For the convenience of pilgrims and passengers and to cater to extra rush of passengers during Rath Yatra Festival at Puri, East Coast Railway has decided to run 59 special trains from different parts of Orissa, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh excluding the existing trains coming to Puri. Special trains will also run to and from Puri to clear extra rush on the occasion of Sandhya Darshan, Bahuda Yatra and Sunabesa. Apart from this, Six trains will be rescheduled and one pair train will be extended to Puri instead of its destination stations.
Trains from Sambalpur:
One passenger special train will leave Sambalpur at 19.00hrs on 2nd July 2011 and will arrive Puri at 03.55hrs on 3rd July 2011 i.e. on Rath Yatra Day. In the return direction this passenger special train will leave Puri at 23.45hrs on 3rd July 2011 i.e. on Rath Yatra Day and will arrive Sambalpur at 08.45hrs on the following day.
Trains from Kendujhargarh:
One passenger special train will leave Kendujhargarh at 19.00hrs on 2nd July and will arrive Puri at 06.00hrs on 3rd July 2011 i.e. on Rath Yatra Day.
Trains from Baripada:
One passenger special train will leave Baripada at 05.00hrs. on 3rd July 2011 i.e. on Rath Yatra Day and will arrive Puri at 13.45 hrs. In the return direction, this passenger special train will leave Puri at 16.30 hrs on 3rd July 2011 i.e. on Rath Yatra day and will arrive Baripada at 23.15 hrs on the same day.
Trains from Brahmapur:
One passenger special train will leave Brahmapur at 07.30hrs. on 3rd July 2011 i.e. on Rath Yatra day and will arrive Puri at 12.45 hrs.
Trains from Bhadrak:
One passenger special train will leave Bhadrak at 06.15 hrs on 3rd July 2011 i.e. on Rath Yatra day and will arrive Puri at 12.25 hrs. In the return direction, this passenger special train will leave Puri at 17.00 hrs on 3rd July 2011 i.e. on Rath Yatra day and will arrive Bhadrak at 22.45 hrs on the same day.
Trains from Parlakhemundi:
One passenger special train will leave Paralakhemundi at 04.00hrs on the 3rd July 2011 i.e. on Rath Yatra day and will arrive Puri at 16.00hrs on the same day.
Trains from Paradeep:
One passenger special train will leave Paradeep at 04.00 hrs on 3rd July 2011 i.e. on the Rath Yatra day and will arrive Puri at 10.20hrs on the same day. In the return direction, this passenger special train will leave Puri at 21.25hrs on 3rd July 2011 i.e. on Rath Yatra day and will arrive Paradeep at 03.00hrs. Similarly another special train will leave Puri at 00.30hrs (Mid Night) on the Rath Yatra day i.e. on 4th July 2011 and will arrive Paradeep at 08.00hrs on the next morning.
Trains from West Bengal (KHARAGPUR):
One fast passenger special train will leave Kharagpur on 2nd July towards Puri. This special train will leave Kharagpur at 18.45hrs on 2nd July and will arrive Puri at 04.50 hrs on the Rath Yatra Day. In the return direction, this Passenger Special will leave Puri at 23.30hrs on Rath Yatra day and will arrive Kharagpur at 09.30hrs on the following day.
Trains from Andhra Pradesh (VISAKHAPATNAM & PALASA):
One special train will leave Visakhapatnam on 2nd July towards Puri. This special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 18.00hrs on 2nd July and will arrive Puri at 07.35 hrs on the Rath Yatra Day. In the return direction, this Passenger Special will leave Puri at 23.15hrs on Rath Yatra day and will arrive Visakhapatnam at 09.30hrs on the following day.
Similarly, two passenger trains will leave Palasa on Rath Yatra Day towards Puri. The Palasa-Puri Special trains will leave Palasa at 04.25hrs, and 04.45hrs towards Puri and will arrive Puri at 10.35 hrs & 13.00hrs respectively. In the return direction one special train towards Palasa will leave Puri at 17.00hrs and will arrive Palasa at 00.20hrs (Mid Night). The another special train from Puri will leave at 20.20hrs on RathYatra Day and will arrive Palasa at 02.30hrs in the night.
Specials Trains from Cuttack & Khurda Road:
One passenger special train will leave Cuttack at 06.15 hrs on the Rath Yatra day and will arrive Puri at 09.55hrs. In the return direction this passenger special train will leave Puri at 01.30hrs (Mid Night) on Rath Yatra Day and will arrive Cuttack at 04.45hrs.
Similarly one passenger trains will leave Khurda Road at 06.30hrs and will arrive Puri at 08.00hrs. In return direction , passenger specials will leave Puri at 15.30hrs & 14.05hrs and will arrive Khurda Road at 17.05hrs and 15.55hrs respectively.
One passenger special train will also leave Puri at 01.00hrs on the mid night of Rath Yatra Day and will arrive Bhubaneswar at 03.05hrs in the night.
Similarly, 06 Special Trains for Sandhya Darshan, 14 Special Trains for Bahuda and 11 Special Trains for Sunavesa will run to and from Puri. Keeping in view the above arrangements, ECoR has decided to extend Baripada-Bhubaneswar Express to Puri and vice versa.
In view of the above arrangements, this railway has decided to cancel 58415/58416 Cuttack-Puri-Cuttack passenger, 78407/78408 Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak passenger, 78411/78412 Khurda Road-Khalikote-Khurda Road passenger, 78501/78502 Palasa-Cuttack-Palasa passenger, 78507/78508 Cuttack-Paradeep-Cuttack passenger, 78419/78420 Palasa-Bhubaneswar-Palasa passenger, 58409/58410 Puri-Khurda Road-Puri passenger, 58435/58436 Cuttack-Bhadrak-Cuttack passenger, 58434 Brahmapur-Cuttack passenger and 58418 Paralakhemundi-Puri passenger on Rath Yatra day.
Similarly, 78407/78408 Bhadrak-Bhubaneswar-Bhadrak passenger, 78411/78412 Khurda Road-Khalikote-Khurda Road passenger, 78419/78420 Palasa-Bhubaneswar-Palasa passenger, 58028/58027 Khurda Road-Bhubaneswar-Khurda Road passenger, 58408 Puri-Khurda Road passenger and 58410 Puri-Khurda Road passenger will be cancelled on Baudha Yatra i.e. on 11th July 2011.
On the day of Sandhya Darshan58409/58410Khurda Road-Puri-Khurda Road passenger will be cancelled for special train arrangements on Sandhya Darshan Day i.e. on 12th July 2011.
