SPECIAL TRAINS FROM ECoR

With a view to providing comfortable journey to the passengers during X’Mas holidays and also to clear waitlisted passengers during the peak season, Railways have planned to run more pairs of Special Trains from Visakhapatnam to Gandhidham & Bhagat Ki Kothi (Jodhpur).

East Coast Railway would like passengers to avail the services of these special trains during the forthcoming X’Mas to avoid rush in regular Mail/Express long distance trains.Passengers are also requested to avail these special trains for use of the available berths by purchasing tickets through internet or at the PRS Counters.

VISAKHAPATNAM-GANDHIDHAM SPECIAL:
08501 Visakhapatnam-Gandhidham Special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 1735 hrs on every Thursday between 19th to 26th December 2013 and will arrive at Gndhidham at 0950 hrs on every Saturday. In the return direction, 08502 Gandhidham-Visakhapatnam Special train will leave Gandhidham at 2245 hrs on every Sunday between 22nd to 29th December 2013 and will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 1435 hrs on every Tuesday.

This train has one AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, 11 Sleeper Class Coaches, Six General  Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Duvvada, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Elluru, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warrangal, Ramagundam, Ballahrsha, Wardha, Badnera, Akola, Malkapur, Bhusaval, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Surat, Ankleswar, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, Viramgam, Dharangdhara, Samakhiali and Bhachau between Visakhapatnam & Gandhidham.

VISAKHAPATNAM-BHAGAT KI KOTHI (JODHPUR) SPECIAL: 
08573 Visakhapatnam-Bhagat Ki Kothi (Jodhpur) Special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 0535hrs o­n every Thursday between 19th to 26th December 2013 and will arrive at Bhagat Ki Kothi at 2245hrs o­n every Friday. In the return direction, 08574 Bhagat Ki Kothi-Visakhapatnam Special train will leave Bhagat Ki Kothi at 1415 hrs on every Saturday between 21st to 28th December 2013 and will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 0820 hrs on every Monday.

This train has one AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, 11 Sleeper Class Coaches, Six General  Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Vizianagaram, Bobbli, Parvatipuram, Rayagada, Muniguda, Kesinga, Titilagarh, Kantabanji, Khariar Road, Mahasamund, Raipur, Bhatapara, Uslapur, Pendra Road, Anuppor, Shahdol, Katni Murwara, Damoh, Sagour, Malkhedi, Guna, Chhabra Gogur, Baran, Kota, Sawai Madhapur, Banasthaliniwai, Jaipur, Phulera, Makrana, Degana, Merta Road & Jodhpur between Visakhapatnam & Bhagat Ki Kothi.

Puri-Ahmedabad Special train
08401 Puri-Ahmedabad Special train will leave Puri at 0855 hrs on every Tuesday between 24th December 2013 to 28th January 2014 and will arrive at Ahmedabad at 0330 hrs on the next Thursday. In the return direction, 08402 Ahmedabad-Puri Special train will leave Ahmedabad at 1800 hrs on every Thursday between 26th December 2013 to 30th January 2014 and will arrive at Puri at 1045 hrs on Saturday.
This train has 15 General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Khurda Road, Balugaon, Chhatrapur, Brahmapur, Sompeta, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and Duvvada in East Coast Railway jurisdiction and will run via Samalkot, Vijayawada, Warangal, Ballarshah, Wardha, Bhusawal & Surat between Puri and Ahmedabad Station.

The 02685 Yeshwantpur– Chandigarh Superfast Special train will depart from Yeshwantpur o­n 11.12.2013 (one trip) at 01.50 p.m. to reach Chandigarh at 06.20 p.m. the third day. In the return direction, the 02686 Chandigarh- Yeshwantpur Superfast Express Special train will depart from Chandigarh on 14.12.2013 (one trip) at 03.15 a.m. to reach Yeshwantpur at 06.20 a.m. the third day.

The 05036 Anand Vihar T.- Gorakhpur(Weekly) Festival Special Festival Special train will depart from Anand Vihar T. on every Wednesday from 11.12.2013 to 26.03.2014 (16 trips) at 01.00 p.m. to reach Gorakhpur at 04.00 a.m. the next day.
In the return direction, the 05035 Gorakhpur- Anand Vihar T. (Weekly) Festival Special Festival Special train will depart from Gorakhpur o­n every Thursday from 12.12.2013 to 27.03.2014 (16 trips) at 01.00 p.m. to reach Anand Vihar T. at 06.30 a.m. the next day.

