Southern Railway will run the following additional Sabarimala special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during Sabarimala season.

1)      Narsapur – Kollam – Narsapur Specials (via. Renigunta, Tirupati, Pakala): T. No.07217 Narsapur – Kollam Special will leave Narsapur at 20.50 hrs. on 30^th & 31^st December 2010 and arrive Kollam at 01.00 hrs. the third day.  T No. 07218 Kollam – Narsapur Special will leave Kollam at 03.00 hrs. on 1^st & 2^nd January 2011 and arrive Narsapur at 05.45 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. T.No. 07214 Kollam – Vijayawada Special will leave Kollam at 05.10 hrs. on 7.1.2011 and arrive Vijayawada at 05.20 hrs. the next day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. 5)      Akola – Kollam – Tirupati Specials (via. Renigunta, Tirupati, Pakala): T.No.07507 Akola – Kollam Special will leave Akola at 09.40 hrs. on 3.12.2010 & 17.12.2010 and arrive Kollam at 02.45 hrs. the third day. T.No. 07508 Kollam – Tirupati Special will leave Kollam at    05.10 hrs. on 5.12.2010 & 19.12.2010 and arrive Tirupati at 21.45 hrs. the same day. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. The trains will stop at Chittoor, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam. Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on 3.12.2010.

SCR to run 180 Sabarimalai Special Trains

South Central Railway will run 180 special trains between Hyderabad, Nizamabad, Kakinada Town, Narasapur, Machilipatnam, Vijayawada and Kollam,  from Karimnagar, Sirpurkagaznagar, Aurangabad, Akola to Kollam and from Kollam  to Tirupati, Vijayawada from 1st December, 2010 till 19th January, 2011 to meet the demands of pilgrim traffic to Sabarimalai.

These special trains will have one AC II Tier, one AC III Tier, eight Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Break Van Coaches totaling to 18 coaches. Reservation for these special trains will commence from 28th January, 2010.

1). Train No.07109/07110 Hyderabad-Kollam-Hyderabad Sabarimalai Special Trains (via. Kazipet, Renigunta) (50 services):

Train No. 07109 Hyderabad-Kollam special train will depart Hyderabad at 16.00 hrs on 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 16th, 17th,  20th, 22nd December, 2010 and 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th January, 2011 and arrive Kollam at 23.00 hrs on the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07110 Kollam-Hyderabad Sabarimalai special train will depart Kollam at 01.20 hrs on 3rd, 6th, 7th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 16th  , 18th, 19th, 22nd, 24th December, 2010 and 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th , 17th, 18th 19th January, 2011 and arrive Hyderabad at 06.00 hrs on the next day.

2). Train No.07115/07116 Hyderabad-Kollam-Hyderabad Sabarimalai Special Trains (via. Nadikudi, Guntur, Renigunta) ( 14 services):

Train No. 07115 Hyderabad-Kollam special train will depart Hyderabad at    16.00 hrs on 2nd , 7th, 13th, 19th December, 2010 and 3rd, 7th, 11th January, 2011 and arrive Kollam at 23.00 hrs on the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07116 Kollam-Hyderabad Sabarimalai special train will depart Kollam at 01.20 hrs on 4th, 9th, 15th, 21st December, 2010 and 5th, 9th, 13th January, 2011 and arrive Hyderabad at 06.00 hrs on the next day.
