AUGMENTATION OF TRAINS

For the convenience of the passengers the following trains will be augmented/have been augmented as per the programme:-

The train no. 12523/12524 New Jalpaiguri-New Delhi Bi weekly Express has been augmented by one additional A.C. 2 Tier coach with immediate effect on permanent basis.

The train no. 15903/15904 Dibrugarh-Chandigarh weekly Express has been augmented by one additional A.C. 3 Tier coach with immediate effect on permanent basis.

The train no. 12107/12108 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Lucknow Super Express has been augmented by one additional  second class general coach with immediate effect.


The train no. 12531/12532 Gorakhpur-Lucknow-Gorakhpur Intercity Express  will be  augmented by one additional A.C. Cahir Car  coach .

The train no. 15035/15036 Delhi Jn.-Kathgodam-Delhi Jn.  Uttranchal Sampark Krnati Express will be  augmented by one additional A.C. 3 Tier coach.

The train no. 25035/25036 Ram Nagar-Delhi Jn. Link Express  will be augmented by one additional  A.C. 3 Tier coach.

NEW HARIDWAR-VALSAD EXPRESS (WEEKLY ) TRAIN

In keeping with the budgetary proposal for the year 2010-11 and development of rail infrastructure, Northern Railway has achieved another mile stone by introducing a new train service between Haridwar and Valsad.  Shri Harish Rawat, Hon'ble Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Govt. of India and Sh. Madan Kaushik, Hon'ble Minister for Excise, Tourism, Urban Development, Sugarcane Development and Sugar Industry, Uttrakhand flagged off the 12912/12911 Haridwar-Valsad Express (weekly) service from Haridwar  station this evening. General Manager, Northern Railway Sh. S.K. Budhalakoti and Divisional Railway Manager,Moradabad, Sh. Ramesh Chandra along with other senior officers from the state and Northern Railway were present on this occasion.

The train 12911 will depart from Valsad on every Tuesday at 3.40 p.m. to reach Haridwar at 4.15 p.m. the next day. While in the return direction the 12912 will depart from Haridwar on every Wednesday at 6.40 p.m. to reach Valsad at 7.50 p.m. the next day. Consisting of AC 2 Tier,  AC 3 Tier, Sleeper class and General Class , the 12911/12912 Haridwar-Valsad Express (weekly) train will stop at Roorkee, Meerut City, Ghaziabad, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Bharatpur, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodra, Ankleshwar, Surat and Navsari stations enroute in both the directions.


The introduction of this train has fulfilled a long standing demand of rail passengers of these two states. This train will offer a very convenient and high speed service and will provide more option of travel to and from Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh, National capital of Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra & Gujrat. This will also boost the tourism and business opportunities in the area.

ECoR WEEKLY NEWS

In view of rush in different trains during winter and to clear waitlisted passengers, East Coast Railway has decided to augment additional coaches in some of the important trains originating from its jurisdiction and also running special trains to different directions.

New Delhi bound Purusottam Express, Neelachal Express trains, Puri-Jodhpur, Bhubaneswar-Pondichery, Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad Visakha Express, Visakhapatnam-LTT and Puri-Durg Express trains will be augmented with additional coaches to clear extra rush and wait listed passengers.


SPECIAL TRAIN BETWEEN VISAKHAPATNAM & KOLLAM

In view of the demands, ECoR is running special train between Visakhapatnam and Kollam. 08577/08578 Visakhapatnam-Kollam-Visakhapatnam Special train is leaving Visakhapatnam on every Sunday at 09.00a.m and will run upto 23rd January 2011. In the return direction, this train is leaving Kollam on every Monday at 07.15p.m and will run upto 24th January 2011.

This train has one AC-2 tier, one AC-3 tier, 04 Sleeper Class, 06 General Second Class, 02 First Class & 02 Guard-Cum-Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at major stations between Visakhapatnam & Kollam.

SAMBALPUR-VISAKHAPATNAM-NIZAMABAD BI-WEEKLIES TO RUN WITH REVISED TIMINGS AT SECUNDERABAD & KAMAREDDI.


