TEMPORARY ADDITIONAL STOPPAGES


For the convenience and at the demand of rail passengers, Railways have decided to provide additional stoppages on experimental basis to train Nos. 12549/12550 Durg-Jammu Tawi Express, 12003/04 New Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi Express, 14207/08 Pratapgarh-Delhi Padmavat Express and 14203/04 Varanasi-Lucknow Intercity Express as per details given below:

The 12003/12004 New Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi Express train has been provided with an additional stoppage at Tundla station on experimental basis with effect from 1.1.2012 for 6 months.The 12004 New Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi will arrive at Tundla station at 8.45am and after stopping for 2 minutes it will depart at 8.47 a.m. for its onward journey.While in the return direction the 12003 Lucknow-New Delhi Shatabdi Express will arrive at Tundla station at 7.11p.m. and will depart at 7.13p.m. after stopping for 2 minutes.
The 12549/12550 Durg-Jammu Tawi Express train has been provided with an additional stoppage at Umaria station with effect from 3.1.2012 upto 2.7.2012 on experimental basis.The 12550 Jammu Tawi Durg Express arrive at Umaria at 6.42a.m. after stopping for 2 minutes, it will depart at 6.44 a.m. for its onward journey.While in the return direction the 12549 Durg-Jammu Tawi Express will arrive at Umaria station at 7.03p.m. and after stopping for 2 minutes it will depart at 7.05 p.m. for its scheduled journey.
The 14207/14208 Pratapgarh-Delhi Padmavat Express train will beprovided with an additional stoppage at Gauriganj station w.e.f. 5.1.12 for 6 months on experimental basis.The 14208 Delhi-Pratapgarh Padmavat Express train will arrive at Gauriganj station at 7.05a.m. and will depart at 7.07a.m. to reach Amethi station at 7.17a.m., after stopping for 2 minutes it will depart at 7.19a.m. for its onward journey towards Pratapgarh.While in the return direction, the 14207 Pratapgarh-Delhi Padmavat Express train will arrive at Amethi at 5.58 p.m and depart at 6.00p.m. to reach Gauriganj stationat 6.17p.m. after stoppage of 2 minutes, it will depart at 6.19p.m. to reach Jais station at 6.34p.m. and after stoppage of 2 minutes it will depart at 6.36p.m. for its onward journey towards Delhi Jn.
The 14203/14204 Varanasi-Lucknow Intercity Express train will be provided with an additional stoppage at Harchandpur station with effect from 5.1.12 upto 6 months on experimental basis.The 14204 Lucknow-Varanasi Intercity Express trainwill depart from Bachirawan at 7.59a.m. to reach Harchandpur station at 8.10a.m.After stoppage of 2 minutes it will depart at 8.12.a.m. to reach Rae Bareli Jn. at 8.28a.m.and after stopping for 5 minutes it will depart at 8.33a.m. for its scheduled onward journey to Varanasi.While in its return direction the 14203 Varanasi-Lucknow Intercity Express will depart from Rae Bareli at 8.08p.m. to reach Harchandpur station at 8.24p.m.after stopping for 2 min. it will depart at 8.26 p.m to reach Bachirawan at 8.36 p.m and for onward scheduled journey to Lucknow.

SCR Extends Special Trains


In order to clear extra rush of passengers, South Central Railway has Extended the run of Hyderabad-Ajmer Weekly Special train, Hyderabad-Kolhapur CSMT Special train & Adilabad and Nanded Special Trains to the existing time and halts as per the following schedule;-
1)Hyderabad-Ajmer-Hyderabad Weekly Special Trains: Train No. 07106 Hyderabad-Ajmer Weekly Special train departs Hyderabad at 21.35 hrs o­n Fridays i.e, 3rd , 10th , 17th ,24th, February, and 2nd , 9th , 16th , 23rd 30th March, 2012 and arrives Ajmer at 14.30 hrs o­n Sundays.In the return direction, Train No. 07105 Ajmer-Hyderabad weekly Special train departs Ajmer at 22.45 hrs o­n Sundays i.e, o­n 5th 12th , 19th ,26th, February, and 4th , 11th , 18th , 25th, March and 1st April,2012and arrive Hyderabad at 14 00 hrs o­n Tuesdays.
2)Hyderabad-Kolhapur CSMT-Hyderabad Special Trains: Train No. 07143Hyderabad-Kolhapur CSMTSpecial train departsHyderabad at 23.10 hrs o­n Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays during the period from 4thFebruary to 31st March , 2012 and arrives Kolhapur CSMT at 22 45 hrs o­n the next day. In the return direction, Train No. 07144 Kolhapur CSMT - Hyderabad Special train departs Kolhapur CSMT at 07 30 hrs o­nThursdays, Fridays, Mondays, and Tuesdays during the period from 6th February, 2012 to 2ndApril,2012 and arrives Hyderabad at 06 45 hrs o­n the next day.
3)Adilabad-Nanded Special Trains: Train No. 07403 Adilabad-Nanded Special train departsat 07 30 hrs dailyand reach Nanded at 12 15 hrs o­n the same day. In the return direction Train No. 07404 Nanded-Adilabad Special Train departs Nanded at 15 00 hrs daily and arrives Adilabad at 1930 hrs o­n the same day.

