The following special trains will be run to clear the extra rush of passengers during Ramzan, Vinayaga Chathurthi & Onam Festival seasons.
1) Chennai Central – Mangalore – Chennai Central Superfast Specials: T.No.06071 Chennai Central – Mangalore Central Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 22.30 hrs. on 28.08.2011 and arrive Mangalore Central at14.00 hrs. the next day. T.No.06072 Mangalore Central – Chennai Central Superfast Special will leave Mangalore Central at 19.20 hrs. on 29.08.2011 and arrive Chennai Central at 11.15 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 First AC-cum-AC 2-tier, 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 7 Sleeper Class, 3 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod. T.No.06072 will stop at Perambur also.
2) Chennai Central – Mangalore – Chennai Central Superfast Specials (Via Coimbatore):T.No.06073 Chennai Central – Mangalore Central Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 20.45 hrs. on 02.09.2011 and arrive Mangalore Central at13.00 hrs. the next day.T.No.06074 Mangalore Central – Chennai Central Superfast Special will leave Mangalore Central at 11.45 hrs. on 04.09.2011 and arrive Chennai Central at 03.45 hrs. the next day.The composition of the trains will be 1 First AC-cum-AC 2-tier, 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 7 Sleeper Class, 3 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod. 4) Chennai Central – Madurai – Chennai Central Specials (via. Chennai Egmore, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli): T.No.06077 Chennai Central – Madurai Special will leave Chennai Central at 17.40 hrs. on 30.08.2011 and arrive Madurai at 03.45 hrs. the next day.T.No.06078 Madurai – Chennai Central Special will leave Madurai at 18.00 hrs. on 31.8.2011 and arrive Chennai Central at 04.45 hrs. the next day.The composition of the trains will be 1 First AC-cum-AC 2-tier, 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 7 Sleeper Class, 3 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.The trains will stop at Chennai Egmore, Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Vriddhachalam, Tiruchchirappalli and Dindigul. 5) Chennai Central – Kollam Superfast Special (via. Podanur) & Kollam – Chennai Central Special (via. Coimbatore): T.No.06079 Chennai Central – Kollam Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 20.00 hrs. on 08.09.2011 and arrive Kollam at10.45 hrs. the next day.T.No.06080 Kollam – Chennai Central Special will leave Kollam at 13.50 hrs. on 09.09.2011 and arrive Chennai Central at 06.45 hrs. the next day.The composition of the trains will be 1 First AC-cum-AC 2-tier, 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 7 Sleeper Class, 3 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.The trains will stop at Katpadi, Salem, Erode, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam.
