TEMPORARY AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS

For the convenience of rail passengers and to increase the passenger carrying capacity, Northern Railways have decided to augment the following trains on Temporary basis as per under mentioned programme:

SUMMER SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN SANTRAGACHI- ANAND VIHAR TERMINAL

For the convenience of rail passengers during the ensuing Summer season-2013, Railway has decided to run Special train no. 08033/08034 Santragachi- Anand Vihar Terminal- Santragachi (Weekly) as per thefollowing programme:-



The 08034 Anand Vihar Terminal- Santragachi (Weekly) Summer Special train will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal on every Tuesday from 09.04.13 to 25.06.13 (12 trips) at 01.30 p.m. to reach Santragachi at 08.30 p.m. the next day. In the return direction, the 08033 Santragachi- Anand Vihar Terminal (Weekly) Summer Special train will depart from Santragachi on every Monday from 08.04.13 to 24.06.13 (12 trips) at 08.45 a.m. to reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 11.50 a.m. the next day.



Consisting of One AC 2-tier, One AC 3-tier, Eight Sleeper Class, Five general class, Two Disabled Friendly Second Class cum luggage van coaches, the 08033/08034 Santragachi- Anand Vihar Terminal- Santragachi (Weekly)Summer Special train will stop atKharagpur, Tata Nagar, Purulia, Gomoh, Gaya, Mughalsarai, Allahabad & Kanpur Central stations enroute in both the directions.

Summer Holidays Special Train Between Mumbai Central-New Delhi

Train No.09003 Mumbai Central – New Delhi Bi-weekly superfast AC special will depart from Mumbai Central o­n every Tuesday & Saturday at 19.45 hrs to reach New Delhi at 17.35 hrs next day from 13th April to 29th June, 2013. In return direction, train No. 09004 New Delhi– Mumbai Central Bi-weekly superfast AC Special will depart from New Delhi o­n every Wednesday & Sunday at 23.40 hrs and will arrive Mumbai Central at 21.15 hrs the next day from 14th April to 30th June, 2013.

The train will have First AC, AC 2 Tier & AC 3 Tier coaches.



Enroute the train will halt at Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota , Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Bharatpur and Mathura Jn. in both directions.



Western Railway has already announced train No. 09005/09006 Mumbai Central- New Delhi Bi-weekly Superfast Summer special train which is run o­n every Sunday & Wednesday from 03rd April, 2013 to 26th June, 2013 Ex Mumbai Central.



The booking of train No. 09003 will open from Monday, 08th April, 2013.

MEMU train between Anand and Dakor

The Vadodara railway division has started MEMU trains between milk city Anand and temple town Dakor in Kheda district for convenience of passengers in the twin districts of central Gujarat.
The MEMU trains between Anand-Dakor-Anand which have been started from Monday will be run on experimental basis till May 31 this year. Dakor is famous for its Ranchhodraiji temple.

This MEMU trains that include train numbers (09123/09124) and (09125/09126) will halt at five stations.

While train number 09123 will depart from Anand railway station at 7.15am everyday and reach Dakor at 8.10am via Sadnapura, Bhalej, Ode and Umreth railway stations, the same train as train number 09124 will depart from Dakor at 8.30am to reach Anand railway station at 9.35am.

Similarly, train number 09125 will depart from Anand at 4.45pm to reach Dakor at 5.40pm. It will return as train number 09126 as it will depart from Dakor railway station at 5.55pm to reach Anand railway station at 6.50pm.

The following trains will be diverted via. Mayiladuthurai – Thiruvarur and will not touch Kumbakonam and Thanjavur.

Necessary arrangements for transportation by road will be made for the passengers bound for Kumbakonam & Thanjavur arriving by 16179 from 7.4.2013 to 9.4.2013 and for passengers leaving from Thanjavur and Kumbakonam by T.No.16180 o­n 7.4.2013 & 8.4.2013 due to diversion of the above trains.

Trains rescheduled

1)T.No.16701 Chennai Egmore – Rameswaram Express scheduled to leave Chennai Egmore at 21.40 hrs. 6.4.2013 is rescheduled to leave at 23.40 hrs. o­n the same day.

