To cater the traffic requirements and daily commuters demand, Northern Railway has decided to augment the passenger carrying capacity of NA-2 New Delhi-Aligarh/SNA-2 Shakurbasti-New Delhi Aligarh & AND-1Aligarh-New Delhi/AD-3 Aligarh-Delhi Jn. EMU trains by attaching 3 additional cars to make 15 car rakes from 27.11.2010 for one week on experimental basis.
With the augmentation of above4 EMU trains the following changes will also take place from 27.11.2010.:
1. SNA-2 Shakurbasti-Aligarh will be cancelled between Shakurbasti-New Delhi. NA-4 New Delhi-Aligarh EMU will leave New Delhi at 05.55 p.m. and run on the path of SNA-2 Shakurbasti-New Delhi-Aligarh.
2. AND-1Aligarh-New Delhi will be terminated at New Delhi with arrival of 09.28 a.m. and leave as GN-6 at 09.40 a.m.
3. SNS-1 will now terminate at Delhi instead of Shakurbasti with New No. SND-1 and run as per schedule New Delhi at 09.30/09.40 a.m. Delhi Sadar Bazar at 09.48/09.48 a.m. Delhi Jn. at 09.58 a.m. and onward as GD-8 at 10.00 a.m.
4. BN-1 Ballabhgarh-New Delhi EMU will be extended to Shakurbasi with New no. SNB-1 with timings-New Delhi 09.15/09.40 a.m. Delhi Kishanganj at 10/01/10.01 a.m. Vivekanand puri Halt at 10.05/10.05 a.m. Daya Basti at 10.08 a.m. Shakurbasti arrival at 10.15.
5. NS-2 will run with timing ex Shakurbasti at 5.20 p.m., Daya Basti at 5.27 p.m., Vivekanand puri Halt at 5.30 p.m., Delhi Kishanganj at 5.34 p.m. Daya Basti at 5.42 p.m., New Delhi arrival at 5.53 p.m. onward as NP-8 at 06.00 p.m.
