The Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) passenger train services between Erode and palakkad Town via Coimbatore will commence from May 12.
According to Salem Division officials, train number 66609 Erode-Palakkad Town passenger train services will start on May 12 and will be operational six days of the week, barring Thursdays. The first run will be at 11.15 am from Palakkad Town.
Both the trains will run to open timings between Palakkad Town and Erode and will stop at all stations in both directions between Erode and Palakkad Town.
The regular service in both directions will commence from May 13. During regular service, the train will start will start at 2.30 pm and reach Erode Junction at 7 pm. In the reverse direction, it will start from Erode Junction at 7.45 am and reach Palakkad Town at 12.30 pm.
