To facilitate the speedy completion of the above work and to reduce the delay of running of trains, the diversion of train services will be extended up to 11th March, 2011 as per the details given below.
Trains starting from Trivandrum Central scheduled to run via Kottayam and Ernakulam Town towards Ernakulam from the AFTERNOON OF 4-3-11(TO-DAY) will be DIVERTED to run via Kayankulam,Alappuzha and Ernakulam Junction .Similarly in the down direction towards Trivandrum the DIVERSION will commence from to-day afternoon.
(I)All trains in the UP direction towards Ernakulam area scheduled to run via Kayankulam-Kottayam-Ernakulam Town will be DIVERTED via Kayankulam-Alappuzha-Ernakulam Junction section and will be provided stoppages at Haripad,Ampalapuzha,Alappuzha,Cherthala and Ernakulam Jn.
(ii)All trains the DOWN direction towards Trivandrum scheduled to run via Ernakulam Junction –Alappuzha-Kayankulam will be DIVERTED viaErnakulam Town- Kottayam- Kayankulam section and will be provided stoppages at Kottayam,Changanasseri,Tiruvalla and Chengannur except Train No 12432 Nizamuddin-Trivandrum Rajdhani Exp
SPECIAL TRAIN FOR MORNING COMMUTERS
In order to facilitate the needs of the morning commuters from Chengannur to Ernakulam Junction, a PASSENGER SPECIAL TRAIN will be operated from Chengannur to Ernakulam Jn from 5th to 11th March, 2011 to the timing and stoppage of Train No 16302(VENAD EXP) .The special will leave Chengannur at 07.35 hrs and will reach Ernakulam at 09.45 hrs to open timings.
