Northern Railway today held the 118th Meeting of Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee at Vigyan Bhawan , Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi. The Meeting was presided over by Sh. S.K.Budhlakoti , General Manager,Northern Railway. Sh. Keshav Chandra Addl.General Manager ,Northern Railway, Principal Head Officers & Members of the Committee were present on the occasion.
On this Occasion Sh. S.K.Budhlakoti stated that this Rail Users Meeting has always been one of the most effective sources for the Railway to obtain the feed back on the essential needs of the travelling public. He also added that the Railway would continue to provide greater amenities to the travelling public through effective system improvements & through greater drives to bring in customer-friendly facilities in all areas of the public interface. He also shared the achievements of Northern Railway in the past with gathering.
The Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee is a forum comprising both nominated and elected members.
Members of this Committee representing various interests are nominated from the Central & State Govt.,District Levels and Rail Customers from various departments of the economy. Members from the elected bodies of several recognized Railway Users Welfare Organizations are also part of the Committee. The meeting today was attended by 37 members of the ZRUCC and suggestions were made by them regarding various issues related to passengers amenities ,stoppage of trains and improvement in services.

SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN NEW DELHI JHANSI SHATABDI (WEEKLY)
In order to clear extra rush of rail passengers, Northern Railway have decided to run of special train nos. 2002B/2001B between New Delhi-Jhansi-shatabdi special(Weekly) from 11.7.10 as per the following programme:-

Train No.0287 Bikaner - Dadar Superfast Special will leave from Bikaner on 19th & 26th July 2010 at 14.45 hrs to arrive Dadar at 12.50 hrs the next day. REGULATION AND SHORT TERMINATION OF TRAINS DUE TO MAOIST BANDH
In view of Bandh called by Maoist on 7th and 8th July 2010, Railways have canceled and short terminated some of the trains in East Coast Railway’s jurisdiction.
SHORT TERMINATION
8447 Bhubaneswar-Koraput Hirakhand Express left Bhubaneswar on 6th July will go to Koraput, but in return this train will back to Rayagada as empty rake in convenient time. This train will not take any passenger from Koraput to Rayagada. 8448 Koraput-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express scheduled to leave Koraput on 7th July will run from Rayagada to Bhubaneswar and will be cancelled between Rayagada and Koraput.
8447/8448 Bhubaneswar-Koraput-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express leaving Bhubaneswar on 7th July will be short-terminated at Rayagada and will be cancelled between Rayagada and Koraput on 8th July 2010.
8005/8006 Howrah-Koraput-Howrah Samaleswari Express leaving Howrah on 6th and 7th July 2010 and arriving Rayagada on 7th and 8th July will be short terminated at Rayagada. This train will return back to Howrah on 8th and 9th July 2010.
The services of 8447/8448 Howrah-Koraput-Howrah Samaleswari Express will remain cancelled between Rayagada and Koraput.

To clear extra rush , special train 2216A/2215A between Bandra Terminus and Delhi (Delhi Sarai Rohilla) has been extended to run upto July, 2010.
2216A Bandra (T) Delhi Sarai Rohilla superfast special leaves Bandra (T) every Wednesday at 12.55 hrs to reach Delhi Sarai Rohilla at 12.10 hrs next day. This service will be available upto 28th July, 2010. In return direction, 2215A Delhi Sarai Rohilla Bandra (T) Superfast special leaves Delhi Sarai Rohilla every Tuesday at 09.25 hrs to arrive Bandra (T) at 08.05 hrs next day. This service will be available upto 27th July, 2010.

In order to clear the extra rush of passenger traffic, South Central Railway will run 16 special trains before Nanded - Pandharpur - Nanded as per the following schedule:
Train No. 0737 Nandad - Pandharpur Special train (8 services) will depart Nanded on 7th 16th 18th 20th 22nd, 24th, 26th & 28th July 2010 at 21.30 hrs. and arrive Pandharpur at 08.00 hours the next day.
In the return direction, Train No.0738 Pandharpur - Nanded Special train (8 services) will depart Pandharpur on 8th, 17th, 19th 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th & 29th July 2010 at 21.15 hrs., and arrive Nanded at 09.00 hrs., the next day.

