ECoR TO RUN SUMMER SPECIAL TRAINS

With a view to clearing additional rush of passengers during Summer Season 2015, East Coast Railway has decided to run 07 pairs of weekly & bi-weekly summer special trains towards different destinations of the country from its jurisdiction by creating more than one lakh thirty thousand additional berths.

These trains are Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Cant. Bi-weekly Super Fast PREMIUM,Bhubaneswar-Pune weekly Super Fast PREMIUM, Bhubaneswar-Patna Weekly Special, Puri-Santragachi Weekly Special, Sambalpur-Yesvantpur Weekly Special, Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Weekly Special and Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Weekly Special trains.

00851 Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Cant bi-weekly PREMIUM Special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 2250hrs o­n every Saturday & Wednesday and will reach at Bangalore Cant at 2240hrs o­n the next between 1st April to 27th June 2015. In the return direction, 00852 Bangalore Cant-Bhubaneswar bi-Weekly PREMIUM Special train will leave Bangalore Cant at 0100hrs o­n every Monday & Friday (just after midnight of Sunday & Thursday) and will arrive at Bhubaneswar at 0145hrs o­n the following days between 3rd April to 29th June 2015.

This train has O­ne AC-2 tier, Four AC-3 tiers, 11 Sleeper Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and O­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Renigunta and Jolarpettai between Bhubaneswar and Bangalore Cant from both the directions.

02882 Bhubaneswar-Pune Weekly PREMIUM Special train will leave Bhubaneswar at2215hrs o­n every Sunday and will reach Pune at 0​500hrs o­n Tuesday between 5th April to 28th June 2015. In the return direction, 02881 Pune-Bhubaneswar Weekly PREMIUM Special train will leave Pune at 1115hrs o­n every Tuesday and will arrive Bhubaneswar at 1735hrs o­nWednesdays between 7th April to 30th June 2015.

This train has O­ne AC-2 tier, O­ne AC-3 tier, 10 Sleeper Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and O­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Secunderabad and Solapur between Bhubaneswar and Pune from both the directions.

08449 Bhubaneswar-Patna weekly special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 1530hrs o­n every Friday and will reach Patna at 1140hrs o­n Saturdays between 3rd April to 26th June 2015. In the return direction, 08450 Patna-Bhubaneswar weekly special train will leave Patna at1400hrs o­n every Saturday and will arrive Bhubaneswar at 0700hrs o­n Sundays between 4thApril to 27th June 2015.

This train has O­ne AC-2 tier, O­ne AC-3 tier, 10 Sleeper Class Coaches, Four General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Cuttack, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, Hijli, Adra, Asansol, Chittaranjan, Jasidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Makama and Fathuha between Bhubaneswar and Patna from both the directions.

08401 Puri-Santragachi weekly special train will leave Puri at 2125hrs on every Fridayand will arrive at Santragachi at 0630hrs on the following days between 3rd April to 26th June2015. In the return directions, 08402 Santragachi-Puri Express will leave Santragachi at1900hrs on every Saturday and will reach Puri at 0400hrs on the next days between 4th April to 27th June 2015.

This train has o­ne AC-2 tiers, o­ne AC-3 tier, Nine Sleeper Class Coaches, Four General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur between Puri & Santragachi.

08301 Sambalpur-Yesvantpur Special train will leave Sambalpur at 0850hrs o­n everyWednesday between 1st April to 24th June 2015 and will arrive at Yesvanpur at 1630hrs o­n the next days. In the return direction, 08302 Yesvantpur-Sambalpur Special train will leave Yesvantpur at 0030hrs o­n every Friday (Midnight of Thursday) between 3rd April to 26thJune 2015 and will arrive Sambalpur at 0615hrs o­n the Saturdays.

This train will run with o­ne AC-2 tier, o­ne AC-3 tier, 10 Sleeper Class Coaches, Three General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Bargarh Road, Balangir, Titilagarh, Kesinga, Muniguda, Rayagada, Parvatipuram, Bibbili, Vizianagaram & Visakhapatnam in East Coast Railway jurisdiction between Sambalpur & Yesvantpur.

