Revision in Timing of Nizamuddin - Nagpur Special Trains

Special Trains between Chennai and Shalimar

In order to clear extra rush of passengers, six special trains will run between Chennai and Shalimar via Gudur, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam from 15thOctober to 30th October 2012 as per the following schedule:-

 Train No. 06029 Chennai Central-Shalimar Special Train will depart Chennai Central at 00 30 hrs o­n Mondays i.e., 15th, 22nd and 29thOctober 2012 and arrive Shalimar at 07 00 hrs o­n Tuesdays.

 In the return direction, Train No. 06030 Shalimar-Chennai Central Special Train will depart Shalimar at 15 00 hrs o­n Tuesdays i.e., 16th, 23rd and 30th October 2012 and arrive Chennai Central at 18 05 hrs o­n Wednesdays.

 Enroute, these special trains will stop at Gudur, Nellore, o­ngole, Chirala, Tenali, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Tuni, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttak, Jajpur Khenjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur.


These special trains will comprise of o­ne Ist AC, o­ne AC II Tier, two AC III Tier, Six Sleeper Class, six General Second Class, two Second Class Luggage Cum Brake Van Coaches totaling to eighteen Coaches.

Special Trains Between Nanded and Surat

 In order to clear extra rush of passengers during dussera / diwali festival, South Central Railway will run fourteen special trains between Hazur Sahib Nanded and Surat as per the following schedule:-

Train No. 07609 Nanded-Surat Special Train will depart Hazur Sahib Nanded at 17 20 hrs o­n Tuesdays i.e., 16th, 23rd, 30th October and 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th November 2012and arrive Surat at 10 50 hrs o­n the next day.

In the return direction, Train No. 07610 Surat- Hazur Sahib Nanded Special Train will depart Surat at 12 50 hrs o­n Wednesdays i.e., 17th, 24th, 31st October and 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th November 2012 and arrive Hazur Sahib Nanded at 04 45 hrs o­n the next day.

Enroute, this train will stop at Purna, Hingoli, Washim, Akola, Malkapur, Bhusawal, Jalgaon, Amalner and Nadurbar.
These special trains comprise o­ne AC II Tier, o­ne AC III Tier, five Sleeper class, two General Second Class, o­ne Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van Coaches totaling to Twelve Coaches.

CR TO INTRODUCE SIXTEEN 15-CAR SERVICES

TOTAL MAIN LINE SERVICES INCREASED FROM 785 TO 803

Central Railway will introduce 15-car services o­n its main line from 15.10.2012.  The total number of services o­n main line will increase from 785 to 803. The total peak hour services will increase from 165 to 170. The total fast services will increase from 206 to 233.

Locals leaving Kalyan at 9.00 pm (for Thane), 9.56 pm (for Kurla); leaving Dombivali at 10.54 pm (for Kurla) and Ambarnath at 11.36 pm (for Thane)

EXTENSION /CHANGE IN TERMINAL

DTL-1 local leaving Dadar at 8.26 pm will run from CST (dep. 8.09 pm)

A-63 local leaving CST at 8.00 pm will leave CST at 7.56 pm and run up to Badlapur

DBL-4 local leaving Badlapur at 9.25 am (Dadar arr.10.37 am) will run up to CST (arr. 10.51 am)

REVISION IN TIMINGS

Northern Railway has decided to revise the timings of run of Festival special train no. 02438/02437 H.Nizamuddin- Nagpur- Hazrat Nizamuddin Air-conditioned Superfast Weekly express as per the following programme:-

The 02438 H.Nizamuddin- Nagpur Air-conditioned Superfast Weekly special train will depart from H.Nizamuddin at 10.00 a.m. to reach Nagpur at 04.40 a.m. the next day. In the return direction, the 02437 Nagpur- Hazrat Nizamuddin Air-conditioned Superfast Weekly special train will depart from Nagpur at 06.20 a.m. to reach H.Nizamuddin at 11.55 p.m. the same day. The other features like route, stations, composition etc. will remain as unchanged.

AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS

For the convenience of the rail passengers and to increase the passenger carrying capacity, Railways have decided to augment trains on temporary basis as per the following programme:


The 12301/12302 & 12305/12306 Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express trains will be augmented by one additional A.C. 3 Tier coach each from 12.10.2012 to 30.11.2012 when departing from Howrah and from 13.10.2012 to 01.12.2012 when departing from New Delhi.

The 12167/12168 Varanasi Jn.-Lokmanyatilak T.- Varanasi Jn. Superfast Express train has been augmented by one additional A.C. 3 Tier & two additional Sleeper Class coaches with immediate effect.

