INTRODUCTION OF NEW BI-WEEKLY EXPRESS TRAIN NO. 14155/14156 BETWEEN JAMMU TAWI AND KANPUR

For the convenience of rail passengers, Railways will introduce a new Train No. 14155/14156 Between Jammu Tawi and Kanpur Bi-Weekly Express as per the following programme-

The 14155 Kanpur- Jammu Tawi Bi-Weekly Express Train will depart from Kanpur at 05.15 p.m. o­n every Tuesday & Saturday from 09.06..2016 to reach Jammu Tawi at 12.10 p.m. the next day. In the return direction, the 14156 Jammu Tawi- Kanpur Bi-Weekly Express Train will depart from Jammu Tawi at 05.30 p.m. o­n every Wednesday & Sunday from 10.06.2016 to reach Kanpur at 01.55 p.m. the next day.

Comprising of o­ne A.C. 2 Tier, two A.C. 3 Tier, seven Sleeper Class, Six General Class besides Two Luggage Van coaches, 14155/14156 Jammu Tawi- Kanpur- Jammu Tawi Bi-Weekly Express train will stop at Etawah, Tundla, Aligarh, Khurja, Bulandsheher, Hapur, Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Ambala Cantt., Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt. and Pathankot Cantt. stations enroute in both the directions.

INTRODUCTION OF NEW TRAIN BETWEEN PUNE AND GORAKHPUR

Ministry of Railways have decided to introduce a New Weekly Express train between Pune and Gorakhpur via Manmad - Bina - Kanpur - Lucknow as announced by Hon'ble Minister for Railways during Railway Budget 2014. The details are as under:

Train No. 15029 weekly express will leave Gorakhpur at 17.25 hrs o­n every Thursday with effect from 26.3.2015 and arrive Pune at 04.05 hrs o­n third day.

Train No. 15030 weekly express will leave Pune at 10.45 hrs o­n every Saturday with effect from 28.3.2015 and arrive Gorakhpur at 21.55 hrs next day.

HALTS - Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Habibganj, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Orai, Kanpur Central, Unnao, Lucknow (NR), Gonda, Mankapur,  Basti and Khalilabad.

COMPOSITION - o­ne AC-2 Tier, o­ne AC-3 Tier, 8 Sleeper class, 6 General second class and 2 General second class cum guard's brake vans

RESERVATION:  Bookings for 15030 will open from 27.3.2015.

Introduction of New Weekly Express Train between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Hubli via Solapur

Railways have decided to introduce a new Weekly Express train between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Hubli. The details are as under: –

17322 Weekly Express will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 21.15 hrs o­n every Sunday from 2.11.2014 and will arrive Hubli at 17.35 hrs next day. 17321 Weekly Express will leave Hubli at 22.30 hrs o­n every Saturday from 8.11.2014 and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 16.55 hrs next day.

HALTS: Thane, Panvel, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Hotgi, Bijapur, Almatti, Bagalkot, Badami and Gadag.

COMPOSITION: o­ne AC-2 Tier, o­ne AC-3 Tier, 6 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second class and 2 General Second Class cum Guard’s Brake van.

INTRODUCTION OF NEW WEEKLY EXPRESS TRAIN BETWEEN JAMMU TAWI AND SHRIGANGA NAGAR

For the convenience of rail passengers, the Railways have decided to introduce new Train No. 14713/14714 Shriganga Nagar- Jammu Tawi- Shriganga Nagar Weekly Express (Via Abohar, Bathinda, Dhuri)as per the following programme:

  The 14713 Shriganga Nagar- Jammu Tawi Weekly Express Train will depart from Shriganga Nagar at 02.45 p.m.on every Wednesday from 24.09.2014 to reach Jammu Tawi at 02.20 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the 14714 Jammu Tawi- Shriganga Nagar Weekly Express train will depart from Jammu Tawi at 05.30 a.m.on every Thursday from 25.09.2014 to reach Shriganga Nagar at 06.20 p.m. the same day.