08501 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Express will leave Visakhapatnam at 2300hrs o­n every Tuesday between 7th April to 30th June 2015 and will arrive at Secunderabad at 1145hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 08502 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam weekly Express will leave Secunderabad at 1630hrs o­n every Wednesday between 8th April to 1st July 2015 and will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 0630hrs o­n the next days.

This train will run with o­ne AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, Nine Sleeper Class Coaches, Six General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Elluru, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal and Kazipet between Visakhapatnam & Secunderabad.

02873 Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Express will leave Visakhapatnam at 1645hrs o­n every Monday between 6th April to 29th June 2015 and will arrive at Tirupati at 0430hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 02874 Tirupati-Visakhapatnam weekly Express will leave Tirupati at 1600hrs o­n every Tuesday between 7th April to 30th June 2015 and will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 0515hrs o­n the next days.

This train will run with o­ne AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, Nine Sleeper Class Coaches, Six General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Renigunta between Visakhapatnam & Tirupati.

            Apart from this, a number of Special Trains have been planned to ply between different destinations of the country through East Coast Railway jurisdiction during Summer and will also create more berths from ECoR. These apart, important regular trains have been planned to be augmented with additional coaches during the period by creating additional berths.​

DUSSEHRA SPECIAL TRAINS

In view of heavy rush during Dussehra Holidays and to avoid rush in different regular trains towards Mysore, Ministry of Railways has decided to run Special trains through East Coast Railway jurisdiction with an aim to provide comfortable journey to the commuters for world famous Dussehra Festival at Mysore. Passengers may avail the facility of the Special trains towards Mysore and other destinations en-route during the Puja rush time.

SANTRAGACHHI-MYSORE:

02683 Mysore-Santragachhi (Kolkata) Dussehra Special Train will leave Mysore at 0600hrs o­n every Wednesday between 24th September to 29th October 2014 and will arrive at Santragachhi at 1545hrs o­n the next day. In the return direction, 02684 Santragachhi-Mysore Special train will leave Santragachhi at 0550hrs o­n every Friday between 26th September to 31st October 2014 and will arrive at Mysore at 1645hrs o­n Saturdays.

This train has o­ne AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, 12 Sleeper Class coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Bhubaneswar, Duvvada, Vijayawada, Gudur, Jolarpettai and Bangalore City between Santragachhi & Mysore.

Apart from this, passengers may board the Yesvantpur, Bangalore Cant and Chennai bound trains from & through East Coast Railway jurisdiction, where they can easily access to board the connecting trains towards Mysore.

BHUBANESWAR-BANGALORE CANT PREMIUM:

00851 Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Cant Premium Special train is leaving Bhubaneswar at 2250hrs o­n every Saturday & Wednesday till 22nd October 2014 and arriving at Bangalore Cant at 2120hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 00852 Bangalore Cant-Bhubaneswar Premium Special train is leaving Bangalore Cant at 2350hrs o­n every Sunday & Thursday till 23rd October 2014 and arriving at Bhubaneswar at 2315hrs o­n next days.

This train has o­ne AC-2 tier, Four AC-3 tiers, 11 Sleeper Class coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Renigunta & Jolarpetai between Bhubaneswar & Bangalore cant.

SAMBALPUR-YESVANTPUR:

08301 Sambalpur-Yesvantpur Special train will leave Sambalpur at 0850hrs o­n every Wednesday between 1st October to 24th December 2014 and will arrive at Yesvantpur at 1630hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 08302 Yesvantpur-Sambalpur Special train will leave Yesvantpur at 0030hrs o­n every Friday (Midnight of Thursday) between 3rd October to 26th December 2014 and will arrive at Sambalpur at 0615hrs o­n Saturdays.

This train has o­ne AC-2 tier, o­ne AC-3 tier, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, Three General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Bargarh Road, Bolangir, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Muniguda, Rayagada, Parbatipuram, Bobbili, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam in ECoR jurisdiction between Sambalpur & Yesvantpur.

HOWRAH-YESVANTPUR AC PREMIUM:

02863 Howrah-Yesvantpur AC Premium Special train is leaving Howrah at 1100hrs o­n every Monday till 29th December 2014 and arriving at Yesvantpur at 1600hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 02864 Yesvantpur-Howrah AC Premium Special train is leaving Yesvantpur at 1115hrs o­n every Wednesday till 31st December 2014 and arriving at Howrah at 1600hrs o­n next days.

