PREMIUM SPECIAL TRAINS BY SOUTHERN RAILWAY

The following special trains will be operated to clear the extra rush of passengers during the holidays, Dussera and Deepavali festivals.

1. PREMIUM weekly superfast special trains between Santragachi – Ernakulam (via.Melpakkam)

Train No.02853 Santragachi – Ernakulam Jn. weekly PREMIUM superfast special train will leave Santragachi at 17.30 hrs. o­n 27th September, 04th, 11th, 18thand 25th October, 2014 (Saturdays) and reach Ernakulam Jn. at 06.00 hrs. o­n Mondays.

Train No.02854 Ernakulam Jn. – Santragachi weekly PREMIUM superfast special train will leave Ernakulam Jn. at 08.50 hrs. o­n 30th September, 07th, 14th, 21stand 28th October, 2014 (Tuesdays) and reach Santragachi at 23.00 hrs. o­n Wednesdays.

The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 8 Sleeper Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The trains will stop at Bhubaneswar, Vishakapatnam, Vijayawada, Katpadi and Coimbatore.

2. PREMIUM special trains between Thiruvananthapuram – Kamakhya

Train No.00642 Thiruvananthapuram – Kamakhya PREMIUM special train will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 12.30 hrs. o­n 27.09.2014, Saturday and reach Kamakhya at 22.30 hrs. o­n 29.09.2014, Monday.

Train No.00641 Kamakhya – Thiruvananthapuram PREMIUM special train will leave Kamakhya at 20.30 hrs. o­n 30.09.2014, Tuesday and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 05.00 hrs. o­n 03.10.2014, Friday.

The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 3 AC 3-tier, 14 Sleeper Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The trains will stop at Ernakulam Town, Palakkad, Bhubaneswar, Howrah and New Jalpaiguri.

Advance reservations for the above trains will commence o­n 20.09.2014.

PREMIUM SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN PUNE AND BHUBANESHWAR

Central Railway will run 22 premium special trains between Pune and Bhubaneshwar to clear the extra rush of passengers during Puja / Diwali festival as per details given under:

Train No. 02881 premium special will leave Pune at 11.15 hrs o­n every Tuesday from 23.9.2014 to 2.12.2014 (11 trips) and arrive Bhubaneshwar at 17.35 hrs next day.
Train No.02882 premium special will leave Bhubaneshwar at 22.15 hrs o­n every Sunday from 21.9.2014 to 30.11.2014 (11 trips) and will arrive Pune at 04.05 hrs o­n third day.

HALTS: Wadi Jn., Secunderabad, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam and Brahmapur.
COMPOSITION: o­ne AC-2 Tier, o­ne AC-3 Tier, 10 Sleeper class and o­ne Pantry car.

RESERVATION: Bookings will open o­n 20.9.2014 THROUGH INTERNET for train No. 02881 leaving o­n 23.9.2014 and 30.9.2014 and trains leaving subsequently will open with 10 days Advance Reservation Period (excluding the day of journey)

SPECIAL TRAINS TO CATER TO FESTIVAL RUSH

In order to cater to the extra rush of passengers during Festival season, Railway has decided to run Festival Special Trains as per following programme:-

01451/ 01452 Lucknow Jn- Pune-Lucknow Jn Festival Special (12 Trips)

The 01451 Pune- Lucknow Jn. Festival Special train will depart from Pune on every Tuesday from 23.09.14 to 11.11.14 (06 trips) at 10.00 p.m. to reach Lucknow Jn. at 02.30 a.m. the third day. In the return direction, the 01452 Lucknow Jn.- Pune. Festival Special train will depart from Lucknow Jn on every Thursday from 25.09.14 to 13.11.14 (06 trips) at 06.30 a.m. to reach Pune. at 11.05 a.m. the next day

Comprising of One AC II Tier, o­ne AC III Tier, five Sleeper Class, Six General Class, two disabled friendly Second Class cum Luggage Van coaches, the 01451/01452 Lucknow Jn.- Pune- Lucknow Jn. Festival Special train will stop at Daund, Ahmednagar, Belapur, Kopargaon, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusawal, Khandwa, Itarsi, Hoshangabad, Habibganj, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Orai and Kanpur Central stations enroute in both the directions.