RAILWAY INTRODUCES AIR CONDITIONED SUPERFAST “SHREE SHAKTI EXPRESS”

For the convenience of passengers desirous to travel between New Delhi and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra stations, Northern Railway has decided to introduce a daily service of an Air conditioned superfast train no. 22461/22462 from 14-07-2014 from both the directions. This train service has been named “Shri Shakti Express” by hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.

The path and schedule of 22461/22462 ‘Shri Shakti Express’ will be as under:-


The 22461 New Delhi- Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra AC Superfast Express :

The 22461 Shri Shakti Express will depart from New Delhi at 5:30 pm daily to arrive at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 5:10 am the next day. Its maiden run will start from New Delhion 14-07-2014.

The 22462 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi AC Superfast Express:
The 22462 Shri Shakti Express will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 10:55 pm daily to reach New Delhiat 10:45 am the next day. Its maiden run will also start o­n 14/7/2014 from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Railway station.

 Consisting of o­ne first AC , five AC two tier and nine AC three tier coaches, the’ Shri Shakti Express’ will stop at Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot cantt , Jammu Tawi and Udhampur Stations enroute in both directions.


Prior to the introduction of ‘Shri Shakti Express’, Northern Railway has already extended the run of the three DEMU trains viz a viz the  74909, 74905 and 74907 Pathankot-Jammu Tawi  DEMUs  up to  Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra station with effect from  04-07-2014.


Hence its pairing services  i.e. the 74909/74910, 74905/74908 and 74907/74906 DEMU trains have thus been provided stoppages at Udhampur and Chak Rakhwal Stations o­n extended portions in both the directions already from 04-07-2014 to serve the passengers.

EXTENSION OF 13133/13134 SEALDAH – VARANASI EXPRESS UPTO DELHI JN

It is notified for the information of general public that train no 13133/13134 Sealdah – Varanasi Express will be extended from Varanasi to Delhi Jn.(02 days a week) from 06.07.2014 to 24.08.2014 o­n every Monday & Friday when departing from Varanasi and from 09.07.2014 to 27.08.2014 o­n every Tuesday & Saturday when departing from Delhi Jn.

The train shall run as 13119/13120 on the days of extended run. Timings and stoppages shall be in accordance with July, 2013 issue of Zonal Time Table.
         
Timings and stoppages of 13119/13120 shall remain the same between Sealdah – Varanasi. Timings and stoppages over the extended portion (Varanasi– Delhi Jn.) shall be as under:

The 13119/13120 Sealdah – Varanasi Express will depart from Varanasiat 10.00 p.m. to reach Delhi Jn. at 11.15 a.m. the next day, while in the return direction, the 13133/13134 Sealdah – Varanasi Express will depart from Delhi Jn. at 05.55 p.m. to reach Varanasi at 08.20 a.m. the next day.

The 13119/13120 Sealdah – Varanasi Express with AC 3 Tier, sleeper class & general class coaches, will stop at Sultanpur, Lucknow, Hardoi, Bareilly, Moradabad & Ghaziabad stations enroute in both the directions.

The 13133/13134 Sealdah – Varanasi Express shall run with the above composition for the remaining 5 (five) days and to be treated as cancelled o­n the following days & dates mentioned against them.

NEW DAILY EXPRESS TRAIN BETWEEN ANAND VIHAR T. AND KOLKATA

For the convenience of passengers, Railway has decided to introduce new Train No. 13131/13132 Kolkata-Anand Vihar T.- Kolkata Daily Express as per the following schedule:-

The 13131 Kolkata- Anand Vihar T. Daily Express train will depart from Kolkata at 07.50 p.m. from 01.07.2014 to reach Anand Vihar T. at 11.40 a.m. In the return direction, the 13132 Anand Vihar T.- Kolkata Daily Expresstrain will depart from Anand Vihar T. at 03.30 p.m. from 01.07.2014 to reach Kolkata at 07.30 a.m.

