Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Sheila Dikshit today gifted the working women folkof National Capital region in the new year by flagging off another EMU Ladies Special Matribhoomi train between New Delhi-Panipat running 5 days a week.
The other train flagged off today is the A.C. Superfast Express 12455/12456 Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Sriganganagar(tri-weekly).
Besides she also announced incease in frequency of three other trains namelythe 12215/12216 Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Bandra Termimus Garib Rath, the 14705/14706 Delhi Sarai Rohilla - Sadulpur Express and the 12808/12807 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Vishakapatnam Samta Express.
The Matribhoomi passenger trains are run exclusively for women commuters travelling from far flung places to the Metros for earning a living.
The 64469/64470 Matribhoomi New Delhi-Panipat EMU will run 5 days a week and will depart from New Delhi at 05.50 p.m. to reach Panipat at 08.10p.m. and will depart from Panipat at 06.45 a.m. to arriveNew Delhi at 09.00 a.m.
The other new trainflagged off today istri weekly Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Sriganganagar A.C. Superfast Express 12455/12456which will provide a convenient over night service by departing on every Tuesday Thursday and Sunday, effective from 6.1.2011 at 10.50 p.m. to arrive atSriganganagar at 07.40 a.m. the next day while in the return direction it will, effective from 5.11.2011, depart on every Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 10.00 p.m. from Sriganganagar to arrive atDelhi Sarai Rohilla at 6.35 a.m. the next day, and will stop at Rohtak, Jind, Jakhal, Sangrur, Dhuri & Bathinda stations enroute in both the directions.
The frequency of 12215/12216 Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Bandra Terminus Garib Rath Express has been increased from 3 to 4 days a week. The 12215 Garib Rath will depart from Delhi Sarai Rohilla with effect from 11.1.2011 on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday, while in the return direction the 12216 will depart from Bandra Terminus with effect from 12.1.2011 on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Sunday
While the frequency of 14705/14706 Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Sadulpur Express has been increased from 3 to 6 days a week, thus it will runevery Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday effective from 6.1.2011 .
The frequency of 12808/12807 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Vishakapatnam Samta Express has been increased from 3 to 5 days a week. The 12808 will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday effective from 10.1.2011 while 12807 will depart from Vishakapatnam on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday with effect from 8.1.2011 to reach Hazrat Nizamuddin.
With the introduction of these services,various cities such as Sriganganagar, Panipat, Mumbai, Sadulpur and Visakhapatnam will be drawn closer to the National Capital New Delhi.
