Delhi Express train at “Dhaulpur” station with effect from 01.05.2012 on experimental basis for six months as per the following programme:
The 12191 New Delhi- Jabalpur Express train will arrive at Dhaulpur railway station at 05.52 p.m., while in the return direction, the 12192 Jabalpur- New Delhi Express train will arrive at Dhaulpur railway station at 06.16 a.m. and will have a stoppage of 2 minutes in both the directions.

CHANGE IN COMPOSITION OF TRAINS

T.No.16043/16044 Puducherry – Mangalore – Puducherry Weekly Expresses will be renumbered as T.No.16855/16856 and the composition changed as follows w.e.f. 17.8.2012 from Puducherry and 18.8.2012 from Mangalore.

Present composition: 1 First AC-cum-AC 2-tier, 2 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 12 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class and 2 Luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

Revised composition: 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 6 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class and 2 Luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS

            The following Express/Passenger trains will be permanently augmented as follows.

1)T.No.22601/22602 Chennai Central – Sainagar Shirdi – Chennai Central Weekly Expresses will be augmented with 1 AC 3-tier and 1 Sleeper Class coaches w.e.f. 9.5.2012 from Chennai and 11.5.2012 from Sainagar Shirdi.

2)T.No.56640/56641 Mangalore – Verna – Mangalore Passengers will be augmented with6 Second Class Sitting coaches w.e.f. 30.4.2012 from Mangalore and Verna.

AUGMENTATION OF NILGIRI EXPRESS

In order to clear the high waitlist position during the ensuing summer season, T.No.12671/12672 Chennai Central – Mettupalayam – Chennai Central Nilgiri Expresses will be augmented with one First AC cum AC 2-tier coach w.e.f. from 25.4.2012 from Chennai and 26.4.2012 from Mettupalayam for a period of one month upto 24.5.2012 in either direction.10 First AC and 20 AC 2-tier berths will be available due to this augmentation.

Augmention by one1st class AC coach in 22201/22202

Special trains

South Western Railway has decided to run one-way air-conditioned special train between Yeshwanthpur and Secunderabad (Train No 06545) on April 21 and one-way air-conditioned special train betweenYeshwanthpur and Chennai (Train No 06546) on April 22.

Train No. 06545 will leave Yeshwanthpur at 8.50 p.m. on Saturday and reach Secunderabad at 8.35 a.m. the next day.

Train No. 06546 will leave Yeshwanthpur at 11.55 p.m. on Sunday and reach Chennai at 9.30 a.m. the next day.

INDUCTION OF LHB COACHES IN H.NIZAMUDDIN- BANGALORE RAJDHANI EXPRESS

For the convenience of the rail passengers, German made state-of-the-art LHB coaches will be inducted in train no. 12494/12493 H.Nizamuddin- Bangalore Rajdhani Express train from 20.4.2012 from Bangalore.

Kacheguda-Nizamabad Passenger to stop at Srinivasnagar

South Central Railwaywill provide one minute stoppageon a temporary basis for Train No. 77685/77688Nizamabad-Kacheguda-NizamabadDEMU Passenger train at Srinivasnagar with effect from 20^th April, 2012.

Accordingly, Train No.77685 Nizamabad- Kacheguda DEMU Passenger train will arrive at Srinivasanagar Halt stationon all daysat 07.04anddepart at07.05 hrs. In the return direction Train No.77688 Kacheguda-Nizamabad DEMU Passenger train will arrive at Srinivasanagar Halt station at 19.59 hrsand depart at 20.00 hrs. 

SPECIAL BETWEEN PURI & ROURKELA

In view to clear wait listed passengers in regular trains towards Rourkela and to provide better passenger comforts to the commuters, especially to the students who are going to appear examination, East Coast Railway has decided to run o­ne pair of Examination special train between Puri & Rourkela.

08446/08445 Puri-Rourkela-Puri Examination special train will leave Puri at 05.25hrson 28th April 2012 (Saturday) and will arrive at Rourkela at 15.30hrs o­n the same day. In the return direction, this train will leave Rourkela at 21.45hrs o­n 29th April 2012 (Sunday) and will arrive at Puri at 09.35hrs o­n the following day.

          This train will stop at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Talcher Road, Angul, Boinda, Rairakhol, Sambalpur City and Jharsuguda between Puri & Rourkela having One AC-2 tier, One AC-3 tier, Eight Sleeper Class, Three General Second Classand Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition.

Narrow gauge trains to Chhindwara curtailed

In view of the work on converting narrow gauge (NG) railway line into broad gauge, South East Central Railway (SECR) has decided to operate narrow gauge trains till Saunsar only. In a release, senior divisional commercial manager (SrDCM) Pradeep Kumar said the curtailed schedule of trains will be effective from April 20 and will be in force for two months. The SECR is taking up construction of a tunnel in 69km Chhindwara and Saunsar section so NG trains from Nagpur will operate till Saunsar and return. Accordingly, SECR has rescheduled trains. 

SUMMER SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN METTUPALAYAM AND COONOOR

The following special trains will be run between Mettupalayam and Coonoor to clear the extra rush of passengers.

 T.No.06135 Mettupalayam – Coonoor Special will leave Mettupalayam at09.00 hrs. on Saturdays and Sundays from 21.4.2012 to 10.6.2012 and arrive Coonoor at 12.20 hrs. the same day. T.No.06136 Coonoor – Mettupalayam Special will leave Coonoor at 13.30 hrs. on Saturdays and Sundays from 21.4.2012 to 10.6.2012 and arrive Mettupalayam at 15.50 hrs. the same day.The composition of the trains will be1 First Class Sitting, 1 Second Class Sitting/General Second Class and 1 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

 Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on 20.4.2012.

NEW DELHI- DIBRUGARH RAJDHANI EXPRESS TO RUN DAILY

For the convenience of the rail passengers, frequency of the 12424/12423 New Delhi- Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express train will be increased from five days a week to run daily from 22.4.2012 from New Delhi.