Winter Specials by Northern Railway

To cater to the extra passenger rush during the winter season, Northern Railway has decided to run Special Trains as per the following programme:

04604/04603 Jammu Tawi- Pathankot- JammuTawi DEMU (Five-Days-a-Week) Winter Special Train (22 Trips)
The 04604 Jammu Tawi- Pathankot DEMU (Five-Days-a-Week) winter special train will depart from Jammu Tawi at 09.50 a.m. to reach Pathankot at 12.20 noon the same day, while in the return direction, the 04603 Pathankot- Jammu Tawi DEMU (Five-Days-a-Week) winter special train will depart from Pathankot at 02.20 p.m. to reach Jammu Tawi at 04.50 p.m. the same day from Monday to Friday (except Saturday & Sunday) from 02.12.2013 to 31.12.2013 (22 trips in each direction).

The 04604/04603 Jammu Tawi- Pathankot- Jammu Tawi DEMU (Five-Days-a-Week except Saturday & Sunday) winter special train will stop at Bari Brahman,  Vijaypur Jammu,  Block Hut Basantar, Sambha, Ghagwal, Hira Nagar,  Chakdayala,  Chhan Arorian, Budhi, Kathua, Madhopur Punjab, Sujanpur & Bharoli stations enroute in both directions.

The 04511 Saharanpur- Ambala Cantt. Daily MEMU winter special train will depart from Saharanpurat 04.45 a.m. to reach Ambala Cantt. at 06.30 a.m. the same day, while in the return direction, the 04512 Ambala Cantt.- Saharanpur Daily MEMU winter special train will depart from Ambala Cantt. at 08.35 p.m. to reach Saharanpur at 10.35 p.m. the same day from 01.12.2013 to 31.12.2013 (31 trips in each direction).

The 04511/04512 Saharanpur- Ambala Cantt.- Saharanpur Daily MEMU winter special train will stop at  Pilkhani, Sarsawa, Kalanaur, Jagadhari, Jagadhari Workshop, Darazpur, Mustafabad, Barara, Tandwal, Kesri & Dukheri stations enroute in both directions.

In the return direction, the 04052 Jammu Tawi - Anand Vihar Terminal  Express Special train shall depart from Jammu Tawi at 05.40 p.m.  on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday  from 26.11.2013 to 15.12.2013( 15 trips) to reach Anand Vihar Terminal at  05.45 a.m. the next day

Consisting of nine Sleeper and four general class coaches besides luggage vans, the 04051/04052 Anand Vihar Terminal – Jammu Tawi Express Special Train will stop at Ghaziabad, Meerut City, Saharanpur, Ambala Cantt., Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt. And Chakki Bank stations enroute in both directions.

Special Trains by East Coast Railway for Winter season

With a view to provide comfort to the commuters and also to clear the huge waitlist of passengers during the peak season i.e. from December’2013 to January’2014, East Coast Railway has taken steps to run special trains towards different destinations from its jurisdiction.

BHUBANESWAR-NEW DELHI SPECIAL:
02815 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 0810 hrs on every Sunday between 8th to 29th December 2013 and will arrive at New Delhi at 0605hrs o­n every Monday. In the return direction, 02816 New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Special train will leave New Delhi at 1300 hrs o­n every Monday between 9th to 30th December 2013 and will arrive at Bhubaneswar at 1105hrs o­n every Tuesday.

This train has one AC-2 tiers, Four AC-3 tiers, 13 Sleeper Classes, Two General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Van in its composition having stoppages at Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore, Hijli, Bankura, Adra, Gomo, Gaya, Mughalsarai, Allahabad and Kanpur between Bhubaneswar and New Delhi.