This train has Three AC-2 tiers, Eight AC-3 tiers, Two Guard cum Generator Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Bhubaneswar, Duvvada, Vijayawada, Renigunta and Katpadi between Howrah & Yesvantpur.

HOWRAH-CHENNAI AC PREMIUM:

02841 Howrah-Chennai AC Premium Special train will leave Howrah at 1240hrs o­n every Friday between 26th September to 28th November 2014 and will arrive at Chennai at 1425hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 02842 Chennai-Howrah AC Premium Special train will leave Chennai at 1710hrs o­n every Saturday between 27th September to 29th November 2014 and will arrive at Howrah at 1830hrs o­n next days.

This train has Three AC-2 tiers, Eight AC-3 tiers, Two Guard cum Generator Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar, Duvvada and Vijayawada between Howrah & Chennai.                                                  

SANTRAGACHHI-CHENNAI JAN SADHARAN:

02807 Santragachhi (Kolkata)-Chennai bi-weekly Jansadharan Special train will leave Santragachhi at 1900hrs o­n every Monday and Thursday between 18th September to 13th November 2014 and will arrive at Chennai at 2245hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 02808 Chennai-Santragachhi bi-weekly Jansadharan Special train will leave Chennai at 0745hrs o­n every Wednesday and Saturday between 20th September to 15thNovember 2014 and will arrive at Santragachhi at 1025hrs o­n next days.

           This train has 16 general Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam & Duvvada in ECoR jurisdiction between Howrah & Chennai.​

NEW RAILWAY TIME TABLE OF EAST COAST RAILWAY

MAJOR CHANGES IN TIMINGS with effect from 1st September 2014:

The timings of nine numbers of trains have been changed and are different from the earlier earlier time at different stations in East Coast Railway jurisdiction WITH EFFECT FROM 1st September 2014.

18301 Sambalpur-Rayagada Express will leave Sambalpur at 0600 hrs instead of its present earlier timings at 0630 hrs and will arrive at Rayagada at 1300 hrs. The timings for this train at Bargarh, Balangir and Titlagarh have also been changed.

18304 Puri-Sambalpur Inter City Express will leave Puri at 1520hrs instead of 1525hrs and will arrive at Sambalpur at 2210hrs. The timings for this train at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Dhenkanal and Angul have also been changed.

58301 Sambalpur-Koraput passenger will leave Sambalpur at 0715hrs and will arrive at Koraput at 2330hrs instead of its earlier timings. The timings for this train at Bargarh, Balangir, Titlagarh and Rayagada have been changed.

58422 Puri-Angul passenger will leave Puri at 1550hrs and will arrive at Angul at 2140hrs instead of earlier timings. The timings for this train at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar & Dhenkanal have also been changed.

58414 Puri-Talcher passenger will leave Puri at 1615hrs and will arrive at Talcher at 2225hrs instead of its earlier timings. The timings for this train at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack & Dhenkanal have also been changed.

58416 Puri-Cuttack passenger will leave Puri at 0800hrs and will arrive at Cuttack at 1105hrs instead of earlier timings. The timings for this train at Sakshigopal, Khurda Road and Bhubaneswar have also been changed.

58417 Puri-Gunupur passenger will leave Puri at 0800hrs and will arrive at Gunupur at 1945hrs instead of earlier timings. The timings for this train at Sakshigopal and Khurda Road have also been changed.

18567 Visakhapatnam-Kollam Express will leave Visakhapatnam at 0830hrs and will leave Duvvada at 0900hs instead of its earlier timings over East Coast Railway jurisdiction from 1st September.

22203 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Duronto Express will leave Visakhapatnam at 2015hrs and will arrive at Secunderabad at 0615hs o­n the next day instead of its earlier timings from 1st September.