The timings of Sambalpur-Visakhapatnam-Nizamabad-Sambalpur bi-weekly express trains at Secunderabad & Kamareddi have been revised. 18309/18509 Sambalpur-Visakhapatnam-Nizamabad bi-weekly express trains arriving at Secunderabad at 09.05a.m and leaving at 09.40a.m and arriving Kamareddi at 11.05a.m and leaving at 11.06a.m towards Nizamabad instead of its earlier timings. In the return direction, 18310/18510 Nizamabad-Visakhapatnam-Sambalpur bi-weekly express trains arriving Kamareddi at 10.50a.m and leaving at 11.00a.m towards Visakhapatnam and Sambalpur respectively instead of their earlier timings.


ECoR TO EXTEND THE SERVICES OF SPECIAL TRAINS


In view of the demands from the passengers and to avoid rush in regular trains during winter, East Coast Railway has decided to extend the services of special trains towards Pune, Tirupati, Howrah, Siridi and Nizamabad from its jurisdiction.

BHUBANESWAR-PUNE

The services for running of 08482/08481 Bhubaneswar-Pune-Bhubaneswar weekly Special train leaving Bhubaneswar on every Tuesday at 10.15p.m and leaving Pune on every Thursday at 11.15a.m has been extended to run up to 25th January 2011 from Bhubaneswar and upto 27th January 2011 from Pune.

This train has one AC-2 tier, one AC-3 tier, 06 Sleeper Class, 06 General Second Class and 02 Guard-Cum-Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Duvvada, Rajahmundry, Vijaywada, Guntur, Nalgonda, Secunderabad, Wadi and Solapur between Bhubnaneswar and Pune.

PURI-HOWRAH

The services of 08461/08462 Puri-Howrah-Puri Special which is leaving from Puri on Tuesdays at 10.15p.m and leaving Howrah on every Wednesdays at 08.55p.m have been extended to run upto 29th March 2011 from Puri & upto 30th March 2011 from Howrah.

This train has 02 AC-3 tier, 01 AC-2 tier, 09 Sleeper Classes, 06 General Second Class coaches and 02 Guard-Cum-Luggage Vans and in its composition having stoppages at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road & Sakhigopal between Howrah and Puri.

Similarly, the services for running of 08471/08472 Bhubaneswar-Tirupati-Bhubaneswar weekly special trains leaving Bhubaneswar on every Saturday and leaving Tirupati on every Sunday have been extended to run upto 26th March 2011 from Bhubaneswar & upto 27th March 2011 from Tirupati.

The services for running of 08567/08568 Visakhapatnam-Siridi-Visakhapatnam weekly express leaving Visakhapatnam on every Wednesday and leaving Siridi on every Thursday has been extended to run upto 23rd Feb’2011 from Visakhapatnam & upto 24th Feb’2011 from Siridi.

The services for running of 08565/08566 Visakhapatnam-Nizamabad-Visakhapatnam weekly express has been extended to run upto 29th March 2011 from Visakhapatnam & upto 30th Mar’2011 from Nizamabad.


BHUBANESWAR-TIRUPATI WEEKLY SPECIAL TO STOP AT SRIKAKULAM


East Coast Railway has decided to provide the stoppage of Bhubaneswar-Tirupati-Bhubaneswar weekly special train at Srikakulam Road. 08471 Bhubaneswar-Tirupaty Weekly Special train will arrive at Srikakulam Road at 4.25 pm and will leave at 4.27 pm. In the return direction, 18472 Tirupaty-Bhubaneswar Weekly Special trail will arrive at Srikakulam Road at 7.33 am and will leave at 7.35 am towards Bhubaneswar.


BHUBANESWAR-TIRUPATI WEEKLY SPECIAL TRAIN EXTENDED


08471 Bhubaneswar-Tirupati Weekly Special train, which was leaving Bhubaneswar on every Saturday, has been further extended to run up to 26th March 2011 towards Tirupati. Similarly, in the return direction, 08472 Tirupati-Bhubaneswar Weekly Special train leaving Tirupati on every Sunday towards Bhubaneswar will run up to 27th March 2011.

AC COACH IN BHUBANESWAR-BOLANGIR INTERCITY EXPRESS


East Coast Railway has decided to augment one AC-Chair Car temporarily in 12893/12894 Bhubaneswar-Bolangir-Bhubaneswar Inter City Express from 28th December 2010 to 31st December 2010 to avoid rush.

Gorakhpur-Bangalore-Gorakhpur Express to stop at Adoni

South Central Railway has provided stoppage for Train Nos. 12591/12592 Gorakhpur-Bangalore-Gorakhpur Express at Adoni with effect from 1st January, 2011 on an experimental basis for a period of six months.

