South Central Railway will run ‘Premium’ Special trains between Secunderabad and New Delhi in order to clear extra rush of passengers during the summer season. These Premium special trains are the second such service on SCR, the first being the Premium special trains between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam announced earlier.
Accordingly, Premium Special from Secunderabad to New Delhi (Train No. 02723) will depart Secunderabad on 25thApril 2014 at 10:10 hrs and arrive New Delhi at 13:10 hrs on the next day.
In the return direction, the Premium Special from New Delhi to Secunderabad (Train No. 02724) will depart New Delhi on 26th April 2014 at 19:05 hrs and arrive Secunderabad at 22:05 hrs on the next day.
These trains will have only five stoppages Enroute in both the directions – Ramagundam, Nagpur, Bhopal, Jhansi and Agra. The train consists of 15 coaches viz., one AC II Tier, three AC III Tier, eight Sleeper Class, two Luggage cum Brake Van and one Pantry Car.
The fare structure for this Premium Special Train is variable and follows a dynamic pricing model. The fare will also include catering charges. Reservations, available only through IRCTC’s portal on internet will commence from 08:00 hrs of 13th April 2014 (Sunday).
‘Premium’ special train is a reserved service aimed to meet the heavy demand for Rail travel during busy season on popular routes. It is primarily targeted at that segment of passengers, who are willing to pay premium fare for confirmed berths at the time of booking itself availing enhanced standards of service.
The Unique features of ‘Premium’ train service are:
1) No waitlisted tickets shall be issued. There will be no refund except when the train is fully cancelled on railway account due to unforeseen circumstances. Adult fare shall be charged for all passengers irrespective of their age. No concession shall be applicable to this train. Ticket modifications/issue of duplicate ticket etc. is not permitted.
2) The booking of tickets can be done only through IRCTC’s portal on internet. Tickets will not be issued manually at reservation counters. However, vacant berths available after charting will be offered at current day booking counters at the train originating stations.