NEW TRAINS:

13 new trains have been placed in the new Time table and the introduction of these new trains will be notified in due course. These trains are Visakhapatnam-Chennai Central Weekly Super Fast Express,Visakhapatnam-Paradeep weekly Super fast Express, Paradeep-Santragachhi weekly Super Fast Express,Gandhidham-Puri weekly Express via Vizianagaram & Titlagarh, Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad AC weeklySuper Fast Express, Howrah-Yesvantpur AC weekly S/F Express, Tata Nagar- Baiyyapanahali weekly Express via Jharsuguda, Titlagarh, Rayagada & Visakhapatnam, Kamakhya- Baiyyapanahali weekly Premium via Howrah & Bhubaneswar, Howrah-Chennai AC weekly Premium, Kamakhya-Chennai weekly Premium,Sambalpur-Bhawanipatna daily passenger via Titlagarh, Visakhapatnam-Gunupur daily passenger via Nawapara and Rourkela-Sambalpur daily passenger except Sunday.​

FREQUENCY OF PREMIUM SUPER FAST SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN BHUBANESWAR & BANGALORE INCREASED FROM WEEKLY TO BI-WEEKLY

With an aim to provide comfortable journey to the commuters and to avoid rush in different regular trains, East Coast Railway has decided to increase the frequency of weekly Premium Super Fast Special Train between Bhubaneswar and Bangalore to bi-weekly. The services of this train has been increased till 23rd October 2014. The destination of this train has also been changed to Bangalore Cant instead of Yesvantpur and the timings have been revised w.e.f. 9th August 2014.

00851 Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Cant bi-weekly Premium Super Fast Special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 2250hrs. o­n every Wednesday and Saturday between 9th August to 22nd October 2014 and will arrive at Bangalore Cant at 2120hrs o­n Thursdays & Sundays. In the return direction, 00852 Bangalore Cant-Bhubaneswar bi-weekly Premium Super Fast Special will leave Bangalore Cant at 2350hrs o­n every Thursday & Sunday between 10th August to 23rd October 2014 and will arrive at Bhubaneswar at 2315hrs o­n Fridays & Mondays during the period.

This train will run with o­ne AC-2 tier, Four AC-3 tiers, Eleven Sleeper Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Renigunta and Jolarpetai between Bhubaneswar & Bangalore Cant.

SPECIAL RATH YATRA TRAIN FROM BHAWANIPATNA VIA BALANGIR & SAMBALPUR

The specialty of this year’s Rath Yatra Special trains announced by East Coast Railway is the addition of new point “Bhawanipatna” from where a special train to Puri would be run for Gundicha Yatra.

This train will start from Bhawanipatna at 0830hrs of 28th June 2014 and reach Puri at 0330 hrs o­n 29th June 2014. It is planned to run this train via Titlagarh- Balangir- Sambalpur- Angul with stoppages at all en route stations. ECoR’s decision to introduce a special train from Bhawanipatna this year has been widely welcomed.

Further, it may be mentioned that special Gundicha Rath Yatra trains to Puri are being run from Howrah, Visakhapatnam, Palasa, Kharagpur, Kendujhargarh, Bhadrak, Sambalpur, Brahmapur, Paradeep and Cuttack.

All the special trains provided by ECoR are excluding the regular trains running during the period and this year, ECoR connects almost all parts of Odisha including important stations of neighboring states i.e. West Bengal & Andhra Pradesh. The regular trains from other neighboring states like Chhatisgarh and Jharkhand are also arriving at the morning at Puri daily.

ECoR TO EXTEND THE SERVICES OF SPECIAL TRAINS

To clear wait listed passengers and to provide comfortable journey to the passengers, East Coast Railway has decided to extend the services of Bhubaneswar-Yesvantpur premium special trains upto last week of August 2014 and Sambalpur-Yesvantpur, Puri-Santragachhi and Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad special trains up to last week of September 2014. This has been done keeping in mind the positive response and feedback from rail-users and media.

00851/00852 Bhubaneswar-Yesvantpur-Bhubaneswar Premium weekly Special Train leaving Bhubaneswar o­n every Wednesday at 2300 hrs towards Yesvantpur and leaving Yesvantpur on every Thursday at 2335 hrs towards Bhubaneswar will run upto 28th August 2014 during the period.

08301/08302 Sambalpur-Yesvantpur-Sambalpur weekly Special Train leaving Sambalpur o­n every Wednesday at 0850hrs towards Yesvantpur and leaving Yesvantpur on every Friday at 0030 hrs (Mid night of Thursday)towards Sambalpur will run upto 26th September 2014 during the period.