Accordingly, Train No.12591 Gorakhpur-Bangalore Express will arrive/depart Adoni at 21.26/21.27 hrs.  In the return direction Train No.12592 Bangalore-Gorakhpur Express will arrive/depart Adoni at 23.28/23.29 hrs.

South Western Railway (SWR) has extended the services of special trains that were to expire on December 31. These are as follows:

Train no. 02777 Hubli-Yesvantpur Weekly Special: January 5, 2011 to January 26, 2011 (4 services).
Train no. 02778 Yesvantpur-Hubli Weekly Special: January 7, 2011 to January 28, 2011 (4 services).
Train no. 06539Yesvantpur-Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam Weekly Special: January 4, 2011 to January 22, 2011 (8 services).
Train no.06540 Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam-Yesvantpur Weekly Special: January 5, 2011 to January 23, 2011 (8 services).
Train no. 06535 Yesvantpur-Bijapur Special (Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays): January 2, 2011 to June 29, 2011 (103 services).
Train no. 06536 Bijapur-Yesvantpur Special (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays): January 3, 2011 to June 30, 2011 (103 services).

There will be no changes in the timings and stoppages of these trains.

Two new trains flagged off

The trains – 15612/15611 Kamakhya-Lokmanya Tilak Karmabhoomi Express and the 15717/15718 Guwahati Mariani Intercity Express have been introduced due to long standing public demands.

WINTER SPECIAL TRAINS

The following Winter Special Trains will be run to clear the extra rush of passengers during winter season.

1.         Bangalore – Villupuram – Bangalore Specials: T. No. 06541 Bangalore – Villupuram Special will leave Bangalore at 23.00 hrs. on 25.12.2010 (Saturday) and arrive Villupuram at 09.20 hrs. next day.  T. No. 06542 Villupuram – Bangalore Special will leave Villupuram at 16.30 hrs. on 26.12.2010 (Sunday) and arrive Bangalore at 04.00 hrs. next day. The composition of the trains will be 5  Sleeper Class, 3 Second Sitting, 8 General Second Class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.  The trains will stop at Bangalore Cantt, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, Chengalpattu and Melmaruvathur.

Advance reservation for the above trains will commence on 25.12.2010.

WR Holiday special train to Bhuj

 To, clear extra holiday rush , Western Railway will run a special train ( 2 trips ) between Bandra Terminus & Bhuj .

Train No.09023 Bandra Terminus  Bhuj  Special train will depart at 12.45  hrs  from Mumbai Central on 27th December , 2010 and will reach Bhuj at 04.30 hrs on next day. Similarly Train No. 09024 Bhuj Bandra Terminus Special train will leave from Bhuj on 29th December , 2010 at 22.45 hrs. arriving Bandra Terminus  at 09.45 hrs. next day.The train will halt at Borivali, Vapi , Valsad , Navsari , Surat, Bharuch , Vadodara , Nadiad , Ahmedabad , Viramgam , Dhrangadhra , Samakhiali and Gandhidham stations in both the directions.The train will have, AC II Tier , AC III Tier, sleeper class and II class General coaches.

The booking of this train will be opened from 26th December , 2010 .

SCR announces 13 special trains

In order to clear the extra rush of holiday traffic, South Central Railway will run 13 special trains between Secunderabad-Kakinada, Hyderabad-Ajmer, Secunderabad- Vijayawada, Guntur-Secunderabad and Machlipatnam-Secunderabad.
Train No.07202/07201 Secunderabad-Kakinada Town-Secunderabad Special Train will depart Secunderabad on December 27 at 23.00 hrs and arrive Kakinada Town at 08.50 hrs the next day. In the opposite direction, Train No.07201 will depart Kakinada Town on December 26 at 21.00 hrs and arrive at Secunderabad at 08.00 hrs. the next day.
Train No.07208 Secunderabad-Vijayawada will depart Secunderabad on December 27 at 05.30 hrs, and arrive at Vijayawada at 11.30 hrs the same day.
Train No.07207 Guntur-Secunderabad special train will depart Guntur on December 26 at 21.00 hrs and arrive Secunderabad at 04.30 hrs on the next day. Train No.07205 between Machilipatnam-Secunderabad will depart Machilipatnam on December 26 at 20.30 hrs and arrive at Secunderabad at 04.55 hrs on the next day.

