FESTIVAL SPECIAL TRAINS


Central Railway will run 1 Special train from Velakanni - Dadar (Terminus) and 1 special train from Dadar (Terminus) - Chennai Central to clear the extra rush of Passengers during Velankani Festival. The details are as under -

Central Railway has decided to run 4 additional special trains between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai and Madgaon to clear the extra rush of Passengers during Ganpati Festival. The details are as under -

01201 Dn Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai at 00.30 hrs o­n 28.8.2011 and 30.8.2011 (2 trips) and will reach Madgaon at 15.30 hrs same day. 01202 Up Special will leave Madgaon at 16.00 hrs o­n 28.8.2011 and 30.8.2011 (2 trips) and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai at 07.40 hrs next day. While in the return direction the 05282 Adarshnagar Delhi-Barauni weekly special train will depart from Adarshnagar Delhi on every Friday on 16/9, 23/9, 30/9, 7/10, 14/10, 21/10, 28/10, 4/11, 11/11, 18/11 and 25.11.2011 (11 trips) at 3.40 p.m. to reach Barauni at3.45 p.m. the next day. RESCHEDULING OF T.NO. 01034 VELANKANNI – LOKMANYA TILAK (T) SPECIAL

T.No. 01034 Velankanni – Lokmanya Tilak (T) special that will be operated to clear extra rush of pilgrims during Velankanni festival and scheduled to leave Velankanni at 20.30 hours on 29.08.2011 is rescheduled to leave at 21.30 hours on 29.08.2011 to enable the pilgrims leaving after the commencement of the festival.

As announced by the Hon’ble Minister for Railways in the Railway Budget 2011-12, new weekly train services will be introduced between Vasco-da-gama - Velankanni w.e.f. 26.8.2011 from Vasco-da-gama and 27.8.2011 from Velankanni.

The inaugural special of Vasco-da-gama – Velankanni Express (T.No.06901) will leave Vasco-da-gama at 19.00 hrs. on 26.8.2011 and arrive Velankanni at 22.30 hrs. the next day. The inaugural special of Velankanni – Vasco-da-gama Express (T.No.06902) will leave Velankanni at 23.45 hrs. on 27.8.2011 and arrive Vasco-da-gama at 05.00 hrs. on 29.8.2011. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 9 Sleeper Class, 5 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. CLARIFICATION ON TERMINATION OF TRAINS AT TAMBARAM

There have been news items featuring in the vernacular press regarding proposals of Southern Railway to stop the existing train services on south BG section at Tambaram.It is hereby clarified that there is no proposal to shift the handling of the existing train services at Chennai Egmore to the forthcoming coaching terminal at Tambaram.Tambaram coaching terminal is being constructed by Southern Railway to take care of the future coaching requirements on the Chennai Egmore – Tirunelveli – Nagercoil sector.

While in the return direction the 04206 New Delhi – Lucknow special train will depart from New Delhi on 23.8.11(1 trip) at 11.55 p.m to reach Lucknow at 9.45 a.m the next day. Railways have decided to run weekly special trains between Mumbai and Howrah to clear the extra rush of Passengers during the festivals. The details are as under -

03061 Weekly Special will leave Howrah at 08.20 hrs o­n every Tuesday from 20.9.2011 to 15.11.2011 (9 trips) and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 23.50 hrs next day. 03062 Weekly Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 12.30 hrs o­n every Thursday from 22.9.2011 to 17.11.2011 (9 trips) and will reach Howrah at 06.00 hrs o­n third day. Halts: Dadar, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsingpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Mirzapur, Mughalsarai, Sasaram, Dehri-on-sone, Gaya, Koderma, Parasnath, Dhanbad, Asansol, Durgapur, Bardhaman. AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS

AMBALA CANTT. TO HAVE LONGER STOPPAGE FOR DURG – JAMMU TAWI S.F. EXPRESS


Due to operational constraints, the timings of 12549/12550 Durg – Jammu Tawi Super Fast Express train at Ambala Cantt. station would be revised effective from 22.8.11 as per the programme:

The 12549 Durg – Jammu Tawi S.F. Express will arrive at Ambala Cantt station at 1.00 p.m(noon) as per schedule and under the revised timing it will now depart at 1.15 p.m instead of 1.10 p.m. While in the return direction the 12550 Jammu Tawi – Durg S.F.Express will now arrive at Ambala Cantt. at 11.40 a.m as per revised timings instead of scheduled time of 11.45 a.m. After stoppage of 10 minutes the S.F.Express will depart at 11.50 a.m as per the existing timings for its onward journey.The departure/arrival timings from its origination/destination would remain the same in both the directions.

