Railways have decided to run 5 days a week special trains (except on Tuesday and Wednesday) between Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai and Pernem to clear the extra rush of passengers during summer holidays. The details are as under –
01039 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 00.30 hrs daily (except Tuesday and Wednesday) from 19.4.2012 to 9.6.2012 (38 trips) and will reach Pernem at 12.30 same day. 01040 Special will leave Pernem at 13.00 hrs daily (except Tuesday and Wednesday) from 19.4.2012 to 9.6.2012 (38 trips) and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 00.20 hrs next day.
Halts: Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Rajapur, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, and Sawantwadi
Composition: 8 sleeper class, one AC-3 tier, 4 General Second Class/Seating and 2 General Second Class cum Luggage Vans
