As announced in the last Railway Budget and with the initiatives of Mamata Banerjee, Minister for Railways, Ministry of Railways has decided to introduce a new weekly super fast train between Puri & Valsad via Sambalpur City, Bilaspur, Bhopal & Surat. In the inaugural run from Valsad, this train will run as a special train and will leave Valsad at 03.00p.m on 12th February 2011 towards Puri. The regular service of this train will commence from Puri w.e.f. 20th February 2011 and from Valsad w.e.f. 24th February 2011.
12584 Puri-Valsad weekly super fast express will leave Puri at 05.25a.m on every Sunday and will arrive Valsad at 07.50p.m on every Monday which will run via Sambalpur City, Bilaspur, Bhopal & Surat. In the return direction, 12583 Valsad-Puri weekly super fast express will leave Valsad at 07.35p.m on every Thursday and will arrive Puri at 10.35a.m on every Saturday.
This train has One AC-2 tier, One AC-3 tier, Eight Sleeper Classes, Six General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage vans in its composition having stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Dhenkanal, Talcher Road, Angul, Sambalpur City, Jharsuguda, Champa, Bilaspur, Anuppur, Shahdol, Katni, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Bhopal, Maksi, Ujjain, Ratlam, Dahod, Vadodara & Surat between Puri & Valsad.