SPECIAL TRAINS FOR VELANKANNI FESTIVAL

EXTENSION OF DELHI-RATANGARH SPECIAL UPTO BIKANER


In order to clear extra rush of passengers, Railways have decided to extend the run of 04043/04044 Delhi-Ratangarh-Delhi special train to and from Bikaner with existing composition with immediate effect upto 15.9.2011. Further the special train has been provided with an additional 2 minuteshalt at Rajaldesar in both the directions. Schedule of the special train between Delhi-Bikaner will be as under:-

The train no. 04043 Delhi-Bikaner (daily) special train will depart from Delhi Jn. at 05.00 a.m. and will arrive at Rajaldesar at 10.44 a.m and will depart at 10.46 a.m to reach Bikaner at 12.45 p.m. (noon) the same day. While in the return direction the train no. 04044 Bikaner-Delhi Jn. special (daily) will depart from Bikaner at 2.10 p.m. and will arrive at Rajaldesar at 3.39 p.m and after stopping for 2 minutes it will depart at 3.41 p.m to reach Delhi Jn. at 10.05 p.m. the same day. The other stoppages of this special train include Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Delhi Cantt, Gurgaon, Rewari, Mahendergarh,Loharu, Sadulpur, Churu, Ratangarh and Sridungargarh stations enroute in both the directions.

In order to clear extra rush of passengers, Railways have decided to run a special train no. 03123/03124 between Kolkata & Delhi as per the programme:

The 03123 Kolkata- Delhi special train will depart from Kolkata on 22/8 & 29.8.11(Monday -2 trips) at 12.15 p.m (noon) to reach Delhi at 11.55 a.m the next day. While in the return direction the 03124 Delhi –Kolkata special train will depart from Delhi on 23/8 & 30.8.11(Tuesday –2 trips) at 7.10 p.m to reach Kolkata at 5.20 p.m the next day. Consisting of One AC 2 Tier, One AC 3 Tier, Five Sleeper class, Four Second Class and Two Second cum Luggage Disabled Friendly coaches, the 03123/03124 Special train will stop at Asansol,Dhanbad,N.S.C.B.Gomoh, Koderma, Gaya,Dehri-on-Sone,Sasaram,Mughalsarai,Allahabadand Kanpur stations enroute in both the directions.

SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN H.NIZAMUDDIN AND PALWAL ON RAKSHA BANDHAN


In order to clear extra rush of commuters on Raksha Bandhan Festival, Northern Railway will run a special train no. 06412/06411 between Hazrat Nizamuddin-Palwal- Hazrat Nizamuddin on 13.08.2011 as per the following schedule:-
The train no. 06412 Hazrat Nizamuddin-Palwal special train will depart from Hazrat Nizamuddin at 11:15 on 13.8.11 to reach Palwal at 12:25 p.m. (noon) the same day. In the return direction train no. 06411 Palwal- Hazrat Nizamuddin special train will depart from Palwal at 2.00 p.m. on 13.8.11 to reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 3.15 p.m. the same day. The train will stop at Okhla, Tughlakabad, Faridabad, Faridabad Town, Ballabgarh & Asaoti stations enroute in the both directions.

Free Meals During Late Running Rajdhani/Shatabdi Trains


Railways have decided that whenever any Rajdhani/Shatabdi/Duronto Express trains are running late from its schedule time by more than two hours, meals would be provided, including packaged drinking water, free of cost as per the service timings to the passengers on-board of these trains irrespective of sector wise service provided for its normal run subject to practical feasibility.

This facility is only provided in all Rajdhani/Shatabdi/Duronto Express trains where catering charges are included in the ticket fare.

Installation of GPS Based Information System on Trains

Northern Railway has planned to provide Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) based Electronic Display Board and Voice Announcement System is one rake of New Delhi-Guwahati Express. It will provide real time information like speed of running train, name of next stopping station etc. to the passengers in coaches.

