Summer Special Trains between Lokmanya Tilak Temrinus and Tirunelveli
Central Railway will run 8 special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Tirunelveli to clear the extra rush of passengers during summer season. The details of services as under –
01067 special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 14.30 hrs on Sunday 14.4.2013, 28.4.2013, 12.5.2013 and 26.5.2013 and will arrive Tirunelveli at 03.30 hrs on third day i.e. Tuesday.
01068 special will leave Tirunelveli at 13.45 hrs on Tuesday 16.4.2013, 30.4.2013, 14.5.2013 and 28.5.2013 and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 01.40 hrs on third day i.e. Thursday.

Special Trains Between Nanded and Aurangabad
In order to clear extra rush of passengers during JEE Examination SCR will run, two special trains between Nanded and Aurangabad as per the following schedule:-
Train No. 07145 Nanded - Aurangabad Special Train will depart Nanded at 23 00 hrs on 6th April 2013 (Saturday) and arrive Aurangabad at 05 00 hrs on the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07146 Aurangabad - Nanded Special Train will depart Aurangabad at 19 15 hrs on 7thApril 2013 (Sunday) and arrive Nanded at 00 40 hrs on the next day.
Enroute, these special trains will stop at Purna, Parbhani, Manvat Road, Selu, Partur and Jalna in both the directions.
These special trains will comprise of one AC III Tier, six Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches, totaling to fifteen Coaches.
SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN NEW DELHI- LUCKNOW
To clear extra rush of rail passengers during the Holi Festival, Northern Railway has decided to run a pair of Special train no. 04026/04025 between New Delhi- Lucknow- New Delhi Express as per thefollowing schedule:-
The 04026 New Delhi- Lucknow Express Holi Special Train will depart from New Delhi on 30.03.2013 (01 trip) at 06.05 p.m. to reach Lucknow at 03.10 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the 04025 Lucknow- New Delhi Express Holi Special train will depart from Lucknow on 31.03.2013 (01 trip) at 09.15 p.m. to arrive at New Delhi at 06.25 a.m. the next day.
Consisting of, Fifteen General Class & Two Disabled Friendly Second Class cum Luggage Van coaches, 04026/04025 New Delhi- Lucknow- New Delhi Express Holi Special Train will stop at Moradabad & Bareilly stations enroute in both the directions.
TEMPORARY AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS
For the convenience of the rail passengers and to increase the passenger carrying capacity to clear extra rush, Northern Railway has decided to augment the followingtrains on temporary basis as per the under-mentionedprogramme:
The 12233/12234 Lucknow- New Delhi- Lucknow A.C. Express train will be augmented by One Additional A.C. 3 Tier coach from 29.03.2013 to 05.04.2013 when departing from Lucknow and from 30.03.2013 to 06.04.2013when departing from New Delhi.
The 12271/12272 Lucknow- New Delhi- Lucknow Duronto Express train has been augmented by One Additional A.C. 3 Tier coach with immediate effect upto 04.04.2013 when departing from Lucknow and from 29.03.2013 to 05.04.2013when departing from New Delhi.