SER TO RUN 3 PAIRS OF SPECIAL TRAINS TO PURI


South Eastern Railway will run three pairs of special trains between Shalimar and Puri on 21.01.12, 25.01.12 and 27.01.12 from Shalimar and on 22.01.12, 26.01.12 and 28.01.12 from Puri to clear the extra rush of passengers. These trains will have AC-3 tier,Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.

The special train (08007) leaving Shalimar at 20.25 hrs. on 21.01.12 and 25.01.12 will reach Puri at 04.00 hrs. the next morning. In the return direction, the special train(08008) departing Puri at 23.35 hrs. on 22.01.12 and 26.01.12 will arrive Shalimar at 09.20 hrs. ,the next morning.
The Superfast Special(08009) leaving Shalimar at 20.25 hrs. on 27.01.12 . will reach Puri at 04.00 hrs., the next morning. In the return direction, the Superfast Specialtrain(08010) leaving Puri at 19.50 hrs.will arrive Shalimar at 03.30 hrs., the next morning.
The Special trains will have stoppages at Santragachi, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khurda Road between Shalimar and Puri.

HERITAGE STEAM RUN BY SOUTHERN RAILWAYS


Southern Railway will conduct a Heritage Run of 157 year old steam locomotive from Chennai Egmore to Guindy in connection with the Republic Day.Steam locomotive EIR 21 is the oldest locomotive on Indian Railways.The train will leave from platform No. 1 of Chennai Egmore at 11.00 hrs. on 26.01.2012, halt at Kodambakkam station for 20 minutes for public viewing and arrive Guindy by 12.30 hrs.

MYSORE-SAI NAGAR SHIRDI-MYSORE WEEKLY SPECIAL TRAIN EXTENDED


In order to clear extra rush of passengers, South Western Railway has ExtendedMysore-Sainagar Shirdi-Mysore Weekly Special train as per the following schedule;-
Train No. 06201Mysore-Sainagar Shirdi Weekly Special train will depart Mysore at 05 30 hrs o­n Mondays during the period 23rd January to 26thMarch ,2012 and arrive Sainagar Shirdi at 11.30 hrs o­n the following Tuesdays.In the return direction,Train No. 06202 Sainagar Shirdi-Mysore weeklySpecial train will depart Sainagar Shirdi at 23 55hrs o­n Tuesdays during the period 24th January to 27th March,2012 and arrive Mysore at 07 10 hrs o­n the following Thursdays.
Enroute, these trains will stop at Mandya, Kengeri, Bangalore City,Bangalore Cantt.,Yelhanka, Hidupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Bellari, Toranagallu, Hospet, Koppal ,Gadag ,Bagalkot, Bijapur, Hotgi ,Solapur, Kurdawadi , Daund , Ahmednagar , Belapur and Puntamba.These trains will have 20 Coaches Viz., two AC II tier, twoAC III tier, eleven Sleeper class, three General Second class and two second class luggage cum brake vans Coaches.

1st AC coach in Sayaji Nagari Exp and Kutch Express Extended up to 29 Feb.

For the convenience of passengers, WR will attach one Ist AC coach each in 19115/19131 Bandra Terminus – BhujSayaji Nagari Express/Kutch Express from 24/01/2012 to 01/03/2012 and 19132/19116 Bhuj - Bandra Terminus Kutch Express/ Sayaji Nagari Express from 24/01/2012 to 29/02/2012. This will benefit Gujarat bound passengers to Bhuj via Ahmedabad.

SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN LTT- MADGAON – LTT


In order to cater for the extra rush, Konkan Railway in co-ordination with Central Railway, it has  decided to run Special Trains between  Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)  - Madgaon - Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)   for the convenience of its most valuable and esteemed passengers.

Halts at:The trains will halt at Thane, Panvel, Roha, Ratnagiri, Sawantwadi,   Thivim and Karmali stations. The train will have 20 coaches with Composition of Twelve Sleeper Coaches, Two AC III Tier, One AC II & III Tier, Three General Seating and Two SLR Coaches.

PROVISION FOR CARRYING OF ID PROOF FOR ALL AC CLASSES DURING JOURNEY ON RESERVED TICKETS


Similar to Tatkal and e-ticket passenger, any one of the passengers/ passenger booking tickets from computerised passenger reservation system (PRS) and internet(i-ticket), undertaking journey in upper class (First AC, AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, AC Chair Car and Executive classes) will have to carry any one of the prescribed original proof of identity during the journey to establish their identity. The passengers who fail to produce the same will be treated without ticket and charged accordingly.

This procedure will come into effect from 15.2.2012.

The details of valid proof of identity are as under:

3) Pan Card issued by Income Tax Department
4) Driving Licence issued by RTO
5) Photo Identity card having serial number issued by Central/State Government
6) Student Identity Card with photograph issued by recognised school/college for their students

9) Unique Identification Card “Aadhaar”