 Comprising of A.C. 2 tier, A.C. 3 tier & Sleeper Class coaches, the 13131/13132 Kolkata- Anand Vihar T.- Kolkata Daily Express train will stop at Naihati, Bandel, Bardhman, Durgapur, Raniganj, Asansol, Chhitranjan, Jamtara, Madhupur, Jaiidih, Simultala, Jhajha, Mughalsarai, Kanpur, Ghaziabad & Sahibabad stations enroute in both directions.

INTRODUCTION OF A NEW TRAIN SERVICE BETWEEN NAGERCOIL – KACHEGUDA

A new weekly express train service between Nagercoil – Kacheguda is being introduced.

Train No.16354 Nagercoil – Kacheguda weekly express train will be introduced ex. Nagercoil on 20.05.2014, Tuesday; Train No.16353 Kacheguda – Nagercoil weekly express train will be introduced ex. Kacheguda on 21.05.2014, Wednesday.

Train No.16354 Nagercoil – Kacheguda weekly express will leave Nagercoil at 08.10 hrs. on Tuesdays and reach Kacheguda at 14.00 hrs. on Wednesdays.

Train No.16353 Kacheguda – Nagercoil weekly express will leave Kachegudaat 16.00 hrs. on Wednesdays and reach Nagercoil at 21.10 hrs. on Thursdays.

The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 3 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class,4 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brakevan coaches.

The trains will stop at Valliyur, Tirunelveli, Kovilpatti, Satur, Virudhunagar, Madurai Jn. Dindigul Jn. Tiruchchirappalli Jn. Karur, Namakkal, Rasipuram, Salem Jn. Jolarpettai Jn. Vaniyambadi, Gudiyattam, Katpadi Jn. Chittoor, Tirupati, Renigunta Jn. Cuddappah, Yerraguntla, Tadipatri, Gooty Jn. Dhone, Kurnool City, Gadwal and Mahbubnagar.

New Air Conditioned Double Decker Bi-Weekly Superfast Express Train services to be introduced between Kacheguda – Guntur & Kacheguda – Tirupati from 13th May, 2014

South Central Railway will introduce two new Air Conditioned Double Decker Bi-Weekly Superfast Express train services between Kacheguda – Guntur & Kacheguda – Tirupati as announced in the Interim Railway Budget 2014. The maiden service of the first ever Double Decker train o­n SCR will commence at 05:30 hrs o­n 13thMay, 2014 from Kacheguda to Guntur.          

The Commissioner for Railway Safety (CRS) has given clearance for the running of these Double Decker train services consequent to the successful completion of the trial runs of the train, very recently. Acting o­n the same, Shri P.K. Srivastava, General Manager, South Central Railway directed that these trains be introduced at the earliest with a view to meet the summer rush and the traffic demands of this busy season. These services are set to enhance the train connectivity between the twin cities of Hyderabad/Secunderabad with Guntur and Tirupati.

The schedule of the new train services is as follows:-

Train No. 22118/22117 Kacheguda – Guntur – Kacheguda Air Conditioned Bi-Weekly Double Decker Superfast  Express (commencing from 13th May, 2014).

Train No. 22118 Kacheguda – Guntur Air Conditioned Bi-Weekly Double Decker Superfast Express will depart Kacheguda at 05:30 hrs every Tuesday and Friday, Malkajgiri at 05:46 hrs, Nalgonda at 07:21 hrs, Miryalaguda at 07:51 hrs, Piduguralla at 08:36 hrs and arrive Guntur at 10:40 hrs.

In the return direction, Train No. 22117 Guntur – Kacheguda Air Conditioned Bi-Weekly Double Decker Superfast Express will depart Guntur at 12:45 hrs every Tuesday and Friday, Piduguralla at 13:46 hrs, Miryalaguda at 14:36 hrs, Nalgonda at 15:01 hrs, Malkajgiri at 17:41 hrs and arrive Kacheguda at 17:55 hrs.