The 12439/12440 New Delhi- Ranchi -New Delhi Rajdhani Express train will be augmented by One Additional A.C. 3 Tier coach from 29.03.2013 to 05.04.2013 when departing from New Delhi and from 31.03.2013 to 07.04.2013when departing from Ranchi.
The 12441/12442 New Delhi- Bilaspur- New Delhi Rajdhani Express train will be augmented by Two Additional A.C. 2 Tier & Two Additional A.C. 3 Tier coaches from 30.03.2013 to 06.04.2013 when departing from New Delhi and from 01.04.2013 to 08.04.2013when departing from Bilaspur.
The 12453/12454 New Delhi- Ranchi -New Delhi Rajdhani Express train has been augmented by Two Additional A.C. 2 Tier & Two Additional A.C. 3 Tier coaches with immediate effect upto 04.04.2013 when departing from New Delhi and from 30.03.2013 to 06.04.2013when departing from Ranchi.
The 12001/12002 New Delhi- Bhopal -New Delhi Shatabdi Express train has been augmented by Two Additional A.C. Chair Car coaches with immediate effect upto 03.04.2013 in both the directions.
The 12435/12436 New Delhi- Dibrugarh- New Delhi Rajdhani Express train has been augmented by One Additional A.C. 3 Tier coach with immediate effect upto 04.04.2013 when departing from New Delhi and from 01.04.2013 to 08.04.2013when departing from Dibrugarh.
The 12431/12432 Hazrat Nizamuddin- Trivandrum- Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express train will be augmented by One Additional A.C. 3 Tier coach from 31.03.2013 to 03.04.2013 when departing from Hazrat Nizamuddin and from 02.04.2013 to 05.04.2013when departing from Trivandrum.
The 12433/12434 Hazrat Nizamuddin- Chennai Central- Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express train will be augmented by One Additional A.C. 3 Tier coach from 29.03.2013 to 05.04.2013 when departing from Hazrat Nizamuddin and from 31.03.2013 to 07.04.2013when departing from Chennai Central.
The 12497/12498 New Delhi- Amritsar -New Delhi Shane Punjab Express train has been augmented by One Additional A.C. Chair Car coach with immediate effect upto 02.04.2013 in both the directions.
WR PERMANENTLY AUGUMENTS ONE FIRST CLASS COACH IN VALSAD – DAHOD INTER CITY EXPRESS
For the convenience of passengers, Western Railway has decided to augment one First Class coaches in 12929/12930 Valsad – Dahod Inter City Express w.e.f 01stApril, 2013 ex Valsad on permanent basis.
After augmentation, now 12929/12930 Valsad – Dahod Inter City Express will run with 19 coaches.
WESTERN RAILWAY INTRODUCES 40 NEW SUBURBAN SERVICES
Western Railway will introduce 40 new suburban services of 15-car and 12- car on Churchgate-Virar section from 29thMarch,
2013. It will introduce two more 12-car Ladies Special trains between
Churchgate and Vasai Road, taking the total number of Ladies special to 8
on its suburban section.
The
newly introduced ladies Specials will be run during peak hours to
further facilitate the women commuters. In Up direction, the new ladies
special will start from Vasai Road at 9.56 hrs while in return direction
it will start from Churchgate at 19.40 hrs.
Out
of 40 new suburban services, 16 services will be 15-car services
including 6 services during peak hours to facilitate commuters during
rush period. The total number of 15-car services will go upto 30 on
Western Railway.
These 40 new services include 19 Up and 21 Down trains.The section-wise detail is as under:-

