NEW HARIDWAR-VALSAD EXPRESS (WEEKLY ) TRAIN

In keeping with the budgetary proposal for the year 2010-11 and development of rail infrastructure, Northern Railway has achieved another mile stone by introducing a new train service between Haridwar and Valsad.  Shri Harish Rawat, Hon'ble Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Govt. of India and Sh. Madan Kaushik, Hon'ble Minister for Excise, Tourism, Urban Development, Sugarcane Development and Sugar Industry, Uttrakhand flagged off the 12912/12911 Haridwar-Valsad Express (weekly) service from Haridwar  station this evening. General Manager, Northern Railway Sh. S.K. Budhalakoti and Divisional Railway Manager,Moradabad, Sh. Ramesh Chandra along with other senior officers from the state and Northern Railway were present on this occasion.

The train 12911 will depart from Valsad on every Tuesday at 3.40 p.m. to reach Haridwar at 4.15 p.m. the next day. While in the return direction the 12912 will depart from Haridwar on every Wednesday at 6.40 p.m. to reach Valsad at 7.50 p.m. the next day. Consisting of AC 2 Tier,  AC 3 Tier, Sleeper class and General Class , the 12911/12912 Haridwar-Valsad Express (weekly) train will stop at Roorkee, Meerut City, Ghaziabad, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Bharatpur, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodra, Ankleshwar, Surat and Navsari stations enroute in both the directions.


The introduction of this train has fulfilled a long standing demand of rail passengers of these two states. This train will offer a very convenient and high speed service and will provide more option of travel to and from Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh, National capital of Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra & Gujrat. This will also boost the tourism and business opportunities in the area.