02171/02172 Mumbai CST – Jammu Tawi – Mumbai CST Weekly Special (04 Trips)

The 02171 Mumbai CST– Jammu Tawi WeeklySpecial train will depart from Mumbai CST o­n every Friday from 26.09.14 to 03.10.14 (02 trips) at 06.35 a.m. to reach Jammu Tawi at 05.30 p.m. the next day.In the return direction, the 02172 Jammu Tawi – Mumbai CST WeeklySpecial train will depart from Jammu Tawi o­n every Sunday from 28.09.14 to 05.10.14 (02 trips) at 05.00 a.m. to reach Mumbai CST at 10.20 p.m. the next day.

Consisting of o­ne AC First Class, o­ne AC 2 tier, two AC 3 tier, twelve Sleeper Class, five General Class and two Second class cum Luggage Van coaches, the 02171/02172 Mumbai CST – Jammu Tawi – Mumbai CST Weekly Special train will stop at Dadar, Kalyan, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Jhansi, Agra, New Delhi, PANIPAT, Ambala Cantt., Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt. & Pathankot Cantt. stations enroute in both the directions.

02111/02112 Lok Manya Tilak-Lucknow Jn. AC Superfast Express (12 Trips)

The 02111 Lok Manya Tilak-Lucknow Jn. AC Superfast Express Special train will depart from Lok Manya Tilak T. o­n every Saturday from 27.09.14 to 08.11.14 (06 trips) at 02.20 p.m. to reach Lucknow Jn. at 01.15 p.m. the next day. In the return direction, the 02112 Lucknow Jn.- Lok Manya Tilak T. AC Superfast Express Special train will depart from Lucknow Jn. o­n every Sunday 28.09.14 to 09.11.14 (06 trips) at 04.15 p.m. to reach Lok Manya Tilakat 05.30 p.m. the next day.

Comprising of o­ne AC first class, three AC II Tier, 10 AC III Tier and o­ne AC Pantry Car, the 02111/02112 Lok Manya Tilak-Lucknow Jn. 02533/02534 Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus – Gorakhpur Weekly Superfast Special (12 Trips)

The   02533 Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus Weekly Superfast Special Train will will depart from Gorakhpur on every Sunday from 05.10.14 to 09.11.14 (06 trips) at 07.00 a.m. to reach Bandra Terminus at 05.35 p.m. the next day. In the return direction, the 02534 Bandra Terminus –Gorakhpur Weekly Superfast Special Train will depart from Bandra Terminus on every Tuesday from 07.10.14 to 11.11.14 (06 trips) at 04.45 a.m. to reach Gorakhpur at 02.25 p.m. the next day.

Comprising of o­ne AC 3 Tier, six Sleeper Class, eight General Class &  Two disabled friendly Second class cum luggage van coaches, the 02533/02534 Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus –Gorakhpur Weekly Superfast Special will stop at Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda, Lucknow (NR), Kanpur Central, Kannauj, Farrukhabad, Kasganj, Hathras City, Mathura Jn., Achhnera, Bharatpur, Hindaun City, Gangapur City, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Ramganj Mandi, Bhawani Mandi, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi and Borivali stations enroute in both directions.



09421/09422 Ahemadabad-Sri Mata Vaishno devi Katra Bi Weekly Superfast “Premium” Special Train (18 Trips)



           .The 09421 Ahemadabad-Sri Mata Vaishno devi Katra Bi Weekly Superfast “Premium” Special Train will depart from Ahmedabad at 04.10 p.m. o­n every Wednesday & Saturday from 1.10.14 to 29.10.14 (09 trips) to reach Sri Mata Vaishno devi Katra at 06.30 p.m. the next day. In the return direction, 09422Sri Mata Vaishno devi Katra -Ahmedabad Bi Weekly Superfast “Premium” Special Train will depart from Sri Mata Vaishno devi Katra at 09.00 p.m. o­n every Thursday & Sunday from 2.10.14 to 30.10.14  (09 trips) to reach Ahmedabad at 00.45 midnightthe third day.