BHUBANESWAR-YESVANTPUR SPECIAL
02845 Bhubaneswar-Yesvantpur Special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 0745 hrs on every Wednesday between 4th to 25th December 2013 and will arrive at Yesvantpur at 1210 hrs on every Thursday. In the return direction, 02846 Yesvantpur-Bhubaneswar Special train will leave Yesvantpur at 2330 hrs o­n every Thursday between 5th to 26thDecember 2013 and will arrive at Bhubaneswar at 0330 hrs o­n every Saturday.

This train has one AC-2 tiers, Four AC-3 tiers, 13 Sleeper Classes, Two General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Van in its composition having stoppages at Khurda Road, Balugaon, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagram and Visakhapatnam in ECoR’s jurisdiction between Bhubaneswar and Yesvantpur.

08516 Visakhapatnam-Tata Special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 1745 hrs on every Sunday between 8th to 29th December 2013 and will arrive at Tata at 1045 hrs on the next day. In the return direction, 08515 Tata-Visakhapatnam Special train will leave Tata at 1300 hrs on every Monday between 9th to 30th December 2013 and will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 0440 hrs on the following days.

This train has one AC-2 tier, one AC-3 tier, 05 Sleeper Class, 06 General Second Class and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Simhachalam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Palasa, Ichhapuram, Brahmapur, Chhatrapur, Balugaon, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Mancheswar, Cuttack, Jakhapura, Sukinda Road, Harichandanpur, Kendujhargarh, Nayagarh, Jaroli, Bansapani, Dongoaposi, Chaibasa and Rajkharsuan between Visakhapatnam and Tata.

SEALDAH-PURI SPECIAL:
03101/03102 Sealdah-Puri-Sealdah weekly Special train will leave Sealdah at 12.35 hrs on every Sunday from 22nd to 29th December 2013 and will arrive at Puri at 22.00 hrs on the same day. In the return direction, this train will leave Puri at 23.45 hrs on every Sunday from 22nd to 29th December 2013  and will arrive at Sealdah at 0920 hrs on the following days.

This train will have one Ac First Class, one AC-2 tier, Four AC-3 tier, Seven Sleeper Classes and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur between Puri and Sealdah.

HATIA-YESVANTPUR SPECIAL VIA SAMBALPUR
08637 Hatia-Yesvantpur special train will leave Hatia at 1815 hrs on every Saturday between 7th December  2013 to 25th January 2014 and will arrive at Yesvantpur at 0500 hrs on every Monday. In the return direction, 08638 Yesvantpur-Hatia special train will leave Yesvantpur at 0030hrs o­n every Tuesday (Midnight of Monday) between 10th December 2013 to 28th January 2014 and will arrive at Hatia at 1330hrs o­n every Wednesday.

 VISAKHAPATNAM-KOLLAM SPECIAL:

08567 Visakhapatnam-Kollam special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 2330 hrs on every Sunday between 1st December to 26th January 2014 and will arrive at Kollam at 0415 hrs on Tuesday. In the return direction, 08568 Kollam-Visakhapatnam special train will leave Kollam at 0645 hrs on every Tuesday between 3rd December to 28th January 2014 and will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 1215 hrs on every Wednesday.

KAMAKHYA-YESVANTPUR SPECIAL VIA BHADRAK-CUTTACK-BRAHMAPUR
02552 Kamakhya-Yesvantpur Special train will leave Kamakhya at 1400 hrs on every Wednesday between 4th December to 29th January 2014 and will arrive at Yesvantpur at 1830 hrs on every Friday. In the return direction, 02551 Yesvantpur-Kamakhya Special train will leave Yesvantpur at 0830 hrs on every Saturday between 7th December 2013 to 1st February 2014 and will arrive at Kamakhya at 1330 hrs on every Monday.

KAMAKHYA-CHENNAI CENTRAL SPECIAL VIA BHADRAK-CUTTACK-BRAHMAPUR
02508 Kamakhya-Chennai Central Special train will leave Kamakhya at 1400 hrs on every Monday between 2nd December 2013 to 27th January 2014 and will arrive at Chennai Central at 1455 hrs on every Wednesday. In the return direction, 02507 Chennai Central-Kamakhya Special train will leave Chennai Central at 1100 hrs o­n every Thursday between 5th December 2013 to 30th January 2014 and will arrive at Kamakhya at 1230 hrs o­n every Saturday.