2)T.No.16736 Tiruchendur – Chennai Egmore Chendur Express scheduled to leave Tiruchendur at 19.45 hrs. o­n 6.4.2013 is rescheduled to leave at 20.45 hrs. o­n the same day.

Trains regulated

1)T.No.16177 Chennai Egmore – Tiruchchirappalli/Kumbakonam Rock Fort Express leaving Chennai Egmore o­n 6.4.2013 will be regulated by 45 minutes enroute.

2)T.No.16232 Mysore – Mayiladuthurai Express leaving Mysore o­n 6.4.2013 will be regulated by 90 minutes enroute.

3)T.No.16232 Mysore – Mayiladuthurai Express leaving Mysore o­n 7.4.2013 will be regulated by 30 minutes enroute.

TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS FOR PASSENGERS DUE TO DIVERSION OF 

T.No.16179/16180 CHENNAI EGMORE – MANNARGUDI – CHENNAI EGMORE MANNAI EXPRESS TRAINS

Due to line block at Thanjavur, the following trains will be diverted via. Mayiladuthurai – Thiruvarur.

1)T.No.16179 Chennai Egmore – Mannargudi Mannai Express leaving Chennai Egmore from 6.4.2013 to 8.4.2013.

2)T.No.16180 Mannargudi – Chennai Egmore Mannai Express leaving Mannargudi from 7.4.2013 & 8.4.2013

The following arrangements will be made to transport the passengers with reserved tickets, bound for Kumbakonam & Thanjavur arriving by 16179 from 7.4.2013 to 9.4.2013 and for passengers leaving from Thanjavur and Kumbakonam by T.No.16180 o­n 7.4.2013 & 8.4.2013.

1)A bus will leave Mayiladuthurai at 03.30 hrs. sharp o­n 7^th, 8^th & 9^th April 2013 to transport passengers of T.No.16179 bound for Kumbakonam.

2)A bus will leave Nidamangalam at 04.15 hrs. sharp o­n 7^th, 8^th & 9^th April 2013 to transport passengers of T.No.16179 bound for Thanjavur.

3)A bus will leave Thanjavur at 22.30 hrs. sharp o­n 7^th & 8^th April 2013 to transport the passengers from Thanjavur to Mayiladuthurai to board T.No.16180.

4)A bus will leave Kumbakonam at 23.00 hrs. sharp o­n 7^th & 8^th April 2013 to transport the passengers from Kumbakonam to Mayiladuthurai to board T.No.16180.

Passengers of T.No.16180 Mannargudi – Chennai Egmore Mannai Express are requested to report at least 30 minutes before the departure of the bus at Thanjavur and Kumbakonam.

SUMMER SPECIAL TRAINS

Southern Railway will run the following Special Trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer months of April, May & June 2013.

Chennai Central – Madgaon (Goa) - Chennai Central Weekly Specials: T.No.06001 Chennai Central – Madgaon Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 10.10 hrs. o­n Sundays from 14.4.2013 to 9.6.2013 and arrive Madgaon at 10.30 hrs. the next day. T.No.06002 Madgaon - Chennai Central Weekly Special will leave Madgaon at 13.15 hrs. o­n Mondays from 15.4.2013 to 10.6.2013 and arrive Chennai Central at 12.30 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier,  4 AC 3-tier, 11 Sleeper Class, 3 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Gudiyattam, Ambur, Vaniyambadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad, Kasaragod, Mangalore, Suratkal, Udupi, Kundapur, Mookambika Road, Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Kumta and Karwar.   T.No.06002 will stop at Perambur also.

TEMPORARY AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS

I.          T.No. 12028/12027 Bangalore City – Chennai Central – Bangalore City Shatabdi Express trains have been temporarily augmented by o­ne AC Chair Car, from 27.03.2013 to 30.06.2013, to clear waitlisted passengers.

                                                                                                           

II.       T.No.12607/12608 Chennai Central – Bangalore – Chennai Central Lalbaugh and T.No.12609/12610 Chennai Central – Bangalore – Chennai Central expresses have been temporarily augmented by o­ne second sitting for 6 months, from 28.03.2013 to 27.09.2013, to clear waitlisted passengers.
