SUMMER SPECIAL TRAINS BY SOUTHERN RAILWAYS

Southern Railway will run the following Summer Special Trains to clear the extra rush of passengers.

Chennai Central – Sai Nagar Shirdi - Chennai Central Weekly Specials: T.No.06001 Chennai Central – Sai Nagar Shirdi Weekly Special will leave Chennai Central at 11.40 hrs. on Mondays from 4.4.2011 to 27.6.2011 and arrive Sai Nagar Shirdi at 12.00 hrs. the next day. T.No.06002 Sai Nagar Shirdi - Chennai Central Weekly Special will leave Sai Nagar Shirdi at 10.00 hrs. on Wednesdays from 6.4.2011 to 29.6.2011 and arrive Chennai Central at 12.45 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 10 Sleeper Class,4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Renigunta, Koduru, Razampeta, Cuddappah, Yerraguntla, Muddanuru, Kodapuram, Tadipatri, Gooty, Guntakal, Adoni, Manthralayam Road, Raichur, Yadgir, Wadi, Gulbarga, Solapur, Daund, Ahmednagar, Belapur and Puntamba. T.No. 06002 will stop at Perambur also.

Advance reservations for the above trains will commence on 21.2.2011.

Secunderabad-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) Duronto Bi-Weekly Express

As announced by Mamata Banerjee, Hon’ble Minister of Railways in the Railway Budget, South Central Railway will introduce Train No.12220/12219 Secunderabad–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai)–Secunderabad Bi-weekly Duronto Express with effect from 22nd February, 2011 Ex. Secunderabad and from 23rd February,2011 Ex.Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai).

The schedule of the train is as follows.

Train No.12220 Secunderabad–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) Bi-weekly Duronto Express will depart Secunderabad on Tuesdays and Fridays at 23.05 Hrs., and arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus(Mumbai) at 11.05 Hrs. the next day.

In the return direction, Train No.12219 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus(Mumbai)–Secunderabad Bi-weekly Duronto Express will depart Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 23.05 Hrs and arrive Secunderabad at 11.05 Hrs. the next day.
The train will comprise of One AC First class, Two AC-2 Tier, Eight AC-3 Tier, One Buffet (Pantry) Car, Two Power Car & Luggage cum Brake van coaches totaling to Fourteen.
The fare between Secunderabad and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) is Rs. 2155/- for AC First Class, Rs. 1225/- for AC-2 Tier and Rs. 860/- for AC-3 Tier. There will be no stoppages for the Train at any of the stations enroute. Reservations commence from 14.00 hrs today.

RAJDHANI TYPE AC SUPERFAST BI-WEEKLY SUMMER SPECIAL BETWEEN MUMBAI & DELHI

For the convenience of the passengers during summer holidays, Western Railway will run Rajdhani Type AC Superfast Bi-weekly Summer Special train between Mumbai Central and New Delhi. WR has already announced Summer Holiday Special trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Gandhidham, Hapa, Okha and Indore. WR will also run Summer Holiday Special trains between Valsad-Varanasi, Ahmedabad-Yashwantpur and Porbandar-Secunderabad.

09003 Mumbai Central – New Delhi Bi-Weekly Superfast Summer Special will depart from Mumbai Central on every Monday & Friday at 19.45 hrs to reach New Delhi at 17.10 hrs next day from 1^st April to 27^th June, 2011. In return direction, 09004 New Delhi– Mumbai Central Bi-Weekly Superfast Summer Special will depart from New Delhi on every Tuesday & Saturday at 23.35 hrs and arrive at Mumbai Central at 20.55 hrs next day from 2^nd April to 28^thJune, 2011.

Enroute the train will halt at Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota and Mathura Jn. in both directions.

The train will have First AC, AC 2 Tier, AC 3 Tier coaches and pantry car.

Booking for Train No. 09003 will open on 21^st February, 2011.

Special Train Services Betweeen Hyderabad/Secundrabad – Visakhapatnam, Ferozpur, Bikaner

In order to clear extra rush of traffic, South Central Railway will run Sixty Special Train services between Secunderabad – Visakapatnam, Hyderabad-Ferozpur and Secunderabad-Bikaner as per the following schedule:-

1.Hyderabad–Visakhapatnam–Hyderabad (20 services)

Train No.07148 Hyderabad–Visakhapatnam Special Train will depart Hyderabad on every Saturday i.e 16th, 23rd, 30th April, 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th May, 4th, 11th and 18th June 2011 at 19 30 hrs and arrive Hyderabad at 08 30 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 07147 Visakhapatnam - Hyderabad Specialwill depart Visakhapatnam on every Sunday i.e 17th , 24thApril , 1st , 8th ,15th ,22nd ,29thMay, 5th ,12th and 19th June 2011 at 19.05 hrs and arrive Hyderabad at 08 50 hrs on the next day.

Enroute, these trains will stop at Secunderabad, Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Madhira, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Annavaram, Tuni, Anakapalli and Duvvada in both the directions. In the return direction Train No. 07104 Bikaner - Secunderabad Weekly Special will depart Bikaner at 15.15 hrs on Sunday on 17th ,24th April, 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th May, 5th, 12th and 19th June, 2011 and arrive Secunderabad at 08.50 hrs on Tuesday.

Summer Specials by Western Railways

To facilitate the passengers during summer holidays, Western Railway will run Summer special trains to various destinations. Western Railway runs holiday specials every year and every effort is made to increase the number where ever possible. The details of the trains being run this year are –

Tri-Weekly Super Fast Special Train between Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad 

Train No. 09001 Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad will leave Mumbai Central every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 22.50 hrs to reach Ahmedabad at 07.05 hrs the next day from 3rd April to 30th June, 2011. Similarly, Train No. 09002 Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central will leave Ahmedabad o­n every Wednesday, Friday and Monday at 21.40 hrs to arrive Mumbai Central at 6.15 hrs the next day from 4th April to 1st July, 2011.The train will have AC II tier, AC III tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches. SCR to run 425 Summer Special Trains

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during ensuing summer season, South Central Railway will run 425 Summer Special trains to various destinations fromSecunderabad to Kakinada Town, Narsapur, Manchriyal; Narsapur to Nagarsol and Adilabad to Nanded from 1st April to 30th June, 2011.Passengers can book their reservations for these Summer Special trains with effect from 15th February, 2011 at all Passenger Reservation Counters.
