WR INTRODUCES CATERING COMPLAINT

For the convenience of rail users to register their complaints regarding catering services like food quality, over charging etc. both at railway stations and in running trains, Western Railway has introduce a unique Catering Complaint No.9004441955. Rail users can call or can send SMS o­n this number. Passengers can also send catering related complaints at Western Railway's email ID cateringcomplaint@wr.railnet.gov.in . Besides, the Ministry of Railways has also set up a Central Monitoring Cell with the toll free number i.e. 1800-111-321 to register catering related complaint. This facility is available all seven days from (7.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs). Rail users can also register their complaints in Complaint books available with Station Masters, Catering stalls and Pantry Car Managers.



The Catering complaint number has been set up by the Western Railway for providing proactive and effective complaint redressal mechanism.



In order to publicize this number widely, Western Railway is going to put up posters at prominent locations at stations and reservation offices along with stickers in trains. It is also planned to publish this number at the back of the reserved tickets. It will not o­nly help to redress the Catering Complaints quickly but also to improve quality of service.

SCR Operationalises Catering Complaint

South Central Railway has operationalised Catering Complaint Monitoring Cell (CCMC) at Head Quarters level with round the clock working and provided with Toll Free Nos. 1800-425-5090, 9701370964 (Mobile) ; No. 040- 27834044 (BSNL) and E-Mail:- www.scrccmc@gmail.com.
Passengers can register their complaints / suggestions related to catering services rendered by Mobile / Static Catering Units over South Central Railway jurisdiction.

Fare of Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Duronto Express Does not Include Catering Charges

Train No. 22204 Secunderabad-Vishakapatnam Duronto Tri-weekly Express departs  Secunderabad at 20 30 hrs and arrives Vishakapatnam at 06 05 hrs o­n the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 22203 Visakapatnam- Secunderabad Duronto  Tri-weekly Express departs Visakhapatnam at 22 30 hrs and arrives Secunderabad at 08 00 hrs o­n the next day.

Passengers are requested to note that these are overnight convenient services with nine hours travel time o­nly and the timings are not covering meals time in general, Pantry Car / catring services are not available. Accordingly, the fare structure of these Duronto Expresses does not include any catering charge.

DISPLAY OF PRICE LIST MADE MANDATORY AT CATERING UNITS

Following complaints from the travelling public regarding overcharging by some of the catering contractors at stations and on trains, Southern Railway has made it mandatory for the contractors to display the price list of the standard food items(indicatingthe tariff authorised by the Railway) at all the stalls including the pantry cars of the trains. Rail users are requested to make all payments as per the tariff displayed and MRP printed on the packaged items. In the event of overcharging, passengers may register/forward their complaints to the concerned Station Manager/Divisional Commercial Officers.