RAIL SERVICE RESTORED BETWEEN BUDGAUM AND QAZIGUND IN J & K VALLEY

The rail traffic between Baramula and Qazigund stations on Ferozpur Division of Northern Railway was earlier temporarily suspended due to operational reasons.  Northern Railway has decided to restore the service of one pair of train no. 2BBQ/5BBQ between  Budgaum and Qazigund stations with immediate effect as under;-

The train no. 2BBQ DMU will depart from Budgaum at 8.31 a.m. to arrive at Qazigund at 10.05 a.m. the same day while the 5BBQ Qazigund Budgaum DMU train will depart from Qazigund at 4.00 p.m. to arrive at Budgaum at 5.28 p.m. the same day.

The train service between the remaining stretch between Budgaum and Baramula rail section will be restored on completion of repair work.

Extension of Dadar – Sawantwadi Daily Special Train

Railways have decided to extend the service of 01013 / 01014 Daily Special  train between Dadar and Sawantwadi to clear the extra rush of Passengers. These extended services will be run from 27.12.2010 to 26.01.2011.The details are as under:-

01013 Dadar – Sawantwadi Daily Special will leave Dadar at 11.55 pm will reach Sawantwadi at 10.55 am on next day.

01014 Sawantwadi - Dadar Daily Special will leave Sawantwadi at 6.10 pm and will arrive Dadar at 6.30 am on next day.

Reservation: Booking for extended services will be open from 24.12.2010.

Trains diverted on Western Railway

Due to Gurjar agitation at various places in Rajasthan, various long distance trains departing on 22/12/2010 have been rescheduled/ diverted/short terminated/cancelled. Holiday specials for Bhuj and Haridwar

To clear extra rush, Western Railway will run holiday special trains between Mumbai to Bhuj (2 trips ) and from Valsad to Haridwar (one trip only ) for benefit of passengers . The details are as under -

Train No.09069 Valsad  Haridwar  Special train will depart at 15.40 hrs  from Valsad on 24th December , 2010 and reach Haridwar at 23.15 hrs on next day. The train will halt at Navsari , Surat,  Bharuch,  Vadodara , Anand,  Nadiad Ahmedabad , Palanpur,  Abu Road,  Marwar Jn.,  Ajmer , Jaipur,  Rewari ,Delhi Safdarjung , Saharanpur and Lashkar stations in both the directions.

The train will have AC II Tier ,AC III Tier, sleeper class and II class General coaches.

09019 Mumbai Central  Bhuj  Special train

Train No.09019 Mumbai Central Bhuj  Special train will depart at 14.20 hrs  from Mumbai Central on 24th December , 2010 and reach Bhuj at 06.00 hrs on next day.

09020 Bhuj  Bandra Terminus Special train will leave from Bhuj on 26th December , 2010 at 15.30 hrs. arriving Bandra Terminus  at 09.45 hrs. next day.

For the convenience of the passengers, Northern Railway has decided to extend  the run of following trains as per the programme:-

The train no. 0231/0232 Jaipur-Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Jaipur daily winter special train  earlier extended to run upto 20.12.2010 will now run upto 26.12.2010 with revised train no. 09721/09722.

The train no. 0241/0242 Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Rewari  daily winter special train  earlier extended to run upto 20.12.2010 will now run upto 26.12.2010 with revised train no. 09741/09742.

The train no. 0240/0239 Ajmer-Haridwar-Ajmer tri weekly  winter special train  earlier extended to run upto 18.12.2010  from Ajmer and upto  19.12.2010  from Haridwar will now run upto 25.12.2010 from  Ajmer and upto 19.12.2010 from Haridwar with revised train no. 09640/09639.

Special Trains between Mumbai and Madgaon

Central Railway will run four Air condition Special Trains to clear the  extra rush of passengers during Christmas 2010 and New Year 2011.  These specials will have accommodation for approximately 750 persons in all the Aircondition classes per trip. The details are as under:

01009 Special will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai at 20.35 hrs on 24.12.2010 & 1.1.2011 and will arrive Madgaon at 06.30 hrs next day. 01010 Special will leave Madgaon at 21.20 hrs on 26.12.2010 & 2.1.2011 and will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai at 07.40 hrs next day. Halts: Thane, Panvel, Ratnagiri, Thivim, Karmali
