In order to help passengers travelling during Deepavali period, Southern Railway has decided to run special trains as well as augment the already running trains.In order to cater to the demand in the Chennai Egmore – Tiruchchirappalli – Madurai – Tirunelveli – Tiruchendur sector, Southern Railway is attaching 5 extra coaches daily by T.No.16735 Chennai Egmore – Tiruchendur Chendur Exp. from 21.10.2011 to 30.10.2011.In the return direction, these five coaches will be attached by T.No. 16736 Tiruchendur – Chennai Egmore Chendur Exp. from 22.10.2011 to 31.10.2011. By this, on a daily basis, 360 extra berths are being made available for the passengers.Passengers are requested to check the status and make reservations from the general quota as well as the Tatkal quota. Passengers waitlisted by this train are also requested to check the status of their tickets.