Eastern Railway has planned to install GPS based Passenger Information System in Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express. There is no provision for voice announcement in this system.

Research Design & Standard Organisation (RDSO) has also undertaken a GPS based Research & Development project where electronic display boards have been provided in 5 coaches of Kanpur-New Delhi Shatabadi to display real time train running information like speed of running train, name of next stopping station etc. There is no provision for voice announcement in the system.

The project in Northern Railway is targeted to be commissioned in financial year 2011-12 and that in Eastern Railway by 30.09.2011.

Enlistment of Private Agencies for E-Ticketing


At present, there are 68 private companies enlisted with Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) for e-ticketing and additionally there are 15 agencies from state government/public sectors also. Zone-wise enlistment is not done by IRCTC, however, the authorized companies/agencies have been permitted to appoint sub-agents across the country to enable a wider reach.

IRCTC levies a service charge of only Rs.10/- per e-ticket for Second/Sleeper class and Rs.20/- per e-ticket in case of all other classes (1AC, 2AC, 3AC, CC, 3E, FC) irrespective of the number of passengers booked on an e-ticket.

In case of tickets booked through IRCTC’s authorized agents an additional service charge of Rs.10/- per e-ticket in case of non-AC class (Second/Sleeper) class and Rs.20/- per ticket in respect of other classes (1AC, 2AC, 3AC, CC, 3E, FC) is levied. The money earned by IRCTC on account of share of service charge during 2010-11 is Rs.136/- crore (provisional).

Two mobile ticketing vans were commissioned in January 2010, one each at Kolkata and Delhi. 25 more mobile ticketing vans have been sanctioned. This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri K. H. Muniyappa in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha

Railways’ Computerized Reservation Centres


At present, 2415 computerized reservation centres have been commissioned by Railways at various stations and non-station locations across the country both in rural and urban areas. As per policy, this facility is provided where reservation related workload is 100 transactions per day, at stations, at district headquarters, important hill stations/tourist, pilgrimage centres and locations on basis of proposals received from public representatives and the Zonal Railways, which include rural locations also. At such locations the facility is provided by arranging space from state government, local bodies/panchayat samitis/post offices also.

IMPROVEMENT TO TERMINAL FACILITY AT KANNIYAKUMARI AND REGULATION OF TRAIN SERVICES


Works to improve terminal facilities and yard remodeling at Kanniyakumari are in progress. To facilitate the execution of the works related to signaling systems, there will be changes in the pattern of train operations as given under..
1.T.No. 56325 Nagercoil junction – Kanniyakumari passengerwill remaincancelled for the period of 15th to 30th August 2011.
2.T.No. 56321 Kanniyakumari – Tirunelveli Passenger will be partiallycancelled between Kanniyakumari- Nagercoil Junction for the period of 15th to 30th August 2011.
In addition to this, date wise changes in the pattern of operation of express trains are highlighted below.
On14th August 2011(Sunday)
1.T.No. 16381 Mumbai-Kanniyakumari Express will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil junction and Kanniyakumari. However passengers of the train reserved up to Kanniyakumari will be transshipped by Road.
On15th , 22nd and 29th August 2011(Mondays)
1.T.No. 12642 Nizamuddin -Kanniyakumari Express will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil junction and Kanniyakumari. Alternative arrangement will be made to transship passengers of the train reserved up to Kanniyakumari .
On17th and 24th August 2011(Wednesdays)
1.T.No. 12665 Howrah-Kanniyakumari Express will be partially cancelled between Nagercoil junction and Kanniyakumari. Alternative arrangement will be made to transshippassengers of the train reserved up to Kanniyakumari
2.T.No. 12641 Kanniyakumari- Nizamuddin Express will be partially cancelled between Kanniyakumari and Nagercoil junction. However passengers of the train will be transshipped by Road to Nagercoil.
On19th and 26th August 2011(Fridays)
1.T.No. 16317 Kanniyakumari- Jammutawi Himsagar Express will be partially cancelled between Kanniyakumari and Nagercoil junction. However passengers of the train will be transshipped to Nagercoil.
On 20th and 27thAugust 2011(Saturdays)
1.T.No. 12666 Kanniyakumari-Howrah Express will be partially cancelled between Kanniyakumari-. Nagercoil junction . Alternative arrangement will be made to transshippassengers of the train reserved up to Kanniyakumari.

AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS


For the convenience of rail passengers and to clear extra rush, Railways have decided to augment on permanent basis the passenger carrying capacity of train nos. 12317/12318 Sealdah – Amritsar Akal Takhat Express , 12331/12332 Howrah – Jammu Tawi Himgiri Express, 13019/13020 Howrah – Kathgodam Express , 13413/ 13414 & 13483/13484 Farakka Express by One additional Sleeper class coach each with immediate effect.
The 12237/12238 Varanasi – Jammu Tawi Express will be temporarily augmented by Two additional Sleeper class coaches with immediate effect upto 25.8.11 when departing from Varanasi and from 12.8.11 upto 26.8.11 when departing from Jammu Tawi.

SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN PURI & SHALIMAR


In view to clear wait listed passengers, it has been decided to run a special train between Shalimar & Puri.

08007/08008 Shalimar-Puri special train will leave Shalimar at 18.15hrs on 12th August (Friday) and will arrive at Puri at 03.20hrs on Saturday. In the return direction, this train will leave Puri at 23.35hrs on 15th August 2011(Monday) and will arrive at Shalimar at 09.30hrs on the next day. This train has Three AC-3tier, 10 Sleeper Classes, and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Santragachi, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khurda Road between Puri & Santragachi.

AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS


Central Railway has decided to augment following trains to clear the extra rush of passengers. The details are as under-
Train No. 12115 / 12116 CST Mumbai - Solapur - CST Mumbai Siddheshwar Express will be augmented by o­ne Sleeper class coach o­n 12.8.2011 Ex CST Mumbai and o­n 15.8.2011 Ex Solapur.
Train No. 11011 / 11012 CST Mumbai - Sri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Terminus (Kolhapur) - CST Mumbai Mahalakshmi Express will be augmented by o­ne Sleeper class coach o­n 12.8.2011 Ex CST Mumbai and o­n 15.8.2011 Ex Kolhapur.
Wait listed Passengers of above trains are requested to please note the augmentation and check their reservation status before commencement of journey.

BANDRA TERMINUS-INDORE SPECIAL TRAIN


To facilitate passengers and to clear extra rush, Western Railway has decided to run Special Train No. 09307/09308 between Bandra Terminus and Indore.
Train No.09307 Bandra Terminus-Indore Special Train will leave from Bandra Terminus on Tuesday, 16th August, 2011 at 12.05 hrs. reaching Indore at 3.30 hrs. on the next day. Similarly Train No. 09308Indore-Bandra Terminus Special Train will leave Indore on Monday, 15th August, 2011 at 17.30 hrs and arrive Bandra Terminus at 09.20 hrs on the next day. Enroute, the train will halt atBorivali, Surat,Vadodara, Dahod, Ratlam, Nagda, Ujjain and Dewas stations in both directions. The train will have AC 2-Tier, AC 3- Tier, sleeper class and II class General coaches.
Booking will be open from 12th August, 2011.

ONE TRIP OF SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN ALLAHABAD &NEW DELHI


For the convenience of rail passengers and to clear extra rush, Railways have decided to run one trip of Super Fast Special train no. 04111/04112 between Allahabad & New Delhi as per the programme:
 The 04111 Allahabad – New Delhi Superfast Special train will depart from Allahabad on 15.8.11(1 trip) at 9.45 p.m to arrive at New Delhi at 7.15 a.m the next day. While in the return direction the 04112 New Delhi – Allahabad Special will depart from New Delhi on 16.8.11(1 trip) at 8.15 a.m to reach Allahabad at 6.25 p.mthe same day. Consisting of One AC 2Tier, Two AC 3 Tier, Twelve Sleeper class, Four Second class and Two Second cum Luggage Van coaches, the 04111/04112 Super Fast Splecial train will stop at Fatehpur, Kanpur, Chipyana Buzurg and Ghaziabad stations enroute in both the directions.

TEMPORARY AUGMENTATION OF TRAIN

For the convenience of rail passengers and to clear extra rush, Railways have decided to temporarily augment the passenger carrying capacity of the 12823/12824 Durg – H.Nizamuddin Chattisgarh Sampark Kranti Express train by One additional Sleeper class coach on  13/8 and 15.8.11 (2 trips) when departing from Durg, and on 14/8 and 16.8.11 (2 trips) when departing from H.Nizamuddin.