WR EXTENDS TRIPS OF SPECIAL TRAINS

For the convenience of passengers and to clear extra rush during the winter season, Western Railway has decided to extend the trips of special trains to New Delhi, Jammu Tavi, Patna, Jaisalmer, Jaipur & Lucknow for the benefit of passengers.

Mumbai Central–New Delhi Bi-Weekly AC Superfast special train (16 Services)
Train no 09003 Mumbai Central-New Delhi Bi-Weekly AC Superfast special train will depart from Mumbai Central at 19.45 hrs on every Tuesday & Saturday and reach New Delhi at 17.35 hrs on the next day. This train is extended upto 28th December, 2013. Similarly, Train no 09004 New Delhi-Mumbai Central Bi-Weekly AC Superfast special train will depart from New Delhi at 23.40 hrs on every Wednesday & Sunday and reach Mumbai Central at 21.15 hrs on the next day. This train is extended upto 29th December, 2013.

The train will halt at Borivali, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Hindaun City, Bharatpur & Mathura Jn stations o­n both the directions.

The train will have AC First Class, AC II Tier & AC III Tier Coaches.

This train is extended upto 29th December, 2013. Similarly, Train no 09006 New Delhi-Mumbai Central Bi-Weekly Rajdhani type AC Superfast special train will depart from New Delhi at 23.40 hrs on every Monday & Thursday and reach Mumbai Central at 21.15 hrs on the next day. This train is extended upto 30th December, 2013.

This train is extended upto 30th December, 2013. Similarly, Train No. 09022 Jammu Tavi - Bandra (T) Super Fast Weekly Special train will depart from Jammu Tavi at 07.25 hrs o­n every Wednesday and reach Bandra(T) at 16.35 hrs. o­n Thursday. This train is extended upto 01st January, 2014.

The train will halt at Borivali , Vapi, Surat , Bharuch, Vadodara, Dahod, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Hindaun City, Bharatpur, Mathura Jn, Tughlakabad, Delhi Safdarjung, Panipat, Ambala Cantt., Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt. and Pathankot Cantt.in both directions.

The train will have AC II Tier, AC III tier, Sleeper Class and General II class coaches.

Bandra (T) –PatnaWeekly Super Fast Special train(10 services)
Train No. 09011 Bandra (T) – Patna (Weekly) Superfast Special train will depart from Bandra (T) at 05.10 hrs o­n every Sunday and reach Patna Jn at 16.00 hrs. the next day. This train is extended upto 29th December, 2013. To cater to the transport needs of the residents of Kashmir region during the ensuing chill winter period, Northern Railway  has decided to run one pair of 04612/04611 DEMU Special Trains between Budgam – Banihal from 25.11.2013 to 31.01.2014 in both directions as per the following programme:

The 04612 Budgam-Banihal DEMU Special train shall  depart from Budgam o­n all days of the week except Sunday at 06.05 a.m.  to reach Banihal at  07.55 a.m. the same day. In the return direction, the 04611 Banihal-Budgam DEMU Special train shall depart from Banihal o­n all days of the week except Sunday at 08.15 a.m.  to reach Budgam at  10.15 a.m. the same day

Consisting of six car- coaches powered by two driving cars, the 04612/04611 DEMU Special Train will stop at Sringar, Pampora, Kakapora, Awantipora, Panjam, Bijbiara, Anantnag, Sadura, Quazigund and Hillar Shahabad Halt  stations enroute in both directions.

WINTER SPECIAL TRAINS

The following special trains will be run between Bangalore and Villupuram in order to clear the extra rush of passengers during the Winter season.

T.No. 06541 Bangalore City – Villupuram special will leave Bangalore City at 23.00 hrs on 31.12.2011 & 07.01.2012 (Saturdays) and arrive Villupuram at 09.30 hrs. next day.T.No. 06542 Villupuram – Bangalore City Special will leave Villupuram at 16.30 hrs. on 01.01.2012 & 08.01.2012 (Sundays) and arrive Bangalore City at 04.00 hrs. the next day.The composition of the trains will be 5 Sleeper Class, 13 General Second Class & 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.The trains will stop at Bangalore Cantt, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, Chennai Egmore, Tambaram, Changalpattu and Melmaruvathur.