Train No. 22120/22119 Kacheguda – Tirupati - Kacheguda Air Conditioned Bi-Weekly Double Decker Superfast Express (commencing from 14thMay, 2014).

Train No. 22120 Kacheguda – Tirupati Air Conditioned Bi-Weekly Double Decker Superfast Express will depart Kacheguda at 06:45 hrs every Wednesday and Saturday, Mahabubnagar at 08:06 hrs, Gadwal at 09:26 hrs, arrive/depart Kurnool City at 11:00/11:02 hrs, depart Dhone at 12:10 hrs, arrive/depart Gooty at 13:00/13:02 hrs, Tadipatri at 13:47/13:49 hrs, Yerraguntla at 14:49/14:51 hrs, Kadapa at 15:20/15:22 hrs, Rajampeta at 16:20/16:22, Renigunta at 17:35/17:55 hrs and arrive Tirupati at 18:15 hrs.

In the return direction, Train No. 22120 Tirupati - Kacheguda Air Conditioned Bi-Weekly Double Decker Superfast Express will depart Tirupati at 05:45 hrs every Thursday and Sunday, arrive/depart Renigunta at 06:00/06:20 hrs, Rajampeta at 07:13/07:15 hrs, Kadapa at 08:05/08:07 hrs, depart Yerraguntla at 08:43 hrs, Tadipatri at 09:46 hrs, arrive/depart Gooty at 11:00/11:02 hrs, Dhone at 12:10/12:15 hrs, Kurnool City at 13:00/13:04 hrs, depart Gadwal at 14:05, Mahabubnagar at 15:05 hrs and arrive Kacheguda at 17:15 hrs.


These trains will consist of ten Double Decker Air Conditioned Chair Cars and two power cars. Advance reservations for these trains will commence from 08:00 hrs of 9th May, 2014.

NEW TRAIN TO NAHARLAGUN

History was made o­n date with Itanagar – the capital of Arunachal Pradesh – coming o­n the Railway Map of India. The first daily passenger train service o­n the Harmuti – Naharlagun (Itanagar) Broad Gauge section under Rangiya Division of N. F. Railway started with a pair of passenger trains (No. 55613 / 55614) between Dekargaon and Naharlagun this morning. As train number 55613 Up started from the newly-opened Dekargaon (Tezpur) station at 7.00 A.M. today, a new vista o­n rail map of India was opened. The train reached Naharlagun, about 13 kilometres into Arunachal Pradesh in Lower Subansiri district, at 12.30 P.M.bringing the state into Indian Railway map. o­n the return journey, train number 55614 will leave Naharlagun at 01.30 P.M. to reach Dekargaon at 7.15 P.M.

Before this, Arunachal Pradesh had o­nly 1.26 km railway line inside its border with the o­nly station being Bhalukpong in East Kameng district. In line with Railway’s goal of providing connectivity to all state capitals of the northeastern region, a survey was conducted in 1997 for a new line from Harmuti to Itanagar and the project was sanctioned in 1996-97 Railway Budget as a Metre Gauge line. The approval of the state government was received in 2006, but the alignment had to be changed in 2010 o­n the request of the state government and finally the line was taken up as a Broad Gauge line from Harmuti to Naharlagun (9 km in Assam+12.75 km in Arunachal Pradesh = 21.75 km).

The line from Harmuti traverses 6 kms in Lakhimpur District of Assam before entering Lower Subansiri and runs along the left bank of river Dikong for about 7 km up to Doimukh before crossing the river. The approximate cost of construction of the line was `406 crores. There 46 minor bridges and 11 major bridges o­n the line.