Central Railway will run 6 special trains between Mumbai and Madgaon & 2 special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Habibganj to clear the extra rush of Passengers. The details are as under -

01421 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 00.20 hrs o­n 13, 14 & 15.8.2011 and will arrive Madgaon at 14.10 hrs same day. 01422 Special will leave Madgaon at 14.40 hrs o­n 13, 14 & 15.8.2011 and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 05.15 hrs next day. Halts: Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Savarde, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilawade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Madure, Pernem, Thivim and Karmali. TEMPORARY AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS

For the convenience of rail passengers and to clear extra rush of wait listed passengers, Railways have decided to augment the passenger carrying capacity of train nos. 12565/12566 Darbhanga – New Delhi Bihar S.K. Express on temporary basis by one additional Sleeper class coach withimmediate effect upto 15.8.2011 when departing from Darbhanga and upto 16.8.11when departing from New Delhi. The 14724/14723 Bhiwani - Kanpur Central Kalindi Express train would be augmented by one additional AC 3 Tier coach with immediate effect upto 15.8.11 when departing from Bhiwani and upto 16.8.11 when departing from Kanpur Central.

BHUBANESWAR - SHIRDI SPECIAL TRAIN TO RUN UP TO MANMAD


In view to clear wait listed passengers, it was decided to run a weekly special train to Shirdi from Bhubaneswar. Due to the operational constraint, this train will now run upto Manmad instead of Shirdi. As per the revised programme, this train will not touch Kopergaon and Puntamba stations. The timings and stoppages of this train between Bhubaneswar and Manmad will remain unchanged.

 08465/08466 Bhubaneswar-Manmad-Bhubaneswar weekly special train via Visakhapatnam, Secunderabad & Nizamabad will leave Bhubaneswar at 22.15hrs on every Friday between 5th August to 28th October 2011 and will arrive at Manmad at 08.450hrs on every Sunday. In the return direction, this train will leave Manmad at 21.40hrs on every Sunday between 7th August to 30th October 2011 and will arrive at Bhubaneswar at 05.45hrs on every Tuesday.

This train has One AC-2 tier, One AC-3tier, 06 Sleeper Classes, 06 General Second Classes and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Khurda Road, Balugaon, Brahmapur, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Samalkot, Rajmundry, Tadepalligudem, Elluru, Vijaywada, Khammam, Warangal, Kazipet, Secunderabad, Bolarum, Kamareddi, Nizamabad, Basar, Nanded, Purna, Parvani, Jalna, Aurangabad and Nagarsol between Bhubaneswar & Manmad.

ECoR TRAIN BETWEEN PURI & GUNUPUR


As announced in last Railway Budget, East Coast Railway has decided to extend 58417/58418 Puri-Parlakhemundi-Puri passenger train to Gunupur w.e.f. 21st August 2011. The timings of this train in both the direction between Puri and Parlakhemundi will remain unchanged.

58417 Puri-Gunupur passenger leaving Puri at 07.50hrs and arriving Parlakhemundi at 18.45hrs will leave Parlakhenundi at 18.50hrs towards Gunupur. In the extended portion, this train will leave Sitapuram Passenger Halt (PH) at 19.08hrs, Haddubhangi PH at 19.17hrs, Kashinagar PH at 19.31hrs, Lihuri PH at 19.43hrs, Bansadhara at 19.55hrs, Palasinghi PH at 20.05hrs and will arrive Gunupur at 20.30hrs.

In the return direction, 58418 Gunupur-Puri passenger will leave Gunupur at 08.00hrs, Palasinghi PH at 08.11hrs, Banasadhara at 08.21hrs, Lihuri PH at 08.33hrs, Kasinagar PH at 08.45hrs, Haddubhangi PH at 08.59hrs, Sitapuram PH at 09.08hrs and will arrive Parlakhemundi at 09.40hrs and will leave at 09.45hrs towards Puri and will arrive at Puri at 21.25hrs. This train will run with 08 coaches i.e. Two Guard cum luggage vans, 05 General Second Class coaches and One Parcel Van.

SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN MUMBAI AND NAGPUR


Railways have decided to run Four Superfast special trains between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai and Nagpur to clear the extra rush of Passengers. The details are as under:-

01097 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 20.35 hrs o­n Friday 12.8.2011 and Sunday 14.8.2011 and will arrive Nagpur 11.05 hrs next day. 01098 Special will leave Nagpur at 14.20 hrs o­n Saturday 13.8.2011 and Monday 15.8.2011 and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 05.25 hrs next day. Halts : Dadar, Thane (towards Nagpur o­nly), Kalyan, Igatpuri, Deolali, Nasik Road, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Malkapur, Nandura, Jalamb, Shegaon, Akola, Murtajapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon, Pulgaon & Wardha Junction. Composition: o­ne AC First class, o­ne AC 2-tier cum AC 3-tier, Two AC 3-tier, 13 sleeper class, 2 general second class and 2 general second class cum guard's brake vans.

Secunderabad-Jaipur Special Train Extended


South Central Railway has extend the run of Secunderabad-Jaipur-Secunderabd Special train in order to clear extra rush of passengers. Accordingly, Train No. 09735 Secunderabad-Jaipur Special train will be extended to run on 8th 15th, 22nd, 29th August and 5th, 12th September, 2011(Mondays). In the return direction, Train No. 09736 Jaipur-Secunderabad Special train will be extended to run on 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th August, 2011 and 3rd and 10th September, 2011(Saturdays).

SPECIAL TRAINS TO MYSORE FROM HOWRAH


In view to clear wait listed passengers, Railways have decided to run a weekly special train to Mysore from howrah via Bhubaneswar & Visakhapatnam.

 08003/08004 Howrah-Mysore-Howrah weekly special train via Bhubaneswar will leave Howrah at 16.10hrs on every Friday between 5th August to 9th September 2011 and will arrive at Mysore at 05.00hrs on every Sunday. In the return direction, this train will leave Mysore at 00.30hrs on every Monday (Midnight of Sunday) between 8th August to 12th September 2011 and will arrive at Howrah at 14.50hrs on every Tuesday.This train will leave Bhadrak at 20.20hrs, Cuttack at 21.47hrs, Bhubaneswar at 22.40hrs, Khurda Road at 23.30hrs on Friday and will leave Visakhapatnam at 06.16hrs on Saturday towards Mysore. In the return direction, this train will leave Visakhapatnam at 00.30 hrs on Tuesday (mid night of Monday), leave Bhubaneswar on Tuesday at 07.45hrs and Cuttack at 08.15hrs towards Howrah. This train has One AC-2 tier, Three AC-3tier, 10 Sleeper Classes, 02 General Second Classes and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition. This train will stop at Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam in East Coast Railway jurisdiction between Howrah and Mysore.

The 18507/18508 Vishakapatnam – Amritsar Hirakud Express train would be augmented by one additional Sleeper class coach with immediate effect upto 30.8.11 when departing from Vishakapatnam and from 6.8.11 upto 3.9.11 when departing from Amritsar.

WR RUNS POONAM SPECIAL


For the convenience of passengers, Western Railway will run Poonam Special between Bandra Terminus- Viramgam - Bandra Terminus and between Ahmedabad –Okha - Ahmedabad.
Poonam Special Train No.09005 Dn will depart from Bandra Terminus o­n 12th August, 2011 at 15.10 hrs and reach Viramgam at 04.20 hrs the next day. o­n its return journey Train No.09006 Up will leave Viramgam o­n 13th August, 2011 at 15.50 hrs. andarrive Bandra Terminus at 5.10 hrs, the next day. The train will have AC 3 Tier , sleeper class and second class general coaches. Enroute, the train will halt at Borivali, Valsad, Surat, Vadodara and Ahmedabad station in both directions.
Poonam Special Train No.09415 Ahmedabad-Okha will depart from Ahmedabad o­n 12th August, 2011 at 19.40 hrs and reach Okha at 06.00 hrs the next day. o­n its return journey Train No.09416 Okha-Ahmedabad will leave Ahmedabad o­n 13th August, 2011 at 18.55 hrs. and reach Ahmedabad at 07.00 hrs the next day. The train will have AC 3 Tier , sleeper class and second class general coaches. Enroute, the train will halt at Sabarmati, Sanand, Viramgam, Surendranagar, Than Jn., Wankaner Jn., Rajkot, Padadhari, Aliyawada, Hapa, Jamnagar, Kanalus, Khambhaliya, Bhatiya and Dwarka station in both directions.