08401/08402 Puri-Santragachhi-Puri weekly Special Train leaving Puri o­n every Friday at 2125 hrs towards Santragachhi and leaving Santragachhi on every Saturday at 1900 hrs towards Puri will run upto 27th September 2014 during the period.

08501/08502 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam weeklySpecial Train leaving Visakhapatnam o­n every Tuesday at 2300 hrs towards Secunderabad and leaving Secunderabad on every Wednesday at 1630 hrs towards Visakhapatnam will run upto 1st October 2014 during the period.

Another weekly 08503/08504 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Special Train leaving Visakhapatnam o­n every Monday at 1905 hrs towards Secunderabad and leaving Secunderabad on every Tuesday at 1630 hrs towards Visakhapatnam will run upto 30th September 2014 during the period.

PREMIUM TRAIN BY ECoR TO NEW DELHI

To clear wait listed tickets and for providing comfortable journey to the passengers, East Coast Railway has decided to run a weekly Premium Special Train between Bhubaneswar & New Delhi.

00815 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi weekly Premium Super Fast Special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 0810hrs o­n every Sunday between 6th July to 31stAugust 2014 and will arrive at New Delhi at 0845hrs o­n Mondays. In the return Direction, 00816 New Delhi-Bhubaneswar weekly Premium Super Fast Special will leave New Delhi at 1300hrs o­n every Monday between 7th July to 1stSeptember 2014 and will arrive at Bhubaneswar at 1105hrs o­n Tuesdays during the period.

This train will run with o­ne AC-2 tier, Four AC-3 tiers, Eleven Sleeper Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Cuttack, Adra, Gaya, Allahabad & Kanpur between Bhubaneswar & New Delhi.

Apart from this, it has been decided torun o­ne more weekly Premium Special Train between New Jalpaigudi & Tiruchchirappalli having stoppages atBhadrak, Bhubaneswar and Duvvada in East Coast Railway jurisdiction.

           02508 New Jalpaiguri-Tiruchchirappalli weekly Premium Super Fast Special train will leave New Jalpaiguri at 2200hrs o­n every Monday between 23rdJune to 7thJuly 2014 (will pass Bhubaneswar o­n Tuesday) and will arrive at Tiruchchirappalli at 2040hrs o­n Wednesdays. In the return Direction, 02507 Tiruchchirappalli-New Jalpaiguri weekly Premium Super Fast Special will leave Tiruchchirappalli at 0600hrs o­n every Thursday between 26thJune to 10thJuly 2014 (will pass Bhubaneswar o­n Friday) and will arrive at New Jalpaiguri at 0325hrs o­n Saturdays during the period.

          This train will run with Two AC-3 tiers, Twelve Sleeper Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Asansol, Vijayawada, Gudur, Chennai Egmore and Villupuram between New Jalpaiguri and Tiruchchirappalli apart from the stoppages in ECoR jurisdiction.​

PREMIUM SUPER FAST SPECIAL TRAINS TOWARDS YESVANTPUR FROM BHUBANESWAR

With an aim to provide comfortable journey to the commuters during Summer and to avoid rush in different regular trains, East Coast Railway has decided to run a weekly Premium Super Fast Special Train between Bhubaneswar and Yesvantpur from mid April to June 2014.

02845 Bhubaneswar-Yesvantpur weekly Premium Super Fast Special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 1200hrs (noon) o­n every Wednesday between 16th April to 25th June 2014 and will arrive at Yesvantpur at 1100hrs o­n Thursdays. In the return Direction, 02846 Yesvantpur-Bhubaneswar weekly Premium Super Fast Special will leave Yesvantpur at 2300hrs o­n every Thursday between 17th April to 26th June 2014 and will arrive at Bhubaneswar at 2245hrs o­n Fridays during the period.

This train will run with o­ne AC-2 tier, Four AC-3 tiers, Eleven Sleeper Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Nellore, Renigunta and Jolarpetai between Bhubaneswar & Yesvantpur.

Apart from this, ECoR has also decided to augment additional AC coaches permanently in different important trains towards different destinations of the country from its jurisdiction according to the feasibility and demands from the passengers. Based o­n an analysis of the Passenger Traffic Profile o­n various routes, permanent augmentation of coaches in Mail/Express trains is being done by attaching more coaches.