Comprising of two AC 2-tier cum AC 3-tier, two AC 3 Tier, ten Sleeper Class & Two disabled friendly Second class cum luggage van coaches, the 09421/09422 Ahemadabad-Sri Mata Vaishno devi Katra Bi Weekly Superfast “Premium” Special Train will stop at Palanpur, Ajmer, Jaipur, Ludhiana and Jammu Tawi stations enroute in both directions.

Special trains for Diwali and Dussera Festivals by South Central Railway

DUSSEHRA SPECIAL TRAINS

In view of heavy rush during Dussehra Holidays and to avoid rush in different regular trains towards Mysore, Ministry of Railways has decided to run Special trains through East Coast Railway jurisdiction with an aim to provide comfortable journey to the commuters for world famous Dussehra Festival at Mysore. Passengers may avail the facility of the Special trains towards Mysore and other destinations en-route during the Puja rush time.

SANTRAGACHHI-MYSORE:

02683 Mysore-Santragachhi (Kolkata) Dussehra Special Train will leave Mysore at 0600hrs o­n every Wednesday between 24th September to 29th October 2014 and will arrive at Santragachhi at 1545hrs o­n the next day. In the return direction, 02684 Santragachhi-Mysore Special train will leave Santragachhi at 0550hrs o­n every Friday between 26th September to 31st October 2014 and will arrive at Mysore at 1645hrs o­n Saturdays.

This train has o­ne AC-2 tier, Two AC-3 tiers, 12 Sleeper Class coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Bhubaneswar, Duvvada, Vijayawada, Gudur, Jolarpettai and Bangalore City between Santragachhi & Mysore.

Apart from this, passengers may board the Yesvantpur, Bangalore Cant and Chennai bound trains from & through East Coast Railway jurisdiction, where they can easily access to board the connecting trains towards Mysore.

BHUBANESWAR-BANGALORE CANT PREMIUM:

00851 Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Cant Premium Special train is leaving Bhubaneswar at 2250hrs o­n every Saturday & Wednesday till 22nd October 2014 and arriving at Bangalore Cant at 2120hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 00852 Bangalore Cant-Bhubaneswar Premium Special train is leaving Bangalore Cant at 2350hrs o­n every Sunday & Thursday till 23rd October 2014 and arriving at Bhubaneswar at 2315hrs o­n next days.

This train has o­ne AC-2 tier, Four AC-3 tiers, 11 Sleeper Class coaches, Two Guard cum Luggage Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Brahmapur, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Renigunta & Jolarpetai between Bhubaneswar & Bangalore cant.

SAMBALPUR-YESVANTPUR:

08301 Sambalpur-Yesvantpur Special train will leave Sambalpur at 0850hrs o­n every Wednesday between 1st October to 24th December 2014 and will arrive at Yesvantpur at 1630hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 08302 Yesvantpur-Sambalpur Special train will leave Yesvantpur at 0030hrs o­n every Friday (Midnight of Thursday) between 3rd October to 26th December 2014 and will arrive at Sambalpur at 0615hrs o­n Saturdays.

This train has o­ne AC-2 tier, o­ne AC-3 tier, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, Three General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Bargarh Road, Bolangir, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Muniguda, Rayagada, Parbatipuram, Bobbili, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam in ECoR jurisdiction between Sambalpur & Yesvantpur.

HOWRAH-YESVANTPUR AC PREMIUM:

02863 Howrah-Yesvantpur AC Premium Special train is leaving Howrah at 1100hrs o­n every Monday till 29th December 2014 and arriving at Yesvantpur at 1600hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 02864 Yesvantpur-Howrah AC Premium Special train is leaving Yesvantpur at 1115hrs o­n every Wednesday till 31st December 2014 and arriving at Howrah at 1600hrs o­n next days.

This train has Three AC-2 tiers, Eight AC-3 tiers, Two Guard cum Generator Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Bhubaneswar, Duvvada, Vijayawada, Renigunta and Katpadi between Howrah & Yesvantpur.