Special Trains between Tirupati and Karimnagar
South Central Railway will run two special trains between Tirupati and Karimnagar in order to clear extra rush of passengers as per the following schedule:-
Train No. 02761 Tirupati-Karimnagar Special Train will depart Tirupati at 22 40 hrs on 3rd April, 2013 (Wednesday) and arrive Karimnagar at 11 25 hrs on the next day.
In the return direction, Train No.02762 Karimnagar-Tirupati Special train will depart Karimnagar at 19 10 hrs on 4th April, 2013 (Thursday) and arrive Tirupati at 07 55 hrs on the next day.
Enroute, these trains will stop at Renigunta, Srikalahasti, Gudur, Vijayawada, Madhira, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Jamikunta and Peddapalli stations in both directions.
These trains will consist of one AC II Tier, one AC III Tier, eight Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake Van Coaches, totaling to eighteen coaches

AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS
The temporary augmentation of T.No.12851/12852 Bilaspur – Chennai Central – Bilaspur Express trains by one AC 3-tier coach upto 24th & 25th February 2013, has been extended upto 30.6.2013 ex.Bilaspur and upto 1.7.2013 ex.Chennai Central.
SPECIAL TRAINS
The following special trains will be run to clear the extra rush of passengers.
Darbhanga – Bangalore City – Darbhanga Specials (via. Chennai Central): Train No. 05217 Darbhanga – Bangalore City special will leave Darbhanga at 16.15 hrs.on 30.3.2013 and arrive Chennai Central at 14.15 hrs. on 1.4.2013. Leaving Chennai Central at 14.40 hrs. on 1.4.2013, the train will arrive Bangalore City at 20.55 hrs. on 1.4.2013. Train No. 05218 Bangalore City – Darbhanga special will leave Bangalore City at 10.10 hrs. on 2.4.2013 and arrive Chennai Central at 15.50 hrs. on 2.4.2013. Leaving Chennai Central at 16.15 hrs. on 2.4.2013, the train will arrive Darbhanga at 14.15 hrs. on 4.4.2013. The composition of the trains will be 1 AC 2-tier, 1 AC 3-tier, 5 Sleeper Class, 11 General Second Class and 2 Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches. The trains will stop at Samastipur, Barauni, Patna, Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Mughalsarai, Mizapur, Chheoki, Manikpur, Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Nagpur, Balharshah, Vijayawada, Gudur, Chennai Central, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Krishnarajapuram and Bangalore Cantt.
Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on 27.3.2013.
SPECIAL TRAIN TOWARDS ROURKELA FROM PURI & BHUBANESWAR
In view to clear wait listed passengers in regular trains towards Rourkela and to provide better passenger comforts to the commuters, especially to the students who are going to appear examination, East Coast Railway has decided to run special trains between Puri & Rourkela and Bhubaneswar & Chakradharpur via Rourkela.
08446/08445 Puri-Rourkela-Puri special train will leave Puri at 05.25hrs on 6th April 2013 (Saturday) and will arrive at Rourkela at 15.30hrs on the same day. In the return direction, this train will leave Rourkela at 21.45hrs on 7th April 2012 (Sunday) and will arrive at Puri at 09.35hrs on the following day.
This train will stop at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Talcher Road, Angul, Boinda, Rairakhol, Sambalpur City and Jharsuguda between Puri & Rourkela having Two AC-2 tiers, Three AC-3 tiers, Five Sleeper Class, Four General Second Class and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition.
Another pair of special 08464/08463 Bhubaneswar-Rourkela-Chakradharpur-Bhubaneswar Examination special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 09.15hrs on 6th April 2012 (Saturday) and will arrive at Chakradharpur at 21.00hrs on the same day. In the return direction, this train will leave Chakradharpur at 22.00hrs on 7th April 2012 (Sunday) and will arrive at Bhubaneswar at 08.15hrs on the following day.
This train will stop at Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Talcher Road, Angul, Boinda, Rairakhol, Sambalpur City, Jharsuguda and Rourkela between BHubaneswar & Chakradharpur having One AC-2 tier, Three AC-3 tier, Eleven Sleeper Class, Four General Second Class and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition.

To clear extra rush, Western Railway will run Special (Weekly) Garib Rath AC Express between Ahmedabad and Jammu Tawi for the benefit of passengers.
Train No. 02207 Ahmedabad - Jammu Tawi Weekly Garib Rath AC Special Express will leave Ahmedabad at 15.00 hrs on every Friday from 5th April, 2013 to 28th June, 2013 and will reach Jammu Tawi at 20.00 hrs on Saturday.
Similarly, Train No. 02208 Jammu Tawi - Ahmedabad Weekly Garib Rath AC Special Express will leave Jammu Tawi at 09.30 hrs on every Thursday from 4th April, 2013 to 27thJune, 2013 and will reach Ahmedabad at 13.35 hrs on next day.
It will have only AC 3 tier coaches.
This train will halt at Sabarmati Jn, Mehasana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, Rani, Marwar Jn, Pali Marwar, Luni, Jodhpur, Gotan, Merta Road, Degana, Didwana, Ladnun, Sujangarh, Ratangarh, Churu, Sadulpur, Hissar, Dhuri, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt., Chakki Bank and Kathua station in both directions.

IV. 1) With the above 15-car services in April 2013, the
total number of 15-car services on CR will increase from 16 to 26 daily.
2) The introduction of 22 shuttle services and 6 additional 12-car
services will also create additional
capacity for 77000 (approx.) passengers daily..
3) The total suburban services run daily in Mumbai area will increase from
1596 to 1618 daily.
4) The total number of suburban services on main line
will increase from 803 to 825 daily.
5)
The total services on Sunday/Holiday will increase from 1279 to 1301 daily.
