Withdrawal of Pantry Car

DISPLAY OF PRICE LIST MADE MANDATORY AT CATERING UNITS

Following complaints from the travelling public regarding overcharging by some of the catering contractors at stations and on trains, Southern Railway has made it mandatory for the contractors to display the price list of the standard food items(indicatingthe tariff authorised by the Railway) at all the stalls including the pantry cars of the trains. Rail users are requested to make all payments as per the tariff displayed and MRP printed on the packaged items. In the event of overcharging, passengers may register/forward their complaints to the concerned Station Manager/Divisional Commercial Officers.

Pantry Car Service to be temporarily discontinued by Secunderabad – Rajkot – Secunderabad Express

In view of the expiry of the Pantry car contract license of Train no. 17018/17017 , Secunderabad – Rajkot – Secunderabad Express and awaiting the finalization of the new contract for the same, Pantry Car Service by these trains will be temporarily discontinued in both the directions, effective from 20th February 2012 Ex. Secunderabad and from 21stFebruary 2012 Ex. Rajkot.

TEMPORARY RESTORATION OF PANTRY CAR SERVICES

Railways have decided to temporarily restore the Pantry Car service to 12873/12874 & 12817/12818 Hatia- Anand Vihar Terminus Jharkhand S.J. Express trains with immediate effect upto 12th September 2011.

WITHDRAWAL OF PANTRY CAR SERVICES

Due to operational reasons Railways have decided to withdraw the Pantry Car service from 12873/12874 & 12817/12818 Hatia- Anand Vihar Terminus Jharkhand S.J. Express trains with immediate effect.