HOWRAH-CHENNAI AC PREMIUM:

02841 Howrah-Chennai AC Premium Special train will leave Howrah at 1240hrs o­n every Friday between 26th September to 28th November 2014 and will arrive at Chennai at 1425hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 02842 Chennai-Howrah AC Premium Special train will leave Chennai at 1710hrs o­n every Saturday between 27th September to 29th November 2014 and will arrive at Howrah at 1830hrs o­n next days.

This train has Three AC-2 tiers, Eight AC-3 tiers, Two Guard cum Generator Vans and o­ne Pantry Car in its composition having stoppages at Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar, Duvvada and Vijayawada between Howrah & Chennai.                                                  

SANTRAGACHHI-CHENNAI JAN SADHARAN:

02807 Santragachhi (Kolkata)-Chennai bi-weekly Jansadharan Special train will leave Santragachhi at 1900hrs o­n every Monday and Thursday between 18th September to 13th November 2014 and will arrive at Chennai at 2245hrs o­n the following days. In the return direction, 02808 Chennai-Santragachhi bi-weekly Jansadharan Special train will leave Chennai at 0745hrs o­n every Wednesday and Saturday between 20th September to 15thNovember 2014 and will arrive at Santragachhi at 1025hrs o­n next days.

           This train has 16 general Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam & Duvvada in ECoR jurisdiction between Howrah & Chennai.​

Extra Coaches to Secunderabad-Kakinada Town-Secunderabad Tri-Weekly AC Express Train

In order to clear extra rush of passengers, South Central Railway will temporarily augment the Secunderabad-Kakinada Town-Secunderabad Tri Weekly AC Express Train with o­ne additional AC II Tier and with o­ne additional AC III Tier coach as detailed below:-

Train No. 12776 Secunderabad- Kakinada Town Tri Weekly Cocanada AC Express will be temporarily augmented with o­ne AC II Tier and o­ne AC III Tier coaches from 19th September to 29th September 2014.

Train No. 12775 Kakinada Town-Secunderabad Tri Weekly Cocanada AC Express will be temporarily augmented with o­ne AC II Tier and o­ne AC III Tier coaches from 18th September to 28th September 2014.

Intercity Express to stop at Namtiali station

15603 / 15604 Kamakhya - Ledo Intercity Express will stop at Namtiali station w.e.f. 19-09-2014 for six months o­n experimental basis.Train number 15603 from Kamakhya will arrive Namtiali station at 05-03 hrs and depart at 05-05 hrs. While train number 15604 from Ledo will reach Namtiali station at 19-13 hrs. and depart at 19-15 hrs.

Bi-Weekly Premium Special Train between Yesvantpur and Bikaner

To facilitate passengers during the festive season, Railway will run 20 services of Bi-Weekly Premium Special Train No. 02691/02692 between Yesvantpur and Bikaner.

Train No. 02691 Yesvantpur-Bikaner Bi-Weekly Premium Special Train will depart Yesvantpur  at 12.10  hrs every Friday & Sunday  and reach Bikaner at 06.00  hrs  o­n Sunday & Tuesday from 26thSeptember, 2014 to 26th  October, 2014.

Similarly, Train No. 02692 Bikaner-YesvantpurBi-Weekly Premium Special Train will depart Bikaner at 18.00 hrs every Sunday & Tuesday and reach Yesvantpur at 11.50 hrs o­n Tuesday & Thursday from 28thSeptember, 2014 to 28th October, 2014.

The train will halt at Hubli, Pune, Surat, Ahmedabad, Palanpur and Jodhpur stations in both directions.

The train will have AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Second Sleeper class and Pantry car.

No waitlisted tickets shall be issued. There will be no refund except when the train is fully cancelled o­n railway account due to unforeseen circumstances or due to severe disturbances affecting operations. Adult fare shall be charged for all passengers irrespective of their age. No concession shall be applicable to this train.

The booking of these trains will be available o­nly through Internet that is IRCTC’s portal and not through the counters at reservation centers. The passengers are required to carry the prescribed original photo identity card which is used at the time of booking. The fares applicable for each day/transaction shall be indicated at the time of booking o­n the IRCTC’s e-ticketing website.

The advance reservation period will be shorter, that is a maximum of 15 days. The fare is also likely to increase depending o­n the demand intensity.

Only e-tickets will be permitted for booking.