22882/22881 Bhubaneswar-Pune-Bhubaneswar  Express and 22871/22872 Bhubaneswar-Tirupati-Bhubaneswar Express will be augmented with o­ne additional composite coach of both AC-2 & AC-3 tier coach each permanently w.e.f 1st April & 6thApril 2014 from Bhubaneswar.

18419/18420 Puri-Darbhanga-Jaynagar-Puri Express and 22827/22828 Puri-Surat-Puri Express will be augmented with o­ne composite coach of both AC First & AC-3 tier coach each permanently w.e.f. 3rd April and 6th April 2014 respectively from Puri.

Similarly, 18463/18464 Bhubaneswar-Bangalore-Bhubaneswar Prashanti Express, 12819/12820 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Odisha Sampark Kranti Express,  12880/12879 Bhubaneswar-LTT-Bhubaneswar bi-weekly Express and 22879/22880 Bhubaneswar-Tirupati-Bhubaneswar Express will be augmented with o­ne AC-3 tier coach each permanently w.e.f. 15th April 2014 o­nwards.

East coast Railway (ECOR) has advised running of a Weekly Express Special Trains between SAMBALPUR-YESVANTPUR-SAMBALPUR (Tr. Nos.08301/08302) Stations for 13 more trips in each direction, as per the following timings, stoppages and dates of services.

ADDITIONAL AC 3-TIER COACH FOR BHUBANESWAR-BANGALORE CITY EXPRESS

East coast Railway(ECOR) has decided to augment permanently with o­ne additional A.C. 3-tier Coach for Train Nos.18463/18464 BHUBANESWAR-BANGALORE CITY-YESVANTPUR EXPRESS, as per the following details:--

Accordingly, Train No.18463 BHUBANESWAR-YESVANTPUR EXPRESS will be attached with one additional A.C. 3-tier coach permanently, from BHUBANESWAR end, from 15th April, 2014 ­onwards (Total coaches after augmentation : 23 coaches instead of 22 as at present).

             In the return direction, Tr. No.18464 YESVANTPUR-BHUBANESWAR EXPRESSwill be attached with one additional A.C. 3-tier coach permanently from YESVANTPUR end, from 16th April, 2014 onwards.( Total coaches after augmentation : 23 coaches instead of 22 as at present).

The revised composition after augmentation with o­ne additional AC 3-tier coach for the above Express,will have total 23 coaches, consisting of One AC 2-tier coach, Four AC 3-tier coaches, Eleven Second Class Sleeper coaches, Four General Second Class coaches, o­ne Second Class cum Luggage cum Brake Van, One Second Class luggage-cum-brake van-cum-disabled coach and a Pantry Car.

PURI-SANTRAGACHHI AND SAMBALPUR-YESVANTPUR SUMMER SPECIAL TRAINS

With an aim to provide comfortable journey to the commuters and to avoid rush in different regular trains, East Coast Railway has decided to run weekly Summer Special Trains between Puri-Santragachi and Sambalpur-Yesvantpur.

 08401 Puri-Santragachhi Special train will leave Puri at 2125 hrs on every Friday between 4th April to 27th June 2014 and will arrive at Santragachhi at 0630 hrs on the next days. In the return direction, 08402 Santragachhi-Puri Special train will leave Santragachhi at 1900 hrs on every Saturday between 5th April to 28th June 2014 and will arrive Puri at 0400 hrs on the following days.

This train will run with one AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, 09 Sleeper Class Coaches, Four General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur between Puri & Santragachhi.

Similarly, 08301 Sambalpur-Yesvantpur Special train will leave Sambalpur at 0850 hrs on every Wednesday between 2nd April to 25th June 2014 and will arrive at Yesvanpur at 1630 hrs on the next days. In the return direction, 08302 Yesvantpur-Sambalpur Special train will leave Yesvantpur at 0030 hrs on every Friday (Midnight of Thursday) between 4th April to 27th June 2014 and will arrive Sambalpur at 0615 hrs on the Saturdays.

This train will run with one AC-2 tier, one AC-3 tier, 10 Sleeper Class Coaches, Three General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Bargarh Road, Balangir, Titilagarh, Kesinga, Muniguda, Parvatipuram, Bibbili, Vizianagaram & Visakhapatnam in East Coast Railway jurisdiction between Sambalpur & Yesvantpur.