The 12107/12108Lucknow Jn.-Lokmanyatilak T.- Lucknow JnSuperfast Express will be augmented by one additional Sleeper Class coach from 13.10.2012 when departing from Lokmanyatilak T. & from 14.10.2012 when departing from Lucknow Jn.

The 12173/12174 Pratapgarh- Lokmanyatilak T.- Pratapgarh Udyog Nagri Express will be augmented by one additional Sleeper Class coach from 14.10.2012 when departing from Lokmanyatilak T. & from 16.10.2012 when departing from Pratapgarh.

WITHDRAWAL OF ADDITIONAL STOPPAGE

Northern Railway has earlier announced regarding provision of additional stoppage to the train no. 19781/19782 Jaipur- Amritsar- Jaipur express at Malerkotla from 16.10.2012. However, the facility of additional stoppage is withdrawn with immediate effect. 

SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY TO RUN MORE PUJA SPECIALS

In order to clear extra rush of passengers during the festive season, South Eastern Railway has decided to run more Special trains between Shalimar/Santragachi to various parts of the country including Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore & Gondia.

 CHENNAI SPECIAL

06030 Shalimar-Chennai Superfast Special will leave Shalimar at 15.00 hrs. on 16th October, 23rd October and 30th October and will reach Chennai at 18.05 hrs. on the next day. In the return direction, 06029 Chennai-Shalimar Superfast Special will leave Chennai at 00.30 hrs. on 15th October, 22nd October and 29th October and will arrive Shalimar at 07.00 hrs. on the next day.

The train will have one AC 1st Class, one AC-2tier, two AC-3tier, six Sleeper Class and six General Second Class coaches.It will have stoppages at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar,Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Tuni, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Tenali, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore and Gudur between Shalimar and Chennai.

OTHER SPECIALS

In order to maximize the utilization of coaches and to clear extra rush of passengers the following special trains have also been planned:-

2.Santragachi-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus(Mumbai) Express (one trip) on 18.10.2012

3.Santragachi-Bangalore Express (one trip) on 16.10.12

TEMPORARY STOPPAGE AT FEROK

The following trains will stop at Ferok railway station of Palghat division to facilitate the HAJ pilgrims.

01005 special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 07.50 am o­n 5.10.2012 and will arrive Delhi Safdanrganj at 07.30 am next day.

Halts: Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Bina, Jhansi, Agra Cantonement

Composition: 12 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class and 2 General Second Class cum guard's brake van

SPECIAL TRAINS BETWEEN BANDRA (T) & BHAVNAGAR

To clear extra rush during the festive season of Durga Pooja and Diwali, Western Railway will run special trains for the benefit of passengers.

Bandra Terminus-Bhavnagar WeeklySpecial Train (26 services)

Train No.09231 Bandra Terminus – Bhavnagar Weekly Special train will depart at 12.55 hrs o­n every Monday from Bandra Terminus and reach Bhavnagar at 04.10 hrs the next day. This train will run from 8th October to 31st December, 2012.

Similarly, Train No. 09232 Bhavnagar – Bandra Terminus Weekly Special will leave from Bhavnagar o­n every Sunday at 17.05 hrs. arriving Bandra Terminus at 07.35 hrs. the next day. This train will run from 7th October to 30th December, 2012.

The train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Nadiad, Maninagar, Ahmedabad, Sabarmati, Viramgam, Joravarnagar, Botad, Dhola and Songarh stations in both directions.

The train will have AC III Tier, sleeper class and II class General coaches.

The booking for Train Nos. 09231/09232 will start from 5th October, 2012.

Nizamuddin – Madgaon - Nizamuddin AC Special

Konkan Railway has now introduced the following 08 additional AC Special Trains between Nizamuddin and Madgaon for the convenience of its most valuable and esteemed passengers. The details of these train services are as under:

With these additional train services, the total number of Winter Special Trains being run on Konkan Railway Route during this season rises to 34. It is requested that wide publicity may kindly be given for the information and convenience of the esteemed passengers travelling on Konkan Railway Route.

Withdrawal of Pantry Car

SCR extends Secunderabad-Jaipur-Secunderabad Special Train

In order to clear extra rush of passengers, South Central Railway will extend the run of Train No. 09735 / 09736 Secunderabad-Jaipur-Secunderabad Special train for eight more services to the existing timings and stoppages.

 Accordingly, Train No. 09735 Secunderabad-Jaipur special train will depart Secunderabad at 23 25 hrs o­n 8th , 15th, 22nd and 29thOctober 2012 (Mondays) and arrive Jaipur at 06 15 hrs o­n Wednesdays.

In the return direction Train No. 09736 Jaipur-Secunderabad special train will depart Jaipur at 21 10 hrs o­n 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th October 2012 (Saturdays) and arrive Secunderabad at 03 55 hrs o­n Mondays.
