Train no. 22133/22134 Solapur-Yeshwantpur Express has permanently been augmented with one additional 3-tier AC coach and one second class sleeper coach by the Central Railway.
A release from South Western Railway (SWR) here said the train now runs with total 20 coaches: one 2-tier AC coach, two 3-tier AC coaches, eight second class sleeper coaches, six general second class coaches and two second class luggage-cum-brake vans.
Meanwhile, SWR has decided to add one each 3-tier AC coach and second class sleeper coach permanently to train no. 12295/96 Bangalore City-Patna-Bangalore City Sangamitra Express, with effect from July 1 from Bangalore and July 3 from Patna. The train will have total 23 coaches: three 2-tier AC coaches, three 3-tier AC coaches, 11 second class sleeper coaches, three general class coaches, two second class luggage-cum-brake vans and a pantry car.
The zone has also decided to continue temporary augmentation of two additional general second class (sitting) chair cars on Train No. 12079/80 Bangalore City-Hubli-Bangalore City Jan Shatabdi Express for a period of six months from July 1.
The Yeshwantpur-Gorakhpur-Yeshwantpur Weekly Special (Train No. 06527/28), which had 19 general second class coaches and two second class luggage-cum-brake vans would have one 2-tier AC coach, one 3-tier AC coach, two second class sleeper coaches, 15 general second class coaches, two second class luggage-cum-brake vans with immediate effect.
Frequency increased
The Southern Railway will now run train no. 16316/17 Kochuveli-Bangalore City-Kochuveli Tri-weekly express on six days a week from July 1.
Kochuveli-Bangalore City Express would arrive at Bangarpet at 6.43 a.m.; Krishnarajapuram at 7.43 a.m. and Bangalore Cantonment at 8.03 a.m. Bangalore City-Kochuveli Express would arrive at Cantonment at 5.25 p.m.; Krishnarajapuram at 5.38 p.m. and Bangarpet at 6.28 p.m.
The train would eventually become a daily service from September 4 from Kochuveli and September 5 from Bangalore. Consequently, services of Train No. 16322/16321 Trivandrum-Bangalore City-Trivandrum weekly special would be cancelled from September 4 from Trivandrum and from September 5 from Bangalore.