SCR TO RUN 32 SPECIAL TRAINS
In Order to clear the extra rush of passengers, South Central Railway will run 32 Special trains between Secunderabad-Guntur, Secunderabad-Mancheriyal and Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam from 2nd to 31st July, 2010, as per the following schedule :
Train No.0714A/0713A Secunderabad - Guntur - Secunderabad Special Trains (10 services)
Train No.0714A Secunderabad - Guntur Special train will depart Secunderabad on Fridays, i.e., 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th July, 2010 at 22.50 hrs. and arrive Guntur at 04.45 hrs. the next day.
In the return direction, Train No.0713A Guntur - Secunderabad Special train will depart Guntur on Saturdays, i.e., 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st July, 2010 at 22.00 hrs. and arrive Secunderabad at 04.00 hrs. the next day.
Enroute these Special train will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalguda, Nadikudi, Pidugurala and Sattenapalli in both the directions.
These Special trains will comprise of ten General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches totaling to twelve.
Train No.0752/0751 Secunderabad - Mancherial - Secunderabad Special Trains (18 services)
Train No.0752 Secunderabad - Mancherial Special train will depart Secunderabad on Tuesdays and Fridays, i.e., 2nd, 6th, 9th, 13th, 16th, 20th, 23rd, 27th and 30th July, 2010 at 05.30 hrs. and arrive Mancherial at 09.35hrs. the same day.
In the return direction, Train No.0751 Mancherial - Secunderabad Special train will depart Mancherial on Tuesdays and Fridays, i.e., 2nd, 6th, 9th, 13th, 16th, 20th, 23rd, 27th and 30th July, 2010 at 10.30 hrs. and arrive Secunderabad at 14.30 hrs. the same day.
Enroute these Special train also stop at Bhongir, Aler, Jangaon, Kazipet, Uppal, Jammikunta, Potkapalli, Odela, Kolanur, Peddapalli and Ramagundam in both the directions.

Train No. 0748 Hyderabad - Visakhapatnam Special train will depart Hyderabad on Fridays ie. 2nd and 9th July, 2010 at 19.30 hrs, arrive/depart Secunderabad at 19.50/20.00 hrs. and arrive Visakhapatnam at 08.30 hrs on the next day.
In the return direction, Train No.0747 Visakhapatnam - Hyderabad Special train will depart Visakhapatnam on Saturdays ie. 3rd and 10th July, 2010 at 19.10 hrs, arrive/depart Secunderabad at 08.15.08.25 hrs. and arrive Hyderabad at 08.50 hrs. on the next day.

ENHANCED TRAVEL FACILITY FOR PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PASSENGERS
Railways have introduced modifications in the passenger portion of Second Class-cum-Luggage Coaches (SLRD) for the benefit of physically challenged passengers. Subsequently to enable the physically challenged passengers to obtain advance reservation in the passenger portion of these coaches, the facility of advance reservation was given in the following seven long distance express trains on South Central Railway.

2. Train No.2728 Hyderabad - Visakhapatnam Godavari Express
3. Train No.2737 Kakinada - Secunderabad Gautami Express
4. Train No.2738 Secunderabad - Kakinada Gautami Express
5. Train No.2760 Hyderabad - Chennai Charminar Express
6. Train No.2797 Kacheguda - Chittoor Venkatadri Express
7. Train No.2798 Chittoor - Kacheguda Venkatadri Express
After introduction of the facility of advance reservation, representations have been received from physically handicapped passengers bringing out the difficulties faced by them at en-route stations, particularly when they undertake journeys by these seven trains as unreserved passengers.
Keeping in view of these representations, on a specific reference by South Central Railway, Railway Board have now revised the policy of reservation in passenger portion of SLRD coaches. With this change in policy, the passenger portion of SLRD coaches has been de-reserved in these seven long distance trains to enable the physically challenged passengers without advance reservation also to board these coaches not only at train originating station, but also at en-route stations. This facility of de-reservation will be available by the above seven trains with effect from 1st October, 2010. With this, the earlier facility of earmarking two berths
in sleeper class for physically challenged passengers will also be restored with effect from 1st October, 2010 by the above trains.

Adipooram Festival Stoppage at Melmaruvathur
Due to demands from rail users, passenger associations, pilgrims and elected representatives of the public the following trains will stop at Melmaruvathur for one minute from 10.08.2010 to 13.08.2010 to the following timings, in connection with ‘Adipooram Festival’ at Melmaruvathur.
