22207 / 22208 WITH ADDITIONAL STOPPAGES AND CHANGE IN DAYS OF SERVICE
At present, Train No.22207 Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram bi-weekly superfast AC express leaves Chennai Central at 16.30 hrs. on Tuesdays and Fridays and reaches Thiruvananthapuram at 05.45 hrs. the next day with stoppages at Ernakulam, Alappuzha and Kollam.
Train No.22208 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central bi-weekly superfast AC express leaves Thiruvananthapuram at 21.30 hrs. on Wednesdays and Saturdays and reaches Chennai Central Thiruvananthapuram at 10.35 hrs. the next day with stoppages at Kollam, Alappuzha and Ernakulam.
Railway Board has approved re-routing of Train No. 22207 / 22208 Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central bi-weekly superfast AC express trains via Coimbatore with additional stoppages at Salem, Coimbatore, Palakkad and Thrissur.There is also a change in the days of service of Train No.22208 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central bi-weekly superfast AC express from Saturday to Sunday.
Accordingly, the revised schedule of the trains is as given below:

REVISION IN COMPOSITION OF TRAIN NO.12243/12244 CHENNAI CENTRAL – COIMBATORE – CHENNAI CENTRAL SHATABDI EXPRESS
The composition of Train No.12243/12244 Chennai Central – Coimbatore – Chennai Central Shatabdi express trains will be revised with effect from 01.11.2014. This revision will be done as the existing coaches will be replaced by high capacity LHB coaches.
Consequent to the replacement of coaches, passengers who are booked in C-9 and C-10 coaches from 01.11.2014 to 09.11.2014 will be re-allotted at the time of charting.
Hence, passengers who are booked in C-9 and C-10 coaches are requested to verify their coach and seat number on the date of journey from the reservation centres or from the reservation charts.
Consequent to the replacement of coaches, passengers who are booked in C-9 and C-10 coaches from 01.11.2014 to 09.11.2014 will be re-allotted at the time of charting.

CHANGES IN PATTERN OF TRAIN SERVICES IN CHENNAI SUBURBAN TRAINS
To facilitate engineering works at Arakkonam railway station, changes were made in the pattern of some suburban train services in Chennai – Arakkonam section for 28 days from 11.08.2014. The changes were extended further for a period of 15 days from 09.09.2014. Now, it is stated that the changes will continue until further advice. The changes are as given below.

EMU SPECIAL TRAINS MADE PERMANENT
As stated in press release no.87/2014-15 dated 08.08.2014, some suburban train services were extended / introduced as special trains for a period of one month with effect from 11.08.2014. Those special suburban trains have been made permanent and will run permanently. Details of those trains are given below.
1. Train No.43247 MMC – Tiruvallur EMU local leaving MMC at 19.30 hrs. was extended to run upto Arakkonam as a fast local, reaching Arakkonam at 21.10 hrs. This train stops at Basin Bridge Jn., Perambur, Villivakkam, Ambattur, Thiruninravur, Tiruvallur, Kadambattur & Thiruvalangadu.
2. Train No.43607 Chennai Beach – Avadi EMU local leaving Chennai Beach at 19.10 hrs. was extended to run upto Tiruvallur, reaching Tiruvallur at 20.35 hrs.
