Railways have decided to run two special trains - one from Velankani to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and one from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus to Chennai Central to clear the extra rush of passengers due to Velankani Festival. The details of service as under –
VELANKANNI-MUMBAI
06802 special train will leave Velankani at 20.30 hrs on Saturday 8.9.2012 and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 12.15 hrs on Monday.
Halts: Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Mayiladuthurai, Sirkazhi, Chidambaram, Tirupadaripulliyur, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Katpadi, Tiruttani, Puttur, Renigunta, Koduru, Razampet, Cuddappah, Yerraguntala, Tadipatri, Gooty, Guntakal, Adoni, Mantralayam Road, Wadi, Gulbarga, Solapur, Daund, Pune, Kalyan and Dadar Stations.
MUMBAI-CHENNAI CENTRAL
06801 special train will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 13.30 hrs on Monday 10.9.2012 and will reach Chennai Central at 20.55 hrs on Tuesday.
Halts: Dadar, Kalyan, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Gulbarga, Wadi, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Adoni, Guntakal, Tadipatri, Yerraguantala, Cuddappah, Razampet, Renigunta, Puttur, Tirutani, Aarakonam and Perambur Stations.
Composition: Both these special trains will have Two AC 3-Tier, 6 Sleeper class, 6 General second class and 2 General second class cum guard’s brake vans.
Reservation: Bookings for 06801 will open from 07.09.2012.