BHUBANESWAR-BHAWANIPATNA EXPRESS TO BE EXTENDED TO JUNAGARH

East Coast Railway has decided to extended the services of 18437/18438 Bhubaneswar-Bhawanipatna -Bhubaneswar Express to Junagarh from 2nd March 2014.

18437 Bhubaneswar-Bhawanipatna express leaving Bhubaneswar at 1935 hrs and arriving Bhawanipatna at 0820 hrs on the next day will leave at 0825 hrs towards Junagarh and will arrive at 0915 hrs w.e.f. 3rd March 2014.

In the return direction, 18438 Junagarh-Bhawanipatna-Bhubaneswar Express will leave Junagarh at 1815 hrs and will arrive at Bhubaneswar on its scheduled timings and stoppages.

The extended portion of the train will commence from Junagarh w.e.f. 2nd March 2014.

Augmentation of AC 3- Tier Coach by ECoR

With a view to avoiding rush in regular trains and to provide comfortable journey to the passengers, East Coast Railway has decided to increase the composition of Visakhapatnam-Amritsar Hirakud Express permanently with immediate effect.

18507/18508   Visakhapatnam-Amritsar-Visakhapatnam Hirakud Express via Bhubaneswar & Sambalpur will be augmented with o­ne AC 3 Tier Coach permanently with immediate effect from both the directions. Now the train will run with o­ne AC-2 tier coach, Two AC-3 tier Coaches, 10 Sleeper Class Coaches, Five General Second Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and one Pantry Car in it’s composition.

Similarly, 12807 Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam Samata Express via Rayagada & Titlagarh will also be augmented with o­ne AC 3 Tier Coach permanently with immediate effect from both the directions. Now the train will run with o­ne AC-2 tier coach, Two AC-3 tier Coaches, Nine Sleeper Class Coaches, Three General Second Class Coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and one Pantry Car in it’s composition.

Apart from this, Railways have also decided to augment one AC-3 tier coach each permanently in 18509/18510 Visakhapatnam-Nanded-Visakhapatnam Express and Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam Express with immediate effect.

NEW TRAINS TOWARDS TATA & KOLLAM FROM VISAKHAPATNAM

As announced in last Railway Budget for running of weekly Express trains towards Tata & Kollam from Visakhapatnam, Ministry of Railways has decided to introduce Visakhapatnam-Tata weekly express via Brahmapur-Bhubaneswar & Kendujhargarh w.e.f. 5th January 2014 and Visakhapatnam-Kollam weekly Express w.e.f. 30th January 2014 from Visakhapatnam.

18516 Visakhapatnam-Tata weekly Express via Brahmapur-Bhubaneswar-Kendujhargarh will leave Visakhapatnam at 1745 hrs on every Sunday and will arrive at Tata at 1045 hrs on every Monday. In the return direction, 18515 Tata-Visakhapatnam weekly Express will leave Tata at 1300 hrs on every Monday and will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 0440 hrs on every Tuesday.

This train has One AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, Nine Sleeper Class Coaches, Six General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Simhachalam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Palasa, Sompeta, Ichhapuram, Brahmapur, Chhatrapur, Balugaon, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Mancheswar, Cuttackm Jakhapura, Sukinda Road, Harichandanpur, Kendujhargarh, Nayagarh, Bangiriposi, Dongaposi, Chaibasa and Rajkharasuan between Visakhapatnam & Tata.


18567 Visakhapatnam-Kollam weekly Express will leave Visakhapatnam at 0900 hrs on every Thursday and will arrive at Kollam at 1410 hrs on every Friday. In the return direction, 18568 Kollam-Visakhapatnam weekly Express will leave Kollam at 2100 hrs on every Friday and will arrive at Visakhapatnam at 0135 hrs on every Sunday (after midnight of Saturday).

This train has One AC-2 tier, Three AC-3 tiers, Nine Sleeper Class Coaches, Six General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Duvvada, Yellmancheli, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijaywada, Tenali, Baptala, o­ngole, Nelore, Gudur, Reniguntha, Katpadi, Jollarpetai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbator, Palakkad, Thrisur, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Chengannur and Kayanakulam between Visakhapatnam & Kollam.
