ADDITIONAL SPECIAL TRAINS FOR PONGAL FESTIVAL

The following additional special trains will be run to clear the extra rush of passengers during Pongal Festival.

1)       Chennai Central – Coimbatore – Chennai Central Superfast Garib Rath Specials:T.No.06025 Chennai Central – Coimbatore Superfast Garib Rath Special will leave Chennai Central at 22.30 hrs. on 12.1.2012 and arrive Coimbatore at 06.50 hrs. the next day.T.No.06026 Coimbatore – Chennai Central Superfast Garib Rath Special will leave Coimbatore at 08.45 hrs. on 13.1.2012 and arrive Chennai Central at 17.00 hrs. the same day. The composition of the trains will be 14 AC 3-tier coaches.The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur. T.No.06025 will stop at Coimbatore North also. T.No.06026 will stop at Perambur also.

2)       Chennai Egmore – Nagercoil – Chennai Egmore Specials (via. Perambur, Erode, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai) without touching Chennai Central: T.No.06027 Chennai Egmore – Nagercoil Special will leave Chennai Egmore at 14.40 hrs. on 13.1.2012 and arrive Nagercoil at 05.30 hrs. the next day.T.No.06028 Nagercoil – Chennai Egmore Special will leave Nagercoil at 17.05 hrs. on 17.1.2012 and arrive Chennai Egmore at 08.30 hrs. the next day.The composition of the trains will be 5 Second Class Sitting, 16 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Gudiyattam, Ambur, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Karur, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Road, Madurai, Virudunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Tirunelveli and Valliyur. T.No.06028 will stop at Perambur also.

3)       Nagercoil – Chennai Egmore – Nagercoil Specials (via. Madurai, Dindigul, Karur, Erode, Perambur) without touching Chennai Central: T.No.06308 Nagercoil – Chennai Egmore Special will leave Nagercoil at 22.30 hrs. on 11.1.2012 and arrive Chennai Egmore at 12.45 hrs. the next day.T.No.06307 Chennai Egmore – Nagercoil Special will leave Chennai Egmore at 20.00 hrs. on 12.1.2012 and arrive Nagercoil at 11.00 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier,7 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Valliyur, Tirunelveli, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudunagar, Madurai, Kodaikanal Road, Dindigul, Karur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Ambur, Gudiyattam, Katpadi and Arakkonam. T.No.06308 will stop at Perambur also.

Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on 11.1.2012.