NEW AC SUPERFAST EXPRESS BETWEEN NEW DELHI-LUCKNOW

It is hereby notified to the general public that the train no 12231/12232 Lucknow-New Delhi AC express and 12271/12272 Lucknow-New Delhi Duronto express will be cancelled from 15.06.14 from Lucknow and from 16.06.14 from New Delhi and in lieu of the same a new Daily AC superfast express will be introduced between Lucknow and New Delhi from 15.06.14 ex Lucknow and from 16.06.14 from New Delhi as per the following programme:-

The12429 Lucknow-New Delhi AC Superfast Express train will depart fromLucknowat 11.30 p.m. from 15.06.2014 to reachNew Delhiat 07.30 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the12430 New Delhi-Lucknow AC Superfast Express train will depart fromNew Delhi at 11.30 p.m. from 16.06.2014 to reachLucknow at 07.10 a.m. the same day.

         Consisting of o­ne AC I-cum-II Tier, four AC II tier and three AC III tier coaches, the 12429/12430 will stop at Bareilly, Moradabad and Ghaziabad stations enroute in both directions.

2 New MEMU services from Friday by Southern Railways

Two Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) services between the Ernakulum Junction and Kollam Junction stations, sanctioned in the Railway Budget 2013-14, will be functional from Friday.

The 66307/66308/66309 will be operated via Kottayam and Alappuzha on all days except Wednesdays.

The 66307 Ernakulam Junction- Kollam Junction MEMU via Kottayam will leave Ernakulam at 5.15 a.m. to reach Kollam at 9.30 a.m.

The 66308 Kollam Junction- Ernakulam Junction service will start from Kollam at 11.15 a.m. to reach Ernakulam at 3.25 p.m.

The 66309 Ernakulam Junction- Kollam Junction service via Alappuzha will leave Ernakulam at 7.30 p.m. to reach Kollam at 11.05 p.m.

The 66310 Kollam Junction- Ernakulam Junction service will start from Kollam at 00.10 hrs to reach Ernakulam at 4.25 a.m on all days except Thursdays.

New DEMU service on Konkan Railway route

 The ministry of railway has decided to introduce a DEMU service between Madgaon and Karwar on Konkan Railway route.

Train no. 70103 Madgaon - Karwar will run on all days except Sunday and will leave from Madgaon at 10.15 am and reach Karwar at 11.50 am same day.

On its return journey, Train no. 70104 Karwar - Madgaon will run on all days except Sunday and will leave from Karwar at 2.50 pm and reach Madgaon at 4.10 pm. The train will have 3 coaches. The train will halt at Balli, Canacona, Loliem, and Asnoti stations.

INTRODUCTION OF A NEW TRAIN SERVICE BETWEEN CHENNAI CENTRAL – BIKANER

A new weekly air-conditioned superfast express train service between Chennai Central – Bikaner is being introduced.

Train No.22631 Chennai Central – Bikaner weekly AC superfast express will be introduced ex. Chennai o­n 27.03.2014, Thursday; Train No.22632 Bikaner – Chennai Central weekly AC superfast express will be introduced ex. Bikaner o­n 30.03.2014, Sunday.

Train No.22631 Chennai Central – Bikaner weekly AC superfast express will leave Chennai Central at 21.10 hrs. on Thursdays and reach Bikaner at 18.00 hrs. on Saturdays.

Train No.22632 Bikaner – Chennai Central weekly AC superfast express will leave Bikaner at 13.50 hrs. on Sundays and reach Chennai Central at 09.55 hrs. on Tuesdays.

The composition of the trains will be 1 First Class AC, 3 AC 2-tier and 9 AC 3-tier coaches.

The trains will stop at Sulurpeta, Gudur Jn., Nellore, o­ngole, Vijawada Jn., Khammam, Warangal, Ramagundam, Sirpur Kaghaznagar, Ballharshah, Chandrapur, Nagpur, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bairagarh, Sehore, Shujalpur, Ujjain, Nagda, Shamgarh, Kota Jn., Sawai Madhopur Jn., Banasthali Niwai, Durgapura, Jaipur Jn., Phulera, Makrana Jn., Degana, Nagaur and Nokha.

Reservation for the above trains will commence on 23.03.2014.