To facilitate the passengers, Western Railway has further extended several holiday special trains. The details of the trains being run are –

Bandra Terminus-Jammu Tawi WeeklySuperfast Special Train
Train No.09021 Bandra Terminus – Jammu Tawi Weekly Superfast Special train will depart at 16.55 hrs on every Monday from Bandra Terminus and reach Jammu Tawi at 01.40 hrs on Wednesday has been further extended from 8th August, 2011 to 12th Sept, 2011.Similarly Train No.09022 Jammu Tawi – Bandra Terminus Weekly Superfast Special will leave from Jammu Tawi on every Wednesday at 09.30 hrs. arriving Bandra Terminus at 17.50 hrs. next day has been further extended from 10th August, 2011 to 14th Sept, 2011. The train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Bharatpur, Mathura Jn., Delhi Safderjung, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana and Chakki Bank stations in both the directions.The train will have I AC, AC II Tier, AC III Tier, sleeper class and II class General coaches.

Dadar-Bikaner WeeklySuperfast Special Train
Train No.04728 Dadar-Bikaner Weekly Superfast Special will leave from Dadar on every Tuesday at 14.35 hrs. arriving Bikaner at 12.40 hrs. next day has been further extended from 9th August, 2011 to 30th August, 2011. Similarly, train No.04727 Bikaner - Dadar Weekly Superfast Special train will depart at 15.00 hrs on every Monday from Bikaner and reach Dadar at 12.50 hrs on Tuesday has been further extended from 8th August, 2011 to 29th August, 2011. The train will halt at Borivali, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Nadiad, Ahmedabad, Mehasana Jn, Unjha, Chhapi, Palanpur, Abu Road, Sirohi Road, Jawai Bandh, Falna, Rani, Marwar Jn, Palimarwar, Luni, Jodhpur, Gotan, Merta Road, Nagpur, Nokha and Deshnok stations in both the directions. The train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier, sleeper class and II class General coaches.

Porbandar - Secunderabad Weekly Special Train
Train No. 09221 Porbandar - Secunderabad (Weekly) Special train which departs from Porbandar at 23.50 hrs on every Monday has been further extended from 8th August, 2011 to 12th Sept, 2011 and reach Secunderabadat 10.30 hrs. the Wednesday.Similarly, Train No. 09222 Secunderabad - Porbandar (Weekly) Special train which departsfrom Secunderabad at 14.50 hrs on every Wednesday has been further extended from 10th August , 2011 to 14th Sept, 2011and arrive Porbandar at 01.30 hrs. the Friday.The train will halt at Wansjaliya, Bhanwad, Lalpur (Jam), Jamnagar, Hapa, Rajkot, Surendranagar, Viramgam, Ahmedabad, Nadiad, Anand, Vadodara, Ankleshwar, Surat, Valsad, Vapi, Vasai Road, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Gulbarga, Wadi, Tandur and Begumpet stations in both directions.The train will have AC II tier, AC III tier, sleeper class and General II class coaches.

Ahmedabad –Yeshwantpur (Weekly) Special Train
Train No. 09405 Ahmedabad – Yeshwantpur (Weekly) Special train which departes from Ahmedabad at 19.30 hrs on every Saturday and reach Yeshwantpur at 4.00 hrs. on Monday has been further extended from 6th August, 2011 to 20th August, 2011. Similarly, Train No. 09406 Yeshwantpur - Ahmedabad (Weekly) Special train which departs from Yeshwantpur at 6.20 hrs on every Monday and arrive Ahmedabad at 15.10 hrs. the next day has been further extended from 8th August, 2011 to 22nd August, 2011. The train will halt at Nadiad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vasai Road, Bhivandi, Kalyan, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Gulbarga, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam, Adoni, Guntakal, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Sri Satya Sai Prasanthi Nilayam, Hindupur and Yelahanka stations in both directions. The train will have AC II tier, AC III tier, sleeper class and General II class coaches.
